Sirius XM’s Julie James and Aladdin’s James Monroe Iglehart will emcee the May 9 Performers4Peace benefit concert at New York City's 42West. Lesli Margherita, Daniel Breaker, Carly Hughes, Bryan Terrell Clark, Mara Davi, Griffin Matthews, Brandon Uranowitz and many more will sing in support of Forest Whitaker’s Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative. In this exclusive look at rehearsal, Mykal Kilgore took to the studio to rehearse Stevie Wonder's “Love's in Need of Love Today” with the show’s music director Annastasia Victory sitting in on piano. Stafford Arima directs.

Mykal Kilgore does not have the recognition he deserves. This recording has been my go to for a few years now when I feel a loss of hope. I love Stevie Wonder’s version and words but THIS is the version I have in my head when I sing it or want to hear it. Thank you for this.

Okay Mykal Kilgore blows the song out of the water. But the pianist is on POINT. Okay. She looks like she's having the most fun. Would have loved to hear her play on a grand piano where you can hear the lush melodies a bit more. But, all in all, this is top shelf singing here.
