Father, I’m going through a deep identity crisis and questioning the Lord 100%. I need prayer and I need it now I’m 74 years old. I am almost at the end of my life and I’m not sure anymore. I cannot get a priest to come and visit me and I’m afraid please pray for me. Thank you.

Put yourself in our Blessed Mother’s heart whom Jesus gave to us. She will bring you to her Son. She understands what you are going through. She had the most difficult time watching her Son suffer and die. She will help you find peace. Jesus wants you to have peace. You are to Him as if you were the only one He suffered and died for. Say the “Hail Mary” if you know it and peace will come over you. I will pray it also and I know how special you are to Jesus and His mother. I love you but Our Lord loves you most of all ♥️🙏✝️

when I suffered abuses from my own relatives, I prayed to God to give me justice. I would go to the blessed sacrament and stayed there for an hour or two, not telling God anything but just shedding tears. everyday I would do that. and of course at home I would pray the rosary for justice. and so God is a God of Justice and vengeance is His. so I was able to get justice and I was able to forgive. 🙏🙏🙏

AWESOME!!! "he who fears has not been made perfect in love... Is.8 says, "don't be afraid of what the world is afraid of lest we make the heart of the Father sad." I even made a video here about the day I realized God was picky, and I read all the scriptures about pleasing God and it's not too hard! It's hell on earth to live to please yourself... that video can be found on our page with a picture of eggs on it. Living a life to please God was life changing for me. And one of my favorite vs. is "we pass from death unto life when we love the bretren"... Loving those we do see has everything to do with loving Him who we don't see!

My mom is 80 and still has the scars from the past. She's a hurt person who hurts other. She needs prayers. When we all tell her. We are praying for her, she tells us , I don't need no one to pray for me. She was raped at 15, and her parents divorced when she was born.😥. She lost her last born at birth, my only brother. I keep praying for her soul.😥 she doesn't forgive the past pain, my dad caused her when they were young. Her body is now full of physical pain.she verbally expresses her hate to her neighbor. She needs conversion. She does NOT go to Church, never did. My Dad is who brought me to Church and gave me the True Church. My heart aches for her soul.

Many yrs ago, a colleague told me that I needed to pray to receive the saving grace of Jesus - so, I prayed a simple Jesus pray and when we said Amen, I felt forgiven of all my trangressions and a tremendous weight was lifted off my mind as I instantly/miraculously forgave everyone I was holding grudges against. Heavy chains were broken and lifted. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for your endless love.

My daughter was killed years ago and the people responsible for her death I wanted revenge. I realized that it was not my place for revenge that was God’s place. It was by the grace of God I was able to forgive. Sometimes if I dwell on the whole situation I want to go back to anger but that is just Satan working on me. If I want to be true to my faith I need to follow Jesus example and realize these people need forgiveness. Today I wish them no Ill well. Nobody told me the Christian life would be easy as a matter fact I was told at times it could be difficult.

I am so very sorry For your loss and your trail of this loss Against you and yours…. But because your finally able to forgive this perpetration against you today And because of this your heart no longer carries that daily pain, grievance and the hurt,
not that I’ve been through this situation itself but close enough to know what several calls that your oldest son OD’d & we expected the call he was dead every day, then he did the worst things possible to us/me, and when my own soul was shattered and I couldn’t comprehend the pain and everything in my life was ripped apart…. And I didn’t want to forgive him ever especially when I thought about everything we did for him ( actually them - babies momma kind of thing ), which also my wife turned against me for a year or two or three and brought us very very close to divorce several times …. And my life was at its lowest point ever. ( in 2001 I re- injured a military injury and was as close to fully quadriplegic as one could ever be for over a year and deal with the effects of a massive spinal cord injury to this day…. ( Gods love has been with me and has healed me greatly ) Even that didn’t hurt as bad as what my own child did me, which to this very day, probably 4-5 years ago, I am still paying for and reminded of this every day if I didn’t ask for protection from this action alone it would eat me alive )And like you have to scho away the evil thoughts, feelings and emotions that still pop up from time to time
So to you, I hope that Gods LOVINGKINDNESS is upon your every breath, every step and every day and on the day of your time May Christs hug of eternal love and joy be yours for eternity

Yes I had to learn to forgive a real murderer also. Jesus said, even when we look down on others, it's a spirit of murder... We have all done things God hates.. Murder isn't the 1st sin. Pvb 6. It's pride, lying, living to make people guilty instead of living to help others become innocent. If you google Precious Testimonies, A MAN SENT FROM GOD, you can read my long testimony. Or search here for out of the ashes and into the fire. Yellowstone Valley Women's magazine, Ceci Sullivan. God Bless you. My life went to very dark places seeing myself as a victim, and losing all hope in depression. HE SENT HIS WORD AND HEALED ME AND DELIVERED ME. The only govt of satan is words... he seduced Adam and Eve out of the garden with words... The battle of life, the govt of God vs the govt of darkness is the only battle to fight. Ps. 119:92 Unless His judgments, His words HAD become my delight, my soul would have perished in my affliction!

  • @elizabethl6187
    @elizabethl6187 Год назад +10

    1) The victim’s scars and memories continue to stab them, long after the abuse. It’s learning to deal with those random “stabbings,” that really leads to emotional healing.
    2) The vast majority of the time, the abuser enjoyed hurting the victims and will never feel remorse. Do not give up the idea of exposing them and possibly bringing them to justice: not for yourself, but in an effort to spare their next victim what you suffered.
    3) When you pray, “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners” mention names of people you know. When X’s name comes up, say their name however many beads it takes to release your despair of ever seeing justice. However many days it takes. That’s the mental choice of forgiveness and the emotional process. Give them to the Lord.
    4) God bless you on your journey and be encouraged that you will heal.

This homily is very inspiring for me . Forgiveness is difficult . I've been carrying a lot of anger towards some people who have and are being hurtful and abusive . I am a cancer survivor , blessed by the grace of God who gave me a second chance at life. I've started recently to pray for those people who are abusive and destructive. It is freeing in some way and brings me peace. Thank you Fr Mark 🙏🙂

    • @genepsullivan
      @genepsullivan 11 месяцев назад

Yes, w.e have all been selfish, abusive in some ways "you were once darkness"... even being darkness to others. It's very easy for us to see the log in the eyes of others, but to be reconciled to God, sometimes takes understanding why others do what they do. We are not in a flesh and blood battle. Pride, lying, the things God hates we have all done to some degree. Learning how to love a "Ted Bundy" who grew up in the Catholic Church, actually helped me understand how all we like sheep go astray... Not that I did the things he did, but even understanding the deceit of the human soul in what Adam and Eve did, Cain did, there is NO SIN not common to man. In the beatitudes, Jesus said himself to judge to condemn others, is how the devil himself snares our own soul. There are some video's on my page called LOVE WAXED COLD.... we need to fight to have the attributes of Jesus. Pure in heart, merciful, bless those who curse us.... "SO SHALL YOU BE THE CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH... for he has blessed us, when we weren't doing well also... Pray for those who cause us to suffer. Watch the movie Called FATHER STU, he suffered well. We all drink the cup of suffering, and we can KNOW GOD, and how we have made him suffer, if we KNOW HIS SUFFERING instead of focusing on our own!!!

I needed to hear this today. It is a daily struggle to remove anger and hate from my heart when I see what is happening to my country. I see corrupt people controlling our education and government and I am fearful as well as anger. I feel powerless against these powerful people. I have to remember to trust that GOD will win in the end. Instead of hating these people I have to pray for them. I still believe we ALL must fight the cabal that is trying to destroy the United States but at the same time we must not let the anger we feel corrupt our own souls.

Tolerance is not true love, nor is turning a blind eye to sin.
(Luke 17:3-4)Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
(Leviticus 19:17) Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
Note: The Bible shows us the true way to love and act towards our neighbor. Nowadays, under the pretext of “LOVE”, we are even tolerating sin. God, as a good Father, not wanting his children to go to eternal perdition, has always corrected his people when they strayed into evil.

I was just on the phone with my friend who went through a bitter divorce years ago. She brought up her X & I reminded her how the Lord's prayer states to forgive others, so we can be forgiven. Thank you Father Mark. I will share this beautiful homily with her.

I find it easier to forget the wrong that someone had done to me. Eventually the forgiveness comes a little more easy to do & not too bothersome. ONLY PRAYER & the GRACE OF GOD can enable us to do this.

Father, it has been the most difficult thing to do especially people hurt you physically and emotionally through out your life. I understand though that this is something that must be done no matter how much it hurts. I have seen ugly grudges and a lot of regret...I don't want any part of that.
Thank you for this homily. I know I must be much better for not myself, but for this crazy world we live in where now we don't even give room for forgiveness anymore. Peace be with you all and God bless. 🙏

Everything is going to be okay. Our mind can start going off in wrong directions. Fear is the mind killer. When I get upsetting thoughts, I just “rest in the Lord”. Imagine Him right there with you, giving you a big hug, and telling you to let all anxiety go. Just let Him heal your mind. You are loved. You don’t have to worry. He is giving His peace to you. I’m praying for you, and many around the world are praying for you. You are loved. This confusion and fear and anxiety will leave you. Everything is going to be okay.

Once upon a time, there was a customer who came in every day to pick up something for lunch. In one series of interactions, she asked why we never had tuna sandwiches. We did, but they did sell out fast, so we made sure to order a bit more and even slid one to the back so there would be one available for her. She comes in, but she's not hunger for tuna that day. She voices her irritation that we'd assume she wanted tuna every day. Her manner mirrors her words. Each day, she acts out her irritation in some manner before she leaves, snatching the bag out of the clerk's hand, a negative comment, something. Why don't you have tuna _salad_ ? Always something and the abrupt, negative behavior. It got to the point that I dreaded seeing her pull up.
One day, after she was particularly... negative.... and I was again trying to figure out what I could have done differently somehow, I thought how awful it must be to be her. To go through life, every day, miserable and nasty like that. How incredibly sad 😕
    - and I said a little prayer for her.
The next day and the next day weren't as hard for me after that. When I felt the dread of her visit, I said a little prayer for God to help her with whatever was making her so miserable. After she left, leaving her wake of negativity behind her, another little prayer. The prayers immediately did wonders for peace of mind for each of the staff who adopted the practice.
BUT, _now, the point of this long comment,_ within just a week or two of the beginning of the prayers, she stopped coming in at all. At that point, even her absence still triggered a prayer for her. When she came in the next time, maybe a month later, she was the most friendly, lovely customer you would ever want to meet. I KNOW! 😮 As you can imagine, we were pleasantly surprised.
Some days, she would even have a bit of relaxed conversation during the transaction.
As it turned out, over time, we learned that a lot had gone on in her life during that absence. Resolution of employment issues, a new beau, among other personal items.
Maybe six months later, she moved away from the area. I hope she's doing well.
(Maybe I should say a little prayer for her again, since I'm thinking of her.)
For me, the whole thing was such a clear example to remember.
    So I thought I'd share.

I recall Fr. Bob Bedard CC also saying, “Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling.” and... “We’ve heard it said “forgive and forget” but God created us with a memory. Each time the bad memory comes to us, pray for the the person [our enemy] who wounded us. If we continue to do so, then in time even when we recall what happened it no longer triggers pain or anger.”
Bring this to the foot of the cross. Additionally one can pray for the healing of our own wounds.

    This happened to me -
1 Speak the (ugly real ) truth to God. (What u really think and feel)
2 Let Him show u how u would feel if someone treated u that way
    3 See the true you
4 Know u dont have any place in Heaven
    Then
    5 ..look at Jesus.
    Suddenly it all makes sense
This really helped me see the truth and the value and place of
    Honesty
    Remorse , and then,
    Hope and gratitude
