A permanent Glass would be good then automated blinds. To avoid any water leaks.

The thing is when it works the automated glass is gsr superior.
In my Audi you can just barely pop it up about 2 inches, roll down the side windows and a nice breeze comes in from the side across your face and body then put the top, fixed glass doesn't do this.
My Audi has like 3 different positions for the glass, it's great especially the one mentioned or opening it fully back to keep the car cool.
Saves on AC which saves gas.

Never go for aftermarket sunroof, it'll damage the structural integrity of your car, which means, if you happen to be in an accident, car body will get damaged badly and severe injury will be there.

Bullshit. As long as you install one that doesn't require cutting into the rails you're fine. The sheet metal that covers the roof holds no structural support. This install was pretty whacky tho. They should have cut and fit the frame properly instead of laying it ontop of the old sheet metal
The only way this would even matter is if you roll your car, so how about just not doing that?

Recently, while traveling on a road trip to texas with my wife we blew a tire after hitting something. I couldn't even react if I wanted too, we were suddenly in the ditch. It happens. I definitely know where you're coming from and driving carefully has ALWAYS been my number one. I have been a professional driver for Amazon and a operator of fleet trucks and box trucks for Mr Rooter for a few years. You just don't always have 100% control of your car or the road. The truck that passed us may have dropped a small piece of scrap metal as far as the officers could make sense of.

Looks good, could of gone about it in a differant way in my opinion, Possibly remove the roof panel via the factory welds then send the car to the paint shop for prepair and paint, then return the car to your workshop for final fitment of the sunroof and then present to the customer. 👍

better to install the complete skin by drilling out factory welds.Much cleaner job and better structurally.Also no bondo issues as theres no weld joint to cover up
Well some vehicles don't have a sun roof, I know my 2000 silverado 2 door doesn't have and nor can I get a 2 door that has one, I'm planning to do something similar

I was dating a girl with a Geo Tracker. A really small jeep with big open top. Around 10 pm one night she had me run out to get some more popcorn. And told me to take her Geo. I got in and about half a mile down the road I felt something grabbing on my left shoe. Then it grabbed my legs. In a panic and as fast a motion as I could I grabbed a handful of it and slung it out the top as fast as I could. I knew it was here cat when I saw the outline of the legs and tail sticking straight out. I did not go back to look for it because I knew it could not have survived me throwing it that high in the air. I never told her the truth about her cat because.....well, because I didn't want to.

It wasn't even bondo. It was silicone sealant that they used. I'm still in shock that a shop would let this work be done. I would fire my installers. Absolute crap.

Car manufacturers should integrate the metal-pressing structural reinforcement of panel-vans into the roof of cars. Sun-roof within Moon-roof for the front and sun-roof for the rear. Also integrate sliding roof rail mount (many variable points due to slider) for turret-gun children and monkey-stairs children

full weld beads warp the skin too much but he definitely should have fiberglassed it before that finish
