    O.K. G Man... took the X8 out and used the TX10 for the first time. WOW! Spectacular! The screen is unbelievable, and you were absolutely right on about the range. Twice as far as the original controller! Can't say enough good things about it!!

    what you think about the videoquality of this drone compared to your new mini 3? great vids as allways 👍

      Did you do my test? It starts here.. and shows 4 videos. remember.. video & photography quality is very subjective... but I was surprised...ruclips.net/video/p_qmV7CTn9s/видео.html

      Sami- Overall I think the Mini 3 is over rated. It has an OK camera but it is so restricted. It basically just takes pictures and videos and you have no real options to work with. As with all the other companies have so many options to choose from.

    Still flying them Fimi's! I am waiting for the TX10 and a 2022 V2. Do I need it with a Mavic 3 & RC Pro? No sir. But I need to see the value Fimi put in thar TX10 for 25% of what RC Pro costs, and I miss my X8SE. I don't think the 1/2" Sony Quad Bayer will show up the Autel Lite+, but Autels "controller" won't last more than 3 batteries and no Smart Controller available. They could take a page from Fimi or even my Mini 3 pro. Flying with a phone in 2023 seems lame, unless your on a super tight budget. Thanks for the review.

      I cannot say much bad about the TX10

      @GorillamansGarage Indeed, I am impressed with what others have said about it. In fact, other than non-functional controls (intended for the Separate RX10 hardware module), the lack of a dedicated lanyard mount (there's a whoops on Fimi's part), the as yet unavailable 4800 "spare" 2nd battery, it is an absolute killer price of gear for $300.

    So you like the controller now that you worked out the bugs. Do you think if I were to buy the controller now all the bugs would be fixed? Thanks for the video.

      Just to clear up any confusion... I have always liked this controller. The bugs had nothing to do with it's usability or purpose. For the money I think it is amazing compared to what DJI & Autel are offering. Fimi has dropped the ball in the TX10 development, but still it is really good for what it is intended. My "Honey Do" list was a "Hail Mary" shout out to Fimi to take a look at "refining" some aspects of the controller. It is hopeful that after the Spring Festival.. Fimi will have some good news for us. But yes the Fimi TX10 Controller... 👍👍👍

    Well, I took my Fimi x8 se 2022 out for a fly today. Happy with a lot of things but unhappy with a big thing. Controlled great, flew great, video outstanding, BUT, very disappointed with the range, which is the biggest reason I purchased this drone. It would get out to about 6,000 ft. and without warning, just disconnect. The range indicator was full bars and all white, and the next thing I know I'm disconnected. Weather was decent. A little windy but nothing the drone couldn't handle. Temperature in low 40s F. Tried flying it twice in different directions and the same result. I live in a very rural area, mostly farmland so interference shouldn't be a problem. Just received my TX controller today after I flew, so keeping my fingers crossed that it will improve range. For reference, I've flown my DJI mini se over 10,000 ft. before losing connectivity in the same area, so all I can do is hope for better with the new controller!

      2km on the original controller is not bad but yea it can fluctuate. You do have it set to "No Limit" correct? I had the same issue with one of my X8SE models. But it was purely random. I found that the X8SE frequency is very sensitive to some radio waves and in one area I could only get about 1km and in others (that seemed the same) I could get 4km. I do think the TX10 offers more range (for me) but as you point out.. every manufacturer is different and it is totally dependent on geographical region and whats floating in the air. Where I am.. 2km would be very impressive.. and I am in the country, rural as can be as well. Thanks.. let us know what happens.

      @@GorillamansGarage I certainly will and thanks for the reply! Looking forward to trying out the TX 10 possibly Wednesday or Thursday as the weather is going to be bad the next couple of days. Yes, I do have it set to "no limit". The confusing part for me is how the status bar didn't even drop to yellow, like I've seen on so many other videos. Solid white to disconnect. Weird.

      Just wanted to say that I had similar issue with range with 2020 model but... A big but because for some reason with its regular controller I got it out 7 kilometers with no issue..
      There are multiple reasons at play that cause less range at the same area but when everything including weather and the clearest conditions is how I got that range and I was going to part with it until that happened and iam convinced that everything including weather and light and time of day play a crucial part in its transmission..

    I have a question I saw another youtube video of a person flying his fimi x8 se v2 and it has a floating home point on the screen do you see that when ur flying your drone or is that some new update.

    • @GorillamansGarage
      @GorillamansGarage  Год назад

      Yes... one of my last videos shows that. The update last month added the yellow floating home point.

    How would you compare this to the hubsan mini at the present?

    • @GorillamansGarage
      @GorillamansGarage  Год назад

      There are many Hubsan Mini drones.. But the actual Hubsan Mini (black arms) should be a run away success but it has issues and it is over 250g. The X8SE is by far.. hands down.. 100%.. the best budget drone of 2022 for the money.
