I have always wondered about Voldemort and Nagini’s relationship. What created such bond of trust between them, especially as the Dark Lord seemed to have no trust in anyone. He created a false sense of friendship with his followers and only put his own interests first. However there always seemed to be a different aura around that snake. Then we discover she was actually a real person, who was mistreated and had a strong side of affection, especially for Credence, so it had me thinking, why did she join Voldemort? There definitely seems to be more than one reason and in todays video I’m going to explore all of the possible reasons as to why she became the dark lords most trusted accomplice.

Nagini is in love with Credence. Dumbledore kills Credence. Nagini swears revenge. Voldemort offers revenge to Nagini in exchange for being the horcrux. Case closed

I think that Nagini joined Voldemort cuz she felt so lonely and sad after her last transformation and Voldemort was the only one spoke her language
Hahhaa that's a much simpler and reasonable explanation. It was simply because they could communicate. Over the years, even if she had not agreed with voldy's way of life, there was really nothing much she could've done to enjoy her life anyway. People probably fear her. Had she met harry potter first, might've been his companion instead.
All, assuming she still has her human mind but trapped in the snakes body. If she had just become a snake and lost her human intelligence that's another matter.
@@holohulolo Actually there's a simpler solution to the question posed.
Nagini was a woman. Sweet talk/language/communications goes a long way with this gender. It's sexist...yes....but hey, that's reality too. Get over it
@@kargs5krun that's for both genders lol... guys love to be on the receiving end of sweet talk too
@@CosmicComicChronicles Actually, tbh, "real" guys prefer pillow talk over sweet talk AND are shagged, tagged, & bagged most any day of the week with this strategy/difference as well.
Slytherins & Ravenclaws know this much, early on. But not all Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs do until later on, say, by 5th term perhaps.
Which "house" are you (😌) by chance?
@@kargs5krun tbh idk lol how does one find out? :3
Even before I found out she was once human I always felt strangely really sad for her dying and now that we know she was once human I feel even sadder for her
Remember how Ron and Harry's personality changed as a result of wearing the necklace too long. The same might be what happens to Nagini. After a part of his soul became a part of hers he could've also bewitched her to ensure her loyalty.
that's what I am thinking
It's possible
Harry was never horrible but he was a horcrux himself also
@@GhastlyG he also wasn't a planned horcrux. Voldomort couldn't die but he was destroyed. That last part of his soul had to attach to something living...Harry. Voldomort didn't have the luxury of casting enchantments at the moment.
Harry was a Horcrux for almost all the time we acompanied him. If being a horcrux would corrupt you that badly we would have senn it already.
Also: I dont think that the "change in personality" had much to do with the Horcrux. They where desperate for months. The Horcrux merely put the last drops into the bucket, if you ask me.
How desperately alone would someone feel of being trapped in your own head with no ability to communicate. After the first year of seeing everyone flee at the sight of you and/or try to kill you what would you do? If anyone were in this situation, for sheer self-preservation, we would isolate ourselves from everyone. That loneliness would drive anyone mad after just a year. Compound that with so many years that you'd lose count and cease caring. Then along comes this entity, this wisp of what was left of ole Voldy (after he tried and failed to kill Harry) who can actually speak to you! Wouldn't anyone be excited at the prospect? An eventual flesh and blood person you can speak to. Wouldn't you do anything, accept anything, just to finally have a connection after years of complete isolation? I, myself, experienced just three days of isolation due to radiation treatment for cancer and my only communication was through a curtain and that small amount of time nearly drove me to distraction. A decade or two of living like that without even the occasional nurse to talk to would be enough for me to latch onto someone I could talk to and have some type of human interaction. That curse is truly the most horrible of all the curses mentioned in the Potter universe thus far. To be able to transform and interact with people knowing that every second as a human that goes past will be one step closer to never doing anything like it again. As Nagini is used as a Horcrux, the chances are that she will never die unless she's killed. Voldy would never implant part of himself in a finite vessel. That means, an eternity to remember your life as a human, just a speck of time and an eternity of life as a snake.
You make a very valid point, thank you. Are you doing better now?
You're forgetting something though, under the certain conditions and people. Some would consider just 3 days, a piece of cake. 3 days is a walk in the park for me, but then again, I have managed to us the internet to my advantage when I grow bored.
@@BlackRose85789 - That's great! However, nothing is allowed in an irradiated area that isn't able to be contaminated. That means no computer. Had I a computer or phone, it would have been much easier. No books or magazines either. All I had was the TV and had to call the nurse to change the channel. No remote control.
@Michael Cosentino - Oh, man... I hope you're doing better! Hospital beds are a pain... Literally and figuratively!

We just gonna ignore the fact that Nagini was milked to keep Voldemort alive in Goblet of Fire?
Figures snake venom would be something Voldemort wanted to drink or whatever
kshiftkometh lol no he was milking the venom from the snake for the potion that gave him a body 😂
Tagged the wrong person smh
Jarred Jacob no better milked the venom and the milk too
kshiftkometh no. Snakes are reptiles. They don’t make milk or have teats. Milking a snake is a euphemism for taking venom from its fangs. Look up snake milking on RUclips.
It’s hard to believe that sweet, compassionate girl in fantastic beasts would turn into a.murderous sidekick of one of the most evilest wizard of all time.
People can change. Sometimes for the worst when harsh change is forced upon them. That's my theory anyway.
PlotTwist... Voldemort was actually the sidekick/lackey all along.
For me Nagini is one of the best additions by JK in the Fantastic Beasts films.
Such a beautiful tragic creature...
I miss u tonks 😭😔
The love Voldemort showed Nagini was probably him contemplating his living horcrux. As in, he was contemplating a living manifestation of his will to be eternal. That's not love, that's narcissism.
I don’t remember from who I heard this but there was a theory that Tom met nagini long before he went to hogwarts in the cave and that’s how he scared those kids from the orphanage. Well what if maybe the relationship that Tom and nagini had wasn’t romantic maybe it was mother-son relationship. Think about it Tom never had a mother and he was looking for anything that set him apart from others and I doubt many other orphans can talk to snakes. And in fantastic beasts Nagini seems like she’s very protective of Credence so she has the instinct to protect those who can’t protect themselves. And that’s how she also took care of Voldemort when he didn’t have a body by getting “milked” weather it was venom or milk it sounds like a mother/child relationship to me
Maybe on super Carlin brothers.. that seems familiar to me too
Snakes are reptiles. They don’t make milk. “Milking” a snake means taking venom from it’s fangs.
I agree with this theory, because when dumbledore met tom riddle when he was a kid tom said “i can also talk to snakes” therefore showing he had done it in the past, coincidence i think not.
And remember how Tom said in the orphanage that something like, "I can talk to snakes too. THEY FIND ME." Maybe Nagini found him. And in the cave, he might have set her on the other children. Maybe the other children had bullied him and he told this to Nagini and took his revenge this way. Remember how he also said in the orphanage, "I can make things happen to people who are mean to me -- Make them hurt."
tom had mommy issues, i feel he likes his women crazy and rough
do you find it curious that Voldemort, magical equivalent of Hitler obsessed with "blood purity", would embrace an ally like Nagini who was stricken with a blood curse?
A curse is not the same tho. In the eyes of Hitler you can be an Aryan and have a sickness. Same with Hitler.
mmm not really, in Adolf's little novella he's quite clear about the nature of disease and it's implications on your "blood purity"
Turning into a snake might not be seen as a ‘curse’ by Voldemort
Yes because in order to have a blood curse like maledictis you have to be pure blood
But he's not all that concerned with blood purity - that was mostly Grindelwald, and Voldy used it as an excuse. Voldy was mostly concerned about himself living forever. The blood purity agenda was only a way for him to get more power.
Merope Gaunt: when she visited the Wools Orphanage pregnant, the nuns over there said that she seemed like a misfit or somebody that came from a CIRCUS.
And from the "The Crimes of Grindelwald" who do we know is a part of the circus? Nagini. It is quite possible that Merope and Nagini somehow knew each other and Nagini was in some way sympathetic to Merope after what she had suffered.
It's just a mere possibility within the Potterverse that Nagini made a promise to Merope that once her maledictus curse completely took her over, she would go and seek out Tom Riddle Jr, as, from his Slytherin parentage, he would inherit the power to speak with snakes, just like Morfin, Marvolor or even Merope (whose power didn't really showed until she was free of her father and brother's torture).
So in hopes of finding a companion with whom she could speak her mind as an intellectual and former human, she went and found Voldemort in hopes of having a sane conversation after being stuck in a snakes body via the curse.
Well, that's my two cents on it.
Samarpit Tripathi gang shit
That is such a beautiful theory! I have always thought of Merope as a good and loving mother, if she would have still been alive. So if she and Nagini were friends, Merope maybe was concerned what could happen to her son, if she would noz be able to support him anymore. She was honestly loving the father, so why shouldnt she love her son?
But the second part that Nagini would seek for someone who could speak to her is also great. AND it means that she maybe did not really knew Merope. She maybe just heard of a family able to speak to snakes, so she started to search for them to not be lonely.
Cool theory! I’d love it if we could see some more of Merope in the future. Her story was so interesting and tragic and I think it was a shame that it wasn’t included in the films
@@sophiedamgen7098 Merope was not ''honestly loving Tom's father'', she was RAPING and bewitching him.... WTF? Is this ''love'' to you?
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849
A really messed up way of loving someone. Or just lust I don't know, I don't think she intended to rape him, she wanted him to love her (doesn't make it right obviously, it's still rape, but she probably didn't see it that way). But many people say rape is about power, I don't think it was so much about power in her case.
I think she was in love with Voldemort and if he ever felt something for someone, that would be for her. Of course being a predator she did not see as a wrong thing to kill those who were weak. I want JKR to let me write their "evil and the beast" romance. XD
I do not agree that talking to other snakes was boring. The piton in the zoo that Harry talked to, was lonely and wanted to be free, the serpent knew that Brazil existed as a country and wanted to go there. So Nagini could have lived like a simple snake with others of her kind. She chose Voldemort.
best fly I love this idea but I also read the end as “she could have lived with her own kind and chose Voldemort” like he was a snake 😂
Harry didn’t talk to a python at the zoo in Philosopher’s Stone. He talked to a boa constrictor. Pythons are old world snakes, so they don’t come from Brazil, they come from Asia and Africa. Nagini seems to be a python (at least in the films).
I think she turned to Voldemort because she was so lonely and not only did he understand her but he needed her, and it felt good to feel wanted and not have to hide in hopes: the world is a scary place when you’re a noodle with a head and know muggles would want to turn you into a trophy.
I’m so sad for Nagini
I believe Nagini joined Tom Riddle for the simplest reason; someone to talk to. If you where trapped on a desert island for years with no one and Riddle showed up, i think everyone can agree they would get close to him. Then she possibly bonded with him and was resentful of whatever happened to Credence. My guess is that he was killed by Grindewald. The books say Riddle was extremely manipulative. He manipulated this poor woman just like Charles Manson did to his “followers” or Hitler did to his.
She started to believe in what he was saying. She had lost everything and Riddle gave her what she needed, a friend. I think riddle trusted her most of all cuz he knew she could never speak to anyone else. She could not betray him and by the point Harry Potter faced her, she was brainwashed and believed what she was doing was right. By the time Neville killed her, she was so far gone. It had been 40 years maybe since we took snake form. She killed Snape like it was nothing because she was brainwashed for decades by a man she originally met who was handsome and charming. By the time Riddle became Voldemort, she was too far gone to change her mind. Voldemort gave her the “love” that Credence had denied when he abandoned her.
Plot Twist: Nagini has been the mastermind behind Voldemort the whole time. Pulling his strings like a puppet. She demanded that she become a Horcrux and have part of his soul. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. ... The question only is 'What pushed her over the edge?'
Everyone always assumes that Nagini is serving 'the Dark lord'. But he refers to the snake as 'my friend' ... There is something to that.
Younger Tom Riddle resembles Credence a lot doesnt he
Lust for power and magic, orphanage, lonely and somehow lost, obsessed with his family story to value himself (slytherin)
Optical features, immense power and they both killed in young ages
Something probably happens to Credence, so I don't think Nagini cared about becoming human again. I think Voldemort promised her Credence alive rather than her humanity and made a deal.
The incredible thing about Nagini it was that she is the first character appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie, they wanted to believe that she is a very important one.
I think she felt alone and when she understood Voldemort, she didn’t feel alone anymore
I was wondering, if turning into a werewolf or a rat time after time, would those men loose the ability to turn back?
I like the theory that she just grew more and more angry and resentment the years and years of being trapped in a snake or her mind being tainted by that piece of his soul in her
Having someone she could talk to is a powerful attraction.. the last thread of her humanity/sanity? but we'l soon see hopefully..
I love this topic. Thank you for the video. I strongly belive that Tom Riddle knew Nagini from his teenage years. Not as a child because he wouldn`t be so amazed by knowing about magic when Dumbledore came to Wool`s if Nagini already told him. There is some strong bond between them and not because she`s a horcrux. At first place he must deeply trust her to make her horcrux because I think he knew that he couldn`t be able 100% control her and she, at the other hand she would be able know him to the core. Now, look at Credence, there are some major similarities with Tom: both orphans, rised by muggles, outcasts, unloved, without friends, obsessed with knowing their identity, Credence even looks like Tom from the books. Now, I don`t think that it is a coincidence that the story goes from 1926 to 1945, Tom and Credence have similarities, and there`s Nagini around that. What would be the point of her character if Tom won`t come to the stage in future FB ? Back to why she joined him: very possible that something bad happend to Credence and she blame Albus for that, maybe she even thinks that Tom is in danger because of Albus. PS. This bond between her and Tom makes him more human. I`m intrigued by her because there must be something very special about her to make that cold blooded wizard to care about her (besides, I sense that mother-son relationship).
It was a perfect match. Voldemort preferred snakes in someways I believe, so to find a snake with human consciousness was probably a great find for him. Nagini was a snake with a human conscious and was so so lonely, and to find somebody with her intelligence level that could actually understand her must have been so fantastic for her. Who knows how many years of loneliness she went through. Who knows her fragile mental state living the life she was living. Voldemort was like a lifesaver and after what she had lived through it didn’t matter is he was good or evil. He was all she had. Of course she was going to be unconditionally loyal to him no matter what.

@@mom2chris1mike2 Lol yeah, I had to read it over a few times.
I think voldemort could have found a way to cure her if he really wanted
Nagini was a beauty that Bellatrix would be super jealous that Tom is paying attention more to Nagini than her haha
Voldemort probably told her many flattering things, how she was beautiful as a snake. Kind of like Magneto with mutants he wants to get close to, and use them.
I watch these new uploads every night. Keep up the good work!
After finding out nagini's true identity I thought she had always been in love with the wrong and troubled men, and credence was troubled, went to the wrong side and still nagini loved him. I thought Tom Riddle was a charming, beautiful man and she made the same mistake again.
Nagini knew her name, cause how else would Voldy know hers. So
1. she knew who she was in snake form, and in her right mind or
2. Voldemort knew her, when she was human.
It's just a fictional theory but I think during the time she first met voldemort. She was completely charmed by him. He must have made her believe that his cause was just and good. Her loneliness is probably another factor. Because after becoming a snake permanently. She felt so alone and isolated. It might be possible that she might of fell in love with Tom riddle because he's the only person she could connect with so in order to keep that relationship going she completely devotes her life to being voldemort's most close companion. Also when you fall in love with the wrong person it blinds you into doing their evil bidding.
My feelings is that she was a snake for so long that when she met Voldemort he could talk to her and she just lived it and stayed is my thoughts
5:26 : It's even worse considering that Voldemort offer his victim to Nagini for dinner... Cannibalism.
Great vids man needed this answering for a while 👏
Nagini was probably lonely and missed being human. All those years with the only creatures who probably understood her were snakes. Then someone comes along and says that if she helps him, he'll be a human companion to her. A human who could understand her at last! Someone who could give her human food which she probably missed. Someone who could restore a bit of her humanity. Plus, Voldemort was very persuasive and the ministry until Shacklebolt wasn't very inclusive.
I've always wanted a pet snake. I'd probably get a milk snake or a green snake. But if I got a python, I would name them Monty.
Great video. Keep em coming. Can never have enough Harry Potter folklore.
Okay so Nagini is arguably the closest thing to a real person that Voldemort actually cares about besides himself, why didn’t he transform her back into her human form.
From the way Voldemort interacts with Nagini in such a loving manner that he *never* does with anyone else makes me feel like they're almost romantically involved in a way which would make sense since deep down she's still a human woman therefore still attracted to men but in her snake form that's kind of out of the question until Voldemort comes along and she has someone to talk to and she fell for his charms and his power and in his own way he fell for her. Once she became a horcrux they bonded even more because now I assume she was feeling his emotions and seeing into his mind just like Harry. I like to think of their relationship as a really messed up love story maybe like the Joker and Harley Quinn's relationship.
@@Chankonabebot nah I don't think it's gone that far. I hope.. I just sense something romantic there. Or at least caring
I wonder if him turning her into a horcrux is what changed his appearance to be more snake like
@@forestgrump4723 I believe that's because he used her venom to create his new body. Although it's possible her horcrux status along with her venom being in his blood made them so close body and mind it made him take on her properties and enhanced his snake like appearance.
so are you saying, since Voldy made her a horcrux, and they are supposedly romantically involved, Voldy can have sex with himself? envious
I think whatever affection he shows her is really aimed towards the horcrux. The point is that he is incapable of loving anyone but himself, if even that. If she has much of her humanity still in her, I'd say she has very complicated feelings towards her situation and her lord. The only other person she could really connect with would be Harry. A person who is very capable of loving, and she would sense it.
Imagine Harry having lucid dreams with her giving him visions of her life and herself as a human. Maybe some deep level affection would spark towards this sad, young woman in his dreams. Dumbledore suspects this and tries to stop it, since he knows what love does. Voldy thinks she's just corrupting Harry, because he doesn't understand love. Nagini could see his most inner feelings, come to love him and eventually turn on her master. When they finally meet she inevitable has to die. She knows this and emotionally hurts him to make him hate her and do it for the greater good. He almost does kill her but can't go through with it. Neville does his sword thing, thinking he's saving his friend's life, and after that Harry goes to die in the forest with her sacrifice being the final push. She could even come out of the stone. Ah yes, a classic tale. Love winning over Death would be less abstract in this story (but it would take away from Snape's heroism I guess). My teenage self would have adored something like that. A bit tropy but a good writer could make it work.
Nagini joins voldemort because he's the first person she's able to converse with in a long time. Voldemort, learning she used to be a human, uses his charisma so sway her over to his side with promises (I personally dont believe he cared)and then, like you said, when he turned her into a horcrux, his soul corrupted her and she became subservient to him.
Do a “What did voldemort look like when he killed Lily and James?”
He looked basically the same as he looked when he was resurrected
Charlie nope bc in ep 4 voldemort was in an ENTIRE NEW body
iBlaze But he still kinda looked the same look it up

I always imagine the Philosopher's Stone version to be what Voldemort looked like before he was reserrected. He was already far removed from the handsome Tom Riddle by that point.
I love your videos so much.
Thanks a lot for uploading more frequently :)
I'm just impressed that her clothes can transform into snake skin.
Voldemort is one of the only people who can literally understand and talk to Nagin, so it's not weird tp me if she joined him for that reason alone.
Second. 😂 but good subject. Can’t wait to read the discussions. I honestly thought she must have been so lonely.
Another great video Dean!!
quick question if snape did have the elder wands loyality , wouldnt control over it have gone to nagini as it was her who killed snape and not voldemort?
Nagini turned into a human and disguised as a old woman when harry and hermione returned to his real home!
I think there is a lot more to the blood curse than is currently revealed. Something like the final form of the curse permanently corrupts its host. Or simply, her being a horcrux for so long has warped her mind.
I love Nagini, one of the reason i watch the movies and read the books. She's a very important character.
Another great video love your channel
Nagini:Voldemort,let me be a Horcrux....
Voldemort:Ok,and what else?
Nagini:I'll be your adorable, cute pet snake and kill or hurt at your command!
Voldemort:You got me at being "adorable, cute pet snake"!
I really liked your story for Nagini, it was very well written, and I've also imagined that such a tragic story would fit her best and how she might have ended up with Voldemort. I'd just add a bit of Stockholm Syndrome on her part so that everything she did for him she did out of a sense of love which was never reciprocated anywhere but in her mind and also with him being the only person (that she knew of) who still could understand and speak with her. Perhaps she'd even be jaelous and/or feel a certain animosity towards Bellatrix who did have the Dark Lords love? Just a thought...
I accept the theory Nagini felt lonely and joined Voldemort because he understood her.
But I think its fitting Nagini was just a random snake Voldemort found in the jungles of Borneo or somewhere. Voldemort could have left the snake in the jungle.
I mean, nobody would expect one of your horcruxes being hided in a jungle at the other side of the world.
Voldemort : So, you were a woman, but your family curse kicked in and you've been stuck as a giant, magical snake with a mind full of bad memories and no one to talk to?
Nagini : Yeah
Voldemort : That's so tragic. Say, how do you feel about following me around and eating people at my command?
Nagini : ... yeah, I'd do that for a bit.
I have only read the books does nagini come in the movies?
Fun Fact: Nagini's blood status is classed as
Underbeing.
What does that mean?!?
@@bestfly8558 means she likes to be on the bottom

Oh I see...
Here's a thought: maybe Nagini only assented to the Horcrux procedure, and/or Voldemort only decided on it, when it became obvious that he couldn't transform her back after all. It may have been the only way she could "gain" any sort of humanity again, and the best way he could make use of her service, a la "making lemonade out of lemons."
It's not a perfect theory, but it does occur to me . . .
Nagini joins Voldemort because someone randomly decided that she would be a human for fan service in The Crimes of Grindelwald, and then plot armor for no reason.
I can't quite get my head round after reading the books and watching the hp movies. I'd end up having the hots for nagini years later 🤯
Great video Dean. If I try and put myself in Nagini’s position, I’d be glad of Voldemort’s company. Something to live for, so to speak. Like you pointed out, years by yourself with no compatible intellect mind to converse with. Then a Parsletongue comes along. It’s refreshing to have someone to converse with. And decades of not having anyone to intelligently communicate with is enough to drive most people insane.
I love this channel!!
I think its coz they could communicate well.. Also maybe coz..since nagini was now with voldy..it insured her security..and by becoming his horcrux she was somehow invincible to almost anyone who would try to hurt her..besides all that..nagini had very high status and rank with voldy..she outranked all of voldys followers ..even Bellatrix came after nagini..she is the only being that voldy cares about..so maybe nagini appreciated the attention and freedom that came with voldy..if she was on the good side..maybe if she was Harry's snake..she would spend her whole life feeding on chicken and other animals maybe goats..but with voldy she eats whatever she wants including human.. Nagini.. Dinner!!!
Yay early! I really love your videos!
I dont think she was promised human form she knew how powerful blood curse is.... i think nagini was just lonly like any human then after a long time meeting someone in the woods who can speak to her.. becouse with them i dont get the master-servent persona but a friend-friend, voldi realy trusted nagini far more then anyone else
I think voldemort held her so close beacuse she showed him the horcrux spell
I believe that Nagini meet Voldemort after he left Hogwarts as she will change into a snake during the events of the fifth movie and their meet while Voldemort was working.

Interesting theory, super smart to tell (lie to ?) Nagini he has THE cure/spell/etc to turn her back into human form. However, Im surprised that I dont hear you about the Imperius curse. What if she's simply under his mind control. First he seduces her in parseltongue making her feel loved and wanted (as you said there are few who can speak the language) and that when turns fully snake and thus being completely vunerable (she trusts Voldemort amd cant defend herself cause she doesnt have a wand and even if she had a wand, in snake form she cant hold it so maybe its simply the Imperius curse.
One thing (maybe I misunderstood) you said turning her into a horcrux made her a slave suggests that Harry (The unintended horcrux) would be his slave too, which he isnt but maybe I just misunderstood your point
ANYWAYS, another brilliant video, cant wait for your next Wizarding theory
I do applaud you on your theory on the possibility of simply telling her he has the cure, she's desperate and does everything for her
Nagini is absolutely going to be offered sanctuary at Hogwarts. By the time Tom attends, she's already trapped as a snake. Toms the first person who can speak to her. I'd hazard she shows him the chamber. Wasn't Newt a professor at Hogwarts? OG care of magical creatures? Newt will introduce Tom to Nagini. 🦅
I love Harry Potter thank you for the great videos you do ❤️

I just figured this out i-
Since apparently it's Cannon, I wonder if Nagini got jealous when Voldemort gave Bellatrix a little of the old in-out in-out.
Hahahahahhahahaha wtff
Probably she did. And Voldemort told her it was only sex. XD
Probably not. If the fake Bagshot was any indication, Nagini's human form is old. Nagini would be roughly the same age as Voldemort's mother. Also, Nagini took care of him like a mother would an infant. I doubt they were lovers.
Considering I can never see Bellatrix Lestrange without seeing Helena Bonham Carter, it would never be "just sex".
It will never be cannon.
The question is, when she finally becomes a permanent snake, does she retain her human mind, or is it lost?
My opinion is that everyone is over-analyzing Nagini.
I think Nagini only wanted to help people. She joined Voldemort in "Goblet of Fire" because he was in a wretched condition, weak and in need, and she couldn't resist helping someone in need. Nagini had a weakness for broken, helpless people because she was like that herself. She was abused, she was an outcast, she couldn't stop the blood curse that turned her into a snake, and that caused her a lot of emotional pain and made her sympathise with other outcasts who were helpless and in pain, like Credence and Voldemort.
For Nagini, Credence and Voldemort were much the same from that angle. It didn't matter to her that Voldemort wasn't a good person - he was broken and in need, which was all she cared about, so she rescued him.
After Voldemort turned Nagini into a Horcrux at the beginning of Goblet of Fire and put part of his soul inside her, she stopped being herself, lost her free will, everything that made her the character she was in "Crimes of Grindelwald", and she became only an extension of Voldemort.
Definitely something interesting to think about!
What happened with nagini when Voldemort had his down fall
Simple answer
Voldemort : I will return ur human form if you offer me a lifetime service after I am immortal I will return you to your human form
Nagini: ok I want to get back at that old fool Dumbledore for killing Credence .
Nagini offers a lifetime service and get killed by Neville and voldemort gets killed by Harry
You should do a video on magic Voldemort wasn’t able to perform!!
from which episode is 0:43
I have a feeling we’re going to see Dumbledore kill the person she loves and the only person who saw her as a person other than a malidictus or like you said something happens ministry wise to push her to far, maybe it’s something out of Dumbledore’s hand but she blames him. Something is going to have to make her change how she views the world make her hateful. It also is said they are not destined to be evil. If you watch the movie, when we see her originally turn you can tell there are some differences in her she’s more yellow, the colors around her and lighting is bright, she does lunge but towards the man keeping her captive, she looks almost harmless, versus in the HP movies she’s greener, when she’s around the tones are always grey and black, the lighting is darkened, and she looks like a force to be reckoned with, something is going to change her attitude and view of the world.
My guest is the Nagini hates her blood curse, she hates all witches and wizards who don't understand her suffering, knowing that her blood was tainted: Just like Voldemort's blood is tainted by his father's muggle blood. I do think it played a crucial role into linking her to Voldemort.
He was spitting that snake-game at her.
Voldemort was known as a very charming person who could be very convincing. Nagini was lonely in her snake body. So Voldemort was the only one she could talk to, since he is a passelongue. That bounded them. The fact that she murdered for him was not due to her character, but was due to the effect of horcrucs in her. Just like it had effect on Ron when he was wearing the necklace and she got it in her.
Movie flame needs to do this 👌🏼✌🏻
Call me crazy, but I think the snake Harry freed in Philosopher's stone. because Voldemort would have known this and not used her to attack him. I also think Nagini found out that Harry was a parselmouth. Nagini could have dodged the confringo curse but instead tried to take it, meaning she either knew it would reflect and hit the death eaters or it could have ended her and her suffering. Like I said, call me crazy, but I tink it is possible
I knew that Naga are snake like mythical creatures of Indonesian..and I know that JK always put in clues in the HP books. I also know that JK had left things out from draft papers, to alternative writing etc. I've even said that JK got bored of HP starting in book 5...or maybe her publicized wouldn't allow her to get really dark. I also know that JK was very knowledgeable about Latin..and about myths/lures etc..I know that Nagini was supposed to play a role in the original HP books.. but her story was left on the "cutting room floor" so to speak. I wish we could see all her transcripts.
She stayed with Voldemort in the first place, because he was able to communicate with her is what I think.
Also all the other stuff you said... psychology... Pissed off with the world etc.
Only surprise will possibly be, how she turns into a snake permanently.
I also hope the authors won't be lazy and do the "werewolf scenario"!
Nice vid
I have a few theories.
1:(as lots of peeps in the comments have said)
Nagini was incredibly lonely so when Voldemort waltz in she was finally able to communicate. Of course, why would have this kind woman have assisted the Dark Lord even under those circumstances? Well, there's a very good chance she couldn't understand human language anymore. Which would correlate what Dumbledore said, since Voldemort would be able to manipulate her.
Now here's a question, did Nagini forget what her past form was? I think it's unlikely as well, she would've just been a normal snake then. Why specifically her, did Voldemort choose?
2nd, we know Voldemort likes rare items as trophies right? So if Nagini was just a normal snake..... likely the idea of a cursed snake appealed greatly to Lord Voldemort.
My belief is that after she had locked into snake form, the madness within took over as she now had to live as a snake, yet a glimmer of hope shown itself when Voldemort found her and was able to not only speak with her, but also understand her..... Beyond that I can't say much else as why she stayed with and sided with him.... It's even possible he had her under an imperious curse to do his bidding though.... Perhaps not something she wanted to do, but she had no control over it
The only flaw I see is Nagini also knew Albus Dumbledore. The Greatest wizard who ever existed.
maybe since he put a piece of his soul into Nagini, they were bonded as one. Or maybe he cared about Nagini so much just for that reason, that he put his soul in the snake....
Every time I picture this lady trapped in the body of a snake, I recall how queen Elinor from the movie Brave turned into a bear and lost her human consciousness... I don't know, snakes are not particularly expressive but Nagini doesn't look specially smart in the Harry Potter saga, the way Voldemort protects her in the last book makes you think of protecting a pet, not a smart rational creature... 🤔
The fact that she is still talking to him, shows she is still smarter than the average snake. Snakes dont really have a brain with thinkingcapacity like mammals. They have only a brainstem, just filled with instincts and an operation system that controles the muscles, but there is no thinking as we see it. Understanding Toms full sentences with grammatical conunctions, would be way to much to ask from a snake. Any snake…. my biggest issue with parsletongue in general
In my headcanon, a maledictus is a spell wearing off rather than a proper curse. Wizards get around. We have part giants, goblins, house elves, and vampires as canon. You have to figure that lonely wizards would occasionally transfigure some other creature into a woman. The woman would be fully human and would have the mind of a human drawing an analogy to when a human is transfigured into an animal and has an animal's mind. When the person is transfigured back, the human mind is restored.
If she gives birth to a daughter, the original spell is the only thing keeping that daughter from being her mother's original species. Spells wear off... While it wouldn't be terrible if it wore off on the mother, let's say Nagini was three to four generations removed from the original snake. She's fully human but learns that she will become a snake because her great, great grandmother was originally a snake.
I think Nagini joined Voldemort because, just like the wearwolves, he promised her food so she joined him
Nah
@@MrDante1047 Yeah I know my comment was made over a year ago so I don't rea;;y know what I was talking about
I have always really loved Nagini, and it was in my top three things I was most anxiously awaiting in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. That we would learn more about her, and her backstory . I’m so saddened that we’ll never know now, that they have decided not to pursue that part of the franchise anymore...... well hopefully they will change their minds one day,,,,, fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Before I watch my first thought is maybe the change isn't just physical but also mental making the curse even more wicked changing her personality against her will. She can control it at first but eventually it takes over.
