I am 63 yr old just retired. If Frump guts the SS I know myself will end up homeless as well as millions of other people who depend on it. I watched Jim Jones followers argue against anyone who disagreed with his agenda. For the ones who survived, they came back educated and heartbroken.

Outstanding interview with the Senator and Ruth (Ruth Ben Ghiat, author of Strongmen: Mussolini to the present). Ruth made some excellent points about the fact that voters are experiencing authoritarian information warfare. This is a very frightening time to be an American. Even half-dead, Biden would be a better president than Trump could be, especially if he were in excellent health. Each of us has demonstrated this through a term as President of the United States. In addition, Biden was able to choose an excellent team, which was not the case with Trump.
Biden has been a decent president (despite many believing justifiably that he is a war criminal and a genocide enabler), but he has been a horrible candidate. That is what the argument is about. Not how he well he would do the job. How well he would do in the election is the key part. And for people who don't watch the news and will only see clips (usually swing voters which is the most important percentile), Joe Biden looks like a weak candidate at best and a puppet at worst.

The USA has 9 unelected authorities who regulate the registration of elected officials without input from the public.

This lack of accountability is reminiscent of the Dred Scott verdict from the Civil War era. Currently, a similar situation is occurring with the Supreme Court, where a suspected treasonous action of a failed coup is being whitewashed, and the judges' actions cannot be questioned by the public.
The people have no say in the judges' elections or their rulings, and they are not allowed to recall judges or question their integrity through confirmation votes.
There is a call to hold the Supreme Court accountable and potentially shut it down until reformation is conducted, with state Supreme Courts taking on the workload.
For instance, the current representation of the 9 justices from 13 jurisdictions leaves 4 judges missing for proper representation as the population has grown. This has allowed for injustices rooted in racism and a lack of proper representation.
Therefore, there is a call for reformation to ensure proper representation.
