IMPORTANT NOTE: Apparently when you activate & select an Assistant Manager you can't switch managers for the initial Gameweek without using a free transfer. Seems silly to me, but just to warn anyone considering doing this!!
Though i generally understood the chip, this video is tremendously valuable at helping realize different aspects about the chip. Great job! My condolences for your squad's defensive troubles this season.
Great video. I’d been tracking the scores for managers I’ve selected in the last few weeks on X and realised I’ve downplayed the table bonus…. Now I know how much upside there is with it, I’ll likely have 1 safe manager and 2 upside picks
yes you do " Once the chip is activated and the three Gameweeks have been completed, the money spent on your Assistant Manager will be returned to your FPL bank."
I will use the chip. And go aggressive. I will go everton for gw24, fulham gw25 and city gw26. Thoughts? (I know its 3 transfers, but get one each week, and i feel it is more fun than just put it on slot)
Great breakdown fella 👍 Can see me playing it later and the casuals playing it straight away. Personally a Fulham or Palacecis the one i will probably step on. All about the upside this chip.
Great information for those who need it. It's a pain that we won't know the GW33 doubles before the GW24 deadline. I'm still undecided. Slot is the obvious, but I'd be happy with 3 Liverpool players. I think it might be best to go for a manager of a team who don't have three other assets I'd want, so I think I'll probably wait. A late wildcard, getting the team set up for the run-in then playing it in 36 and transferring manager in the last two GWs is very tempting.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I think given I still have the TC to play it makes more sense for me to TC24 & use AM later on when I can choose whether I need to be aggressive or defensive with it based on my rank going into the final few weeks...
I agree, but theres also potentially huge upsides. Take Spurs for example, they're in the trenches due to their injury crisis. In due time when the players return they could provide the table bonus even though theyre a pretty good team that you wouldnt expect it from. That what makes them so interesting in 31-32-33.
Excellent video. One (possibly silly) question: Is the money for the manager chip lost after it expires, or is it recredited to one's account? Not clearly stated
Great video mate! One question, is the table bonus bigger for beating a team higher up the table? For example would postecoglu get more points if spurs beat Liverpool than spurs beat Fulham?
When looking at which chip to use in a dgw, you can't take into account the 2 weeks that aren't the dgw. You have to isolate only the dgw points. So using the assistant manager chip in this dgw for slot will get you a maximum of 6 extra points. For Everton a maximum of 12.
@@malcolmbrown414 same logic as with players 😊 If you want to swap from a 0.5 to a 1.5 you’ll need 1m in the bank to make the move, and you’d gain 1m in your bank if you sold a 1.5 for a 0.5 for example!
Not a bad shout at all mate! You can always transfer to another manager in 25/26 if he won’t get table bonus in those matches based on the table at the time 😊
I prefer using it on Slot in 24 and then moving for the City game, probably to whoever Southampton (sorry) or Leicester play. I think there is certainty in that plan. The other doubles you have no idea who you are using it on for a long time or anything like that and its a complete mindfuck which will cloud everyone's judgement around using transfers and keeping back budget for the chip. I don't think the on the beach plan will work in the very late doubles because I suspect the bottom 3 will all be relegated before GW36 sort of time.
This is the video I’ve been looking for. Absolutely superb and really helpful. You want to promote this video left, right and centre, as you will get loads of new subscribers
When is the table bonus calculated from? Match kickoff? Match end? Start of matchweek? Start of that day? End of matchweek? Starts when chip activated?
Thanks for coming back to me, I personally would of liked something more simple, like 4 x your points on a goalkeeper. Only played once. I also think they should award you a bonus off six points on any player in your team who scores a hat trick, this should be in play all season.
Great helpful video but your analysis section on why it’s the most powerful chip isn’t like for like. Earlier in the video it showed the average points per gameweek for the AM chip was 8-10 points. With the outliers 20-40. I think getting on average 8-10 points for the other three chips on one game week is about equivalent
Agreed on your point here! What I was trying to highlight in that section is why the potential upside is higher for the AM chip, but like you say the averages are more similar 😊
IMPORTANT NOTE: Apparently when you activate & select an Assistant Manager you can't switch managers for the initial Gameweek without using a free transfer. Seems silly to me, but just to warn anyone considering doing this!!
Great video mate. Well edited keep it up.
Thanks man, that means so much coming from you especially! ❤️
Excellent Explanation wity examples. Though we knew how it works, quantifying and comparing helped a lot.
So glad it was helpful!! 🙏
best explainer yet of this new stupid chip - love flp yet this chip just seems so over complicated - good work dude
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Yeah it does doesn't it haha, not a fan at all.
Excellent video. Best explanation I’ve seen out there, plus hints and tips of when / who to use it as well 👍
Thanks so much for watching, I’m really glad you found it helpful! 😊
Really helpful, I thought I am the only one who thought using slot for GW 24 and change to other manager for maximizing the chips, well done bro🔥
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Great video mate. Keep Going 💪
Thanks mate will do! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Absolutely brilliant content! First time watcher but now Long time fan! Can’t wait for the next Vid!! Great work 💪🏻⭐️

Good Video mate ,, well done , perfect timing. Btw do we get the manager money back though ?? after the GWs are over.
yes you do " Once the chip is activated and the three Gameweeks have been completed, the money spent on your Assistant Manager will be returned to your FPL bank."
Thanks! Yeah yo do get it back afterwards 😁
Great video , very helpful

Good, almost same as my idea gw24 everton gw25 fulham gw26 ipswich
@ i like the risk factor. Makes it more interesting. You should consider city in gw26, considering their new signings
Yeah I like it, good shout mate!
That’s my plan too.
Was thinking of. Moyes AM and bringing in ndiaye for Cunha for GW24, what do u think?
I have brought Moyes in as AM
Great Content Pricey 💯🔥
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it 🔥
How do I use it. When I try and transfer in a manager it doesn’t let me add to the team
Do you have the right amount of money spare? And have you activated the chip first? 😊
Superb content.
Glad you enjoyed it Martin! 😊
That’s great thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great breakdown fella 👍
Can see me playing it later and the casuals playing it straight away.
Personally a Fulham or Palacecis the one i will probably step on. All about the upside this chip.
Yeah completely agree - the upside if you're chasing rank or mini league rivals at the end of the season could be a game changer!
Great information for those who need it. It's a pain that we won't know the GW33 doubles before the GW24 deadline. I'm still undecided. Slot is the obvious, but I'd be happy with 3 Liverpool players. @fplpricey I agree. Worst case scenario, you get to end the season with a massive boost to your score.
Chasing table bonus is a potential banana skin, there is a reason they 5 places below in the first place!
Absolutely! Like I say in the video it’s potentially high upside but could also be a disaster! 😩
I agree, but theres also potentially huge upsides. Take Spurs for example, they're in the trenches due to their injury crisis. Recredited I believe (99% certain but you never know until it’s live I guess!) 😁
@@fplpricey I think you are correct - but very poor drafting not to make that explicit, in my view
Great video mate! One question, is the table bonus bigger for beating a team higher up the table? For example would postecoglu get more points if spurs beat Liverpool than spurs beat Fulham?
Thanks man! No the table bonus is consistent, it is the same for any teams 5+ places above 😁

You have to isolate only the dgw points.
So using the assistant manager chip in this dgw for slot will get you a maximum of 6 extra points. For Everton a maximum of 12.
Agreed! But you can still get more than 6 or 12 points respectively - you can also get the points for goals & clean sheets too 😁
Superb summary video! One question... can you captain the assistant manager? I plan you use mine on Slot in GW24.
Sadly not! Thanks for watching & glad you enjoyed it 😊
Great video! Currently 37th in the world, tough debate whether to play AM conservatively or go ballsy
@@Luca-o3r that’s crazy!! 🔥🔥🔥 Gotta go for gold right? 💪
@ for sure, only 28 points off 1st place!
Ballsy.. I would swing away for the win...
Great video. If a manager gets suspended then what happens? Do you lose the GW points?
No all good, you keep the points! You’re effectively backing the team, not the manager 😊
With regard to manager prices, if you make multiple changes are you paying a fee each time?
@@malcolmbrown414 same logic as with players 😊 If you want to swap from a 0.5 to a 1.5 you’ll need 1m in the bank to make the move, and you’d gain 1m in your bank if you sold a 1.5 for a 0.5 for example!

Yeah you do 😊
What do u think mate about Moyes in double 24 for amc?
Not a bad shout at all mate! You can always transfer to another manager in 25/26 if he won’t get table bonus in those matches based on the table at the time 😊
@@fplpricey I am definitely going for it now! Thanks mate!
If i buy Arne Slot and the 3 games are finished what about my 1.5m on him ? are they go back to my bank team ?

Yeah absolutely fair enough, Slot is a good reliable option & like you say there’s more certainty there! 😊
Does it cost a free transfer to bring in the manager at first?
@yanks250125 not the first time, but if you then change managers at any point after that in that Gameweek, or then in weeks 2 & 3 it does 😊
If your AST manager gets booked do yoi loose points like a player would?
@@daveyirons no you don’t 😊

You have to wait until GW24 at least 😊
Nice video. I'm thinking Palace manager in GW31-33

Don’t forget if you leave playing it to week 36 or later, make sure you don’t run out of game weeks to use any other chips you have left.
For sure! 🔥

@@yanks250125 it’s based on the table at the start of the Gameweek 😊
Went and had another listen. Ok so start of the gameweek. And that will be calculated every game week, even if I keep the same manager for 3 weeks?
@ yeah that’s right 😊 Recalculated at the beginning of each individual gameweek!
Can anybody tell me if the chip can be used as a double round like Liverpool s upcoming games???
Yes it can 😊
When I try to use my assistant manager chip it just says info and doesn’t let me play it? Anyone know the solution to this?
I believe you have to activate it on the transfers page rather than the team selection page 😊
But they wont let me use my chip, how do i use it?
@@kristoffermandt1221 you can only use it from GW24 😊
@fplpricey ahh, i dont know how to find that info, thank you. Great video😊

I’m planning to use it late on around DGW36 😊
Clear as mud , I think FPL have ruined FPL bringing this in , they could of come up with a better idea.
It does seem random! What do you reckon they should have gone with?
Once the 3 GWs are over, is that it? You buy another outfield player?
@@NormanClaret1882 you never lose an outfielder in the first place 😊 This is effectively a 12th playing asset for your team, in the form of a manager!
