  • Just an idea on laser etching here in the SNAPMAKER 2.0 w/ LUBAN. You can literally laser engrave ANY picture to the surface of your choice.(take into consideration the warnings and guidelines of suitable materials as stated in the manual provided by SNAPMAKER.

"Well, what I just showed you was obviously wrong, so let's just grab one I did correctly before and I'm sure you'll figure it out like I did..." Thanks, Thumb.

I'm here for you all. Any time. I mean that. And, hey, if you catch me doing something backwards I'm totally open minded.

    Couple things:
Thanks for the video, I found it helpful as SM/Luban sure don't explain photos at all
Your black image is not black, zoom in. the issue there is that it's showing the tool paths as well as the picture
    Last:
I now have Luban 4.0. There is no dot density anymore (or at least not that I can see). You have any idea where that setting is? I found in the older version that maxing this out to 10 gave me the best results

@@thumbhobby1390 sounds good. Ya my laser head hasn't been used in about 6 months. I have been mostly 3D printing and stopped using luban for that a long time ago

Is there a specific setting needed to generate?

You'll just have go over the settings once you load a picture to get the shade and tone you want.

Have you played with any other software yet, I recently got my A350 started with cnc figured out I probably want to use some more bits so I have them ordered, switched over to the laser and the letter engraving is nice and simple. I am looking for a community of people discussing the technical ins and outs.
