Thanks for the useful info! You looked like my age and you already had multiple Finance internship experiences, and really makes me feel like falling behind. I'm already a senior majoring in Economics and still never had an internship experience.
Without an internship there is almost no chance unless you have elite connections. But don’t worry about it too much. IB really isn’t for everyone and that’s absolutely fine. There are still many awesome careers and opportunities in the financial services sector.
I’m gonna be a junior and I’ve yet to have an internship so I know how you feel. I’d recommend looking into YearUp, you do about 6 months of learning and development and then you’re placed in an internship based on your interests and performance. It is kind of a demanding program but if I’m being real, you only need common sense + discipline to get through it. I’d advise looking into the Investment Operations path, I’ve heard lots of good things about that
Thank you for sharing the information and explaining why the process should be done like that. Fully appreciate your reminding of " Comparison is thief of joy" in the last video comments below.
@@PeterSu Engineering but knowing how to write a good resume is helpful for every industry :). Even outside finance, you give good tips in the format and content of the CV
I just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.
I’m really want to get into Goldmans, I have a referral from a senior associate but I want to make sure my resume stands out. Can we connect so I can get another opinion on how to tweak it?
so im going into UT Mccombs and I work in Insurance sales & working on securities licenses rn. what would you recommend for a chance at working at like BlackRock or JPM
A robust strategy is crucial for any investor's portfolio. When it comes to making high-stakes decisions, the greater the risk, the greater the potential reward, and it's wise to seek guidance from seasoned professionals.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
Hi peter , you have a very interesting channel , i work in private banking in turin for Genarali Bank , can you give some advice to going in investment banking like goldman or jp Morgan ?
I am a fresh graduate from a UK university with absolutely 0 work experience in finance jobs. My grades are average. But I play music, was a teaching assistant and got a scholarship in my first year. Do I have a chance to get an internship from big name bank companies?
Typically the entry points are in uni or after an MBA or Master in Finance. You may want to look into getting a masters in finance from a school that feeds into your target banks.

That does make a lot of sense, unlike us, you seem to have the Market figured out. Who is this coach?
Just research the name Angela Lynn Shilling. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.

You need to do some finance certifications or a good internship

In my personal opinion, that’s discrimination that you have to have a high GPA
Step One: Have your father's friend get you an interview
A grown ass man telling Goldman what he did as a Boy Scout
You lied the resume aint free
Did you see the links? The PDF is free, the word doc is $29.
yea I'm cooked

How were you able to intern at BOTH Blackrock + Deloitte in the SAME summer?
One was full time and another was part time, really good experience back then.
