Man that's a nice sounding engine and a nice looking roadster, but that electronic dash with that oversized iPad in the middle takes all of the soul out of it. A beautiful stack of analog gauges and knobs for most functions would make this a dream.

Can't help noticing how the center screen is so hard to see in direct sunlight! Maybe it's just the camera. You'd think a roadster would have a more elegant way to handle this. The light reflecting on that big screen seems cheap as hell. Why in the world place a giant screen in a cabriolet car where the sun is blaring every time you drive? Counter intuitive if you ask me. For a 200k car they could`ve added at least some physical controls to it to make it usable. Now if it`s summer time, sun is shining and my right side hookah wants to change the music radio or whatever, we won`t be able to. Classic MB cost cutting. Fyi: one stupid screen is cheaper than 10-20 aluminum controls, so yeah, they do it this way because of cost cutting, not because of trends, freacking idiots.

Imo the car looks good but nowhere near as good as the previous one did. The best part about exterior design is the paint job on this unit. On the inside - way too much digitalization, the best looking features are the speakers on the doors, vents and the stalks. When it comes to the exhaust, I'm sorry, but it's just a boring note at this point. Overall, fits perfectly as a car I would like to daily drive when retired and would never have the willpower to drop the bag on it with other options available, kinda like the LC 500 (which to be fair is way more appealing than this SL). It's just my take on the car only though, great watch nonetheless!
