Scott remains a national treasure. His talent for making great videos remains unparalleled. Thank you, Scott, for putting your creative ideas on video for which we are all extremely grateful. Stay safe and be well.
In 1968 my boyfriend and I 'experienced' "the Night of the Living Dead" at the local Drive-In. Even though it was low-budget, the movie was like nothing we had seen before and broke so many of 'the rules'. We were outside, at night, with the car windows open - scared to death. Good times!
I really do love this classic movie. It's a great movie to watch with the upcoming Halloween season. It certainly set a new standard for horror films. Especially zombie ones. Very cool to see the actual locations that you ate showing. I've never been here but would love to visit.
I'm from Pittsburgh and I lived in Evans City for 10 years. Night Of The Living Dead is my favorite movie along with Dawn Of The Dead. I was so sad to hear about Marilyn's passing. I wish I knew you guys were coming out here because I really enjoy your videos. I have a Karen Cooper tattoo on my right calf that Kyra got her picture taken with. My friend Christian made the George Romero bust. Having been on the roof of the mall a few times,I can tell you it's so surreal. So happy you and Jordan got to experience all of this. Tell him I said hello. Thank you for making this video. I love it!! Stay scared!! 🧟♂️
I lived about 10 miles away while George was filming NOTLD and Evans City was really rural then- the local rumor was that there was a nudist camp nearby and some of the nudists were extras! Monroeville Mall was my mall- happy to see it hasn’t become a “dead mall” !Evans City was still farm country then. Pittsburgh loves and misses George Romero, our hometown boy !
so nice of him to mention that you must be a big fan even though i'm sure so so so many people repeat that line to him...shows the kind of heart Russ has
This movie effected me profoundly as a kid! I don't think I've seen it since 1973 when I was 10!!! Not just the zombies but how sad it was at the end. I was so optimistic for the hero!!! This thing ended like an Alfred Hitchcock thriller!
I knew George, he originally was from NY. He attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh and during his stay met the likes of John Russo and Rudy Ricci (my high school chums) which lead to a collaboration that spawned his famous zombie movies.
This is fanfuckingtastic, Mr. Scott. Well done, my friend, well done. You really deserve more recognition for your outstanding contributions to the "old" movie world. Thank you.
I grew up in Pittsburgh and when I was in college I got to become friends with Tom Savini. That movie among a few others are the reason I wanted to become a film maker. A few of my friends were in the remake directed by Tom Savini. Awesome Video. Glad Jordan was with you too!
LOL, thanks for making me laugh.... Jordon with his head on the stone.... your a big kid Scott (so is Jordan), but I think you more so. Loved it. The Chapel is so cute, I hope they can raise the money to fix it properly one day, they certainly look after the cemetery. So nice to see. Monroeville looks like a really nice and pretty town. Thanks for sharing this one. Cheers
I remember when I was in Elementary school I sold enough candy to be able to get to watch The night of the living dead for the first time in the gymnasium. 😁 btw I'm 58 now lol
I've always wanted to meet Russ Streiner, but have yet to get the chance. Kyra Schon shows up regularly to the Cinema Wasteland convention in my area. I was fortunate enough to meet John Russo a few years back, and he is a delightful man. He was absolutely tickled that I knew who the Tarman was from Return of the Living Dead, and I was explaining to my Hubby who Russo was. One of the photos he autographed for me was him crouching next to one of the cannisters from Return, and he wrote "Amanda, don't you dare open this!", then the other photo was of the Tarman and he wrote "See, I warned you!"
I was just at the Monroeville mall last Thursday! I went through the Living Dead museum and I wanted to stop at the cemetery on the way back home to Michigan but had done 5 towns in 5 days between Pennsylvania and New Jersey & just wanted to go home!
So Sad to hear about Ms. Eastman's passing. As a huge Night of the living dead fan growing up in the 70's Ms Eastman was so nice to respond to my fan letter a few years back and autographed a picture from the movie of her I sent her and was so nice with writing me a short note on the index card complementing me for being a fan. So sad to lose such a sweet thoughtful lady from one of the top horror movies of all time.
I was with a friend who stated;" Don't kill them in the water fountain...you'll ruion your water supply!" OHoooo kay....Talk about getting into a movie. Duh😁 Thank you for the video Scott. You're a true legend.💖
What happened to the Woman that walks behind the Chapel at 6:30? They aren't there when you walk around... Spooky! OH I guess they were the caretaker you talked with lol.
SUCH A🍿🍿 CLASSIC CULT MOVIE , RIP MARYILYN EASTMAN 🙏🥀💔, i seen this movie at a the drive in when i was a kid with my parents lol , GREAT VLOG SCOTT , STAY WELL BESAFE , THEY'RE COMING TO GET YOU BARBARA HAHAA. , NEVER SEEN DAWN OF THE DEAD ,
Such a cool video. You did such a fantastic job. Night of the Living Dead scared the crap out of me when I was young. I haven't seen it for quite a while. I'm going to look for it now. I've been catching up on Walking dead lately. Everything is zombies lately.
awesome vlog showing us Evan City - Night of Living Dead movie location LOL you guys got right into it re-enacting scenes so funny, my favourite classic 👍🏻
My favorite story about Night of the LIving Dead comes from Tales From The Tour Bus by Mike Judge. The band Funkadelic takes a short-cut driving to a gig that put them on a closed road of the set, high on LSD.
Scott, your my number one favorite, in RUclips and in general and so is N.O.T.D and all George Romero movies, I’m so happy you did this video, I have a signed picture, from the first zombie, Bill Hinzman. Good Story behind this but just wanted to thank so much for doing this video!
The matching scenes were really funny. Should do more of that. Okkkk probably not appropriate in most cases but ..... Couldn't watch this in 68 because i was only 8 but I remember watching it when I was 14 and it terrified me. lol
Marilyn and Harrdin were from my neighborhood. I have some Kyra products too. I've been to cemetery many times. The "chapel", really a storage shed, was recently restored. The actors are a cool bunch, I have a signed script. Anyway, the chapel was going to be torn down and a grass routes effort by the Streiners saved it. Funny, when your in the cemetery I actually yelled stop and turn right. Also Bill Cardille who was an actual newsman amongst many others things daughter was the female lead in Dawn. Also...not Zombie, ghoul. The never said zombie. The shop used to be in Evans City, Kevin, the owner also rescued and restores the puppets from Rudolph, later sold them and years later they resold for big bucks. Ok..I'm done.
JOLLY GOOD WAY TO HAVE A LAUGH!! RE-ENACTING . MR.SCOTT MICHAELS. I FIND YOUR INVESTIGATION MOST INTERESTING. ! " THRILLER" COMES TO MIND . THE LIVING HAVE A FASCINATION FOR THE DEAD . FROM, THE UNITED KINGDOM. (2024).

I was lucky enough to visit this cemetery a few years ago. So strange being in a place that you’ve seen so many times on TV and the big screen
so nice of him to mention that you must be a big fan even though i'm sure so so so many people repeat that line to him...shows the kind of heart Russ has

Same for me. I had so much anxiety and was overwhelmed but I kept watching movies like this. Take care.
I knew George, he originally was from NY. He attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh and during his stay met the likes of John Russo and Rudy Ricci (my high school chums) which lead to a collaboration that spawned his famous zombie movies.
I’m
From Pittsburgh monroeville mall is 20 mins from me! Welcome to Pittsburgh home of all things zombie! So glad you both came here!

This is fanfuckingtastic, Mr. Scott. Well done, my friend, well done. You really deserve more recognition for your outstanding contributions to the "old" movie world.
Thank you.
Met George Romero years ago.
Man....THAT GUY COULD TALK!!! Nicest guy you would EVER want to meet.

I started hs in 68. When I saw the 🎥 to this day I WILL NOT EVER go into a cemetery at nite. Thanks to the movie 🌹💖
"Yeah, they're dead. They're all messed up."
Best movie quote ever!
I love how they celebrate the movie at the mall
LOL I caught the Lauren Bacall "mmmmm I love it" ha classic. Scott, this is on my bucket list for this year. So happy you made this video!
You and Jordan goofing around was hilarious ! Great Vlog Scott and I can't wait to see more.

Dude, I’ve been wanting to go there for years ! Excellent job !
Hey, you were in my neck of the woods there in monroeville. Hope you had a good trip!
I love this video, you were only an hour south of me!!!
Any place that rhymes with Transylvania is creepy. Case in point.
Wouldn't it be cool to get permission on Halloween to set up a big screen in the cemetery where the original was filmed, and watch the movie there?
This was amazing.
RIP
Films like this scare the living daylights out of me ! Great ! X
Awesome.
