Bandwidth per satellite is completely capped, so great of remote locations, sure, but any kind of replacement for regular cell / WiFi isn't viable. So where does the money come from?
@@kieranjervis8590 maybe a little technical, I'll try to break it down If one person is solely using a satellite they get 100% of the bandwidth (throughput of data), if 100 people are using it they each get 1% of the bandwidth Once you scale this out to cities of people there's a physical limit of how much bandwidth a satellite has to give. So you will end up with incredibly low upload and download speeds, and worse during peak hours. Therefore, it isn't viable to have this as a product offered in cities / larger towns, which is where most of the money comes from. It is useful for certain use-cases, no doubt, and I'm sure some businesses will be willing to pay big money for the service, but it won't tap into the domestic market. That's all I'm saying
One thing about Elon Musk doing something that’s already been done,, he’s gonna do it a whole lot cheaper,, and that’s the biggest reason NASA doesn’t like him,, because he’s gonna do what they do so much cheaper it’s gonna make them look bad,, they already look bad,,
Apple recreated the PC step by step over the 70s which means in the 80s they had not done anything IBM had not done. Just because SpaceX has not gone farther into space than NASA has yet does not mean anything when SpaceX has already surpassed NASA in engineering.
Lose funding...from where? The dude's the director of the Rose Center for Earth and Space, a part of (and funded by) the American Museum of Natural History. They don't give a damn what his stance on private space corporations are
starlink is insane, getting 50mbps internet in the middle of no where, also being able to reuse the boosters is great.

@harstar12345 this is barely english bro.
Are u asking where spaceX gets the money to launch the satellites?

You make me enjoy space significantly more
Dude from Big bang theory
Neil, what have you done???
SHIT
Neil has an ego!!
Dude sounds worried for nasa
You are just jealous about Elon Musk... Stop it😂
He's jealous he didn't think of everything Elon had in his lifetime, just talk about other people's discoveries.
😂
It was not a spec tickle it was history made please don’t belittle this histrionical achievement
He is right when comes to space exploration, but wrong when comes to technology

He literally says “he hasn’t don’t anything that nasa hasn’t already done” then goes on to correct himeself, by saying that he didn’t say that ….
He kick the ESA, Russia, China to invent reuse rockets.
Never thought of him as dumb until now.
Ndt does nothing.
😂 NASA was closed until Elon😂 this guy don't know s*** his whole life is speculation

The contempt in his eyes. Petty.
Why would he be petty about this?
He sounds jealous 😂
Neil is jealous
Why would he be jealous he literally praises space x in the video
He sounds scared to lose funding
