That Terra forming machine doesn't work properly. It's sucking up tons of debris, some of which clearly ways hundreds of pounds, but it won't pull hard enough to stop Lois Lane from falling to the Earth. Superman flies away with her, but the force is strong on him that he screams to get some strength, any you can even see it pulling on his face...yet Lois Lane is not even phased by it. :/
Fh Hanna Yeah it could be for a reason deliberately, and that will work to show why it might be affecting him like it does. But doesn't explain why it's sucking up tons of vehicles and debris, yet this light girl can just fall. Right? or am I missing something else? :)

Inertia. It's easier to pick something up from rest than to reverse the direction of something already falling.
