@@fatimav441 He said "There is a reasonable hope that all may be saved". When explaining that, he says that does not mean a knowledge that all will be saved. He says there is not even an expectation that all will be saved. He speaks of a hope, based on the will of God that all may be saved, and also based on CCC 1821, which states that 'In hope, the Church prays for "all men to be saved"'. Now, many people are against him for this statement. I honestly don't know what's wrong with the statement, especially because it is based on the will of God, Church teaching on the virtue of Hope, and the Fatima prayer. I don't know what praying "lead all souls to heaven" would mean if I did not genuinely hope that He does what I ask. Believe it or not, that is what he is most criticized for.
I was 'proselytized' when I was in high school and I have had an amazing life in Christ because of it!!!!
We MUST pass the faith in Jesus on to the next generation, that’s in our catechism! ✝️🙏🥰

I love that, Father Mark! My dear sweet Mother had six children. She would write on birthday cards and notes to each of us, “You’re my favorite.” We all knew that she said that to all of us, but guess what? I secretly believed she really meant it in my case. As I’m sure my siblings did. ❤️ Thank you for bringing back that beautiful memory. At my next Holy Hour, I’m using that line. 😂😂
I've been doing my 40-day walking challenge. One day, I decided to take a street I'd never been up before, and I looked up into a window, and there was a picture of Jesus's face in the window of a house. The face of God!❤

With all due respect, (I am 67), St. Pope John Paul II travelled the world and spoke to tens of millions. And in some countries, he attracted the greatest crowd in the county's history, and spoke this way much more eloquently and thoroughly. God bless.

We are called to bring as many back to the church so they can get to Heaven. We can receive much grace from leading others to our Father. I pray every day for family and friends who have left the church. Same goes with those who are non Catholic. My gosh, Saint Monica did that for her son.
I have six children and the one with the most joy is a man of faith who has many struggles his faith moves him through with grace. Youth blossom when they embrace faith. Giving them the gift of an opportunity to open themselves to God is above anything else. Our church needs to be clear about the gifts the spirit brings. Youth are suffering more now then ever because of a lack of belief. We cannot be another institution that tells them whoever they are and whatever they believe they are okay: we know they are not and the rise in suicides and self harm is evidence of this.
I am my beloved, and he is mine. His banner over me is love.

Good for bishop Barron. He said the same thing to a catholic high school in California, he told the board of education that the students who were not catholic should be evangelized to. The board didn't want to offend the non catholic students.

You should look into Fr. Pablo Maria de la Cruz from Spain. Recently passed , he offered his young life for the conversion of the youth . His funeral mass was beautiful.
Amen. I can testify to this. I was seeking God, and I desperately did not want it to be Jesus or the Catholic Church. BUT what I wanted more than that in my heart was to know the truth. Jesus Christ led me home and I am born again.

@@mec325 that would be a long story to tell on a RUclips comments board. Is there anything against this in the cathechism? Does it not say in John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” I you prefer you can call it "conversion".
I was born and raised a Catholic and left the church. I was into New Age and occult things and was at a crossroads but searching. I entered the church for the first time in 20 years on the Solemnity of Our Lady of Guadelupe, and my heart felt like it was about to explode out of my chest. 3 days later I realised I was under a Spirit of Deception and 30 seconds later My Father who is Deacon in the Catholic Church knocked on my door. He said "Dave the Holy Spirit sent me over here, he said you are under a Spirit of Deception and to cast if off of you and pray over you for the Holy Spirit." He cast out the demon, and asked me if I rejected Satan and I I accepted Jesus Christ into my life. He then laid hands on me and was in the Spirit speaking in tongues (sounded like aramaic). I felt the Holy Spirit come into me, descend down my spine and enter my heart and the same fire again engulfed my heart. But Satan was not finished with me, and some very intense months of Spiritual Warfare ensued. I almost lost my soul. I was saved by Jesus Christ, the sacraments and the Blessed Virgin Mary very quickly took me under her Loving Mantle of Peace and protection. I consecrated myself to her and devoutly prayed the rosary... which truly is a spiritual weapon.
I know this is not a typical experience, most dont understand. But I can only testify to what I have seen, heard and experienced. My life is no longer my own, it belongs to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

God said: I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is NO SAVIOR (Isaiah 43:11). John 14:6 is very specific that, it is only through Jesus that we can obtain salvation! When you say that you were also saved with the help of the sacraments of the Catholic Church, and that Mary took you under her mantle of peace and protection, this is not AT ALL supported by the Scriptures.
Be careful my friend, Satan is a great deceiver and he syncretizes into religious beings like Mary to better seduce souls.

Fr Goring is correct. You will never experience God if you are intellectually vain or dont care. If you surrender your heart to God, and seek Him with humility, He will fill your heart with His Being and Love. It is amazing! Praise be The Holy Trinity, forever and ever.

I grew up in a house where there's no love just drinking and cursing my whole family were hypocrites no Love Saturday I went to the cathedral there were only ten people in the church and you couldn't scatter them no more all the homilies a read straight from the computer and the church is starting to get the effects of no Love

So true so true. I never want to be out of the circle (or triangle) of the love of the Most Holy Trinity. I want flow in it, with it, through forever! I love you God!
I like this sermon of yours Mark. How we apply the principles and statutes we learn about when reading the bible is so very important. Since if we don't apply them in the spirit of love then that is the wrong way to be devout Christians. Devout Christians appreciate the strengths other Christians have instead of being suspicious of them because of a strong positive trait different than our own expression of that kind of trait. I miss my late sister Sharon who was like that. We need to see all other Christians as greater than ourself when seeking to practise mercy. Mercy towards ourselves too.
