Somewhere in time is one of my all-time favorite movies and the movie score is absolutely gorgeous. Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour are fantastic. If you get a chance to watch it you should it really is a good movie.

Every time you go back in time it creates a new timeline, doc brown showed this when biff went back. So, Marty knows the song in his timeline that originally has chuck berry write it, goes back to before he wrote it in the new one and THAT chuck berry got the idea from Marty this creating a similar timeline. SG-1 had a mirror with a dial to tune into similar mirrors in other possible timelines. The coordinates of the dial closest to us look very identical. The further you go, the more apocalyptic it gets. So Marty creating a new timeline would have its own Marty unless that Marty also went time travelling. See FUTURE MAN series. I think season 7 of Agents of shield had them romping back and forth in time but were able to return to original timeline only by shrinking to the quantum realm. Which is Ant-Man's method in The Avengers films. Have I left anything out? Lol

This is called a paradox....and if thus scenario happens the universe as we know it gets completely ripped apart and implodes....you can't go back in time...sorry.

Wish we had part 4, Time was trying to correct itself- hench the events of part 2, Marty crashed, was miserable x2 for setting up his parents with a better life... his parents were meant to be miserable. Same with the events of part 3 and still Doc took what he wanted- Time was never fixed- thats why Doc was fleeing, he knew time was going to fix itself by correcting / making Doc's horrible. Time Twin pines mall... became lone pine mall.
