I really like the Potensic Atom drones. Very stable flying. And I agree with you 💯 on the camera quality. But overall it's a great drone. I have the Potensic Atom SE Drone and so far have enjoyed it absolutely 💯. A fantastic video 💯👍. Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video and God bless you and your family always 🙏. Have a great weekend
Atom SE does not have 3-axis gimbal. Extreme tilted horizons every time you turn.. unless you fly in a straight line directly with or against a light breeze on a nice day. Upgrade to the Atom with 3-axis gimbal for around a hundred bucks more.. no comparison for video footage.
Depends on expectations for monies spent and what your time is worth. As a basic video drone it is very acceptable. It has very simplified (however restrictive) flight modes . But if you only want to point and shoot in fare weather and good lighting.. it is one of the better choices. I can hardly wait for their next version.. this one has been out for about a year and a half already.
I own one and I love it, it's not as good as my Mini 4 pro but for being about a third of the price it's fantastic and it can do so much. I recently acquired the Fimi which I think may be as good as this if not a little bit better specs wise, but I still enjoy flying it the camera is not too bad, but if I want to take video or images for someone or to keep I will use either the Mini 4 pro or the Air 3S and as you say; it does take it to be good clear weather to get the best from the small sensor. I'm takin on what you said about the build, I think the Potensic is a very strong drone, I've no fear of crashing it I think it will survive as well as any other drone. Really enjoy your videos keep it up.
1st brought the Potensic atom for recreational purposes, then to Fimi mini 3, like both in different situations, atom is definitely more stable hovering below 5m, enjoyed video, thought review was in depth and informative, 👍
Great review. I bought the Specta and the potensic se. Haven't got them. BIG problem with Specta is gittin batteries. Thumbs up and subbed. Dandahermit. They just killed that big threat on the drone ban. Halleuja
I got my potensic Atom 3 axis gimbal over a year ago I haven't looked back.. however I've had bad experiences in the rain and in the fog do not fly in the rain
I have flown this one in the rain twice now with no issues. I have flown this one in -12C with no issues.. It is a good drone but has very limited functionality above imagery & video (like most DJI drones). It needs a better camera and much better Waypoint Planner and open up the restricted flight modes.
@GorillamansGarage that may be true maybe you didn't have any issues these are not waterproof they're not water resistant.. one drop on the GPS board or on the other boards the thing will go out of control
@@globaldeception7414 : I think they are more resistant than you think. I've picked them out of the lake.. I've had them crash in the snow.. I've had them lost overnight in the snow & rain... -- But I agree... @GorillamansGarage Also guess where the electronic Compass is.... If your facing your drone the compass is on the left hand side of that dark black frontal part.. and it collects water and if the rain is hard enough it passes through the front part onto the compass.
Interesting video as always. I have the Potensic Atom with 3 Axis Gimbal and like it overall for the money. Don't really use all the features very often, but it's a good, stable Mini Drone that takes nice video on a decent day. I have a couple of superior drones that I spent more money on, but frequently take out this fairly inexpensive drone for some fun outings. Potensic should increase the size of its 1/3" camera as you say on its next model.
@@esoxenvy3112 I think a year ago it would have been a great little drone.. but I think their introduction of the LT was a mistake rather than updating the flagship.
Wow did this come out just in time. I've been arguing with Potensic for the last two weeks about how weak their main frame is built. Especially where the pin goes through the frame to hold the arms. First time I crashed mine after three days, I clipped a tree branch and it fell about 6 feet onto grass. The main frame was broke where both rear arms are pinned to the frame. The pin holes broke in half. Potensic will not sell a new frame. DJI will sell the mini 2 frame. If you compare the Potensic frame to the DJI frame you will see the arm pin areas are made much stronger and robust on the DJI. Long story short, I won't be buying another Potensic because of my horrible experience with their customer support. Not only do they not know the product, or at least the person I was talking to didn't, It is like they try to wear you down without supporting their products. 2 weeks of daily back and forth... it was ridiculous...
@@GorillamansGarage It's all good, live and learn... Potensic just doesn't have the durability nor support of parts I'm looking for. There's a lot of other choices :)
General question: For these types of drones with modular batteries...after flying and running down battery, if you aren't going to fly for several months, do you charge the batteries back up to 50-60% storage level or do you store the batteies without charging back up to storage level? What about the controller? Thanks!
Most newer batteries are so called... intelligent. I have had drones for many years... Usually I do not worry about storage modes etc... I charge them up and leave them... But after several months I do go back and check on them... But as I have said in some videos.. I may not touch them for 6-8-12 months. I left the Anafi for over a year.. the Mavic Mini for over 8 months once.. but I usually charge them up before putting them away or at least make sure they have over 60% charge left on them. It may not be what most consider the right way... but it works for me. I guess its like winterizing a motorcycle... there are many, many schools of thought on that subject as well.
@@GorillamansGarage I always heard that if you charge batteries fully that they have to be used within a short time period...I guess I am just wondering if you run down batteries and don't charge them back up to storage level but leave them run down what will happen if they sit that way for several months?
