Jeff Bezos's New Glenn rocket mainly will serve his own constellation plan to rival Starlink. Jeff has plans to put 3k satellites in LEO and he can't be going to SpaceX for all the launches. He also has plans to launch commercial space station and deliver lunar lander to moon's surface.

Falcon has limitations. The fairing size too small for large payload like a Lunar lander or large space station module. New Glenn fairing diameter is 7m vs Falcon 9 5.2m and total volumn is 3x more. That will come in handy for a large payload that currently cannot fit inside Falcon 9.

Let me correct you on a couple of things. No, Blue Origin has never competed with Elon Musk's SpaceX. The New Glenn has a 3.85m lbs of thrust, the Starship has 16.7m lbs of thrust with the block 3 engines the block 4 should add another 10 to 20 %. Like I said there is no competition between Starship and New Glenn. If there is any competition it's between falcon 9 and New Glenn.

The word "failure" doesn't make sense. Any new rocket that's launching for the first time is going to have problems. It's not unheard of for a first launch to be postponed. They found a bug and they'll correct it and schedule another launch. A "failure" would be if the rocket launched, something went wrong and it self-destructed, and they didn't learn anything from it. It can be viewed as a minor setback, but if Blue Origin finds the problem(s) and correct it/them, then the setback becomes a new date and the opportunity to secure a successful launch. It' easy to view this launch one bombastic billionaire trying to outdo another, and therefore, any cancellation is viewed as "failure" to produce spectacular fireworks. But if Blue Origin waits a couple weeks, gets the rocket corrected and successfully launched, the company's efforts will have been well worth it. All that having been said, the lack of transparency of these commercial launch providers is a serious concern. That vehicle sitting on the launch pad is paid for, at least in part, by the American taxpayers. Full disclosure of what's going on is long overdue.
Blue Origin really has to change its operations culture from slow, methodical and low risk to fast, iterative and high risk to compete with SpaceX. As it is, they have completely squandered their time from company founding until today with nothing much to show for it while SpaceX built up a dominance in rocket launches and a thriving business in internet satellites. Today Blue Origin has little chance to sniff SpaceX’s level of performance and success.
