- Adani Groups is in the news AGAIN- for all the wrong reasons.
After the Hindenburg fiasco accusing them of share price manipulation, defrauding the Indian public & corruption- leading to a SEBI investigation under the Supreme Court.
Just when Adani started doing damage control, another report came out- this time from a group called OCCRP- a global network of investigative journalists who uncover organised crime and corruption.
And they confirmed some new allegations against Adani that were previously mere speculations.

However, You missed two major points:
1. They are not only benefited by tariff hike. They are also embezzling and transferring investor’s money to UAE and finally investing in Adani stocks as their own money.
2. They can reduce Income Tax by additional depreciation charged on the equipments. Total tax evasion will be atleast 21% of the total equipment cost capitalised.
They are not going to rock the boat so much

Once Adani stock price goes...they mortgage their stock in banks. Adani fails to pay later and Government comes in merges banks and wipes out the losses.

Most Indian business operates in same modus operandi. As an power sector professional I can give plenty of this type of example of this type of quid pro quo game. For example lets take Sanjiv Goenka run CESC(Which distributes electricity in Kolkata and adjoining area). CESC is buying power from Sanjeev Goenka's group company like HEL(Haldia energy Limited) and Captive generation of Philips Carbon, although there is cheaper power available in market. They have made this buying arrangement with their group company on long term basis although there is clear guidelines by ministry of power way back in 2003-04 for procurement of wholesale power in completive bidding route. Mysteriously West Bengal state electricity regulatory commission allowed this type of quid pro quo game among group companies and recover the inflated cost from consumers. It is well known that Sanjiv Goenka have good terms with present ruling supremo Mamata Banerjee and he have bought useless painting of Mamata Banerjee with 10 cr. He have also provided huge amount of election Fund to TMC. Congress MP Navin Jindal Company JITPL also operates in different kind of quid pro quo game. The list is endless in Power sector. I think Adani is being singled out due to their close proximity with Modi.

Also read the comments above again, nowhere I have claimed the Adani is not corrupt. My only contention is that most of the businessman are doing same type of dirty game. Only Adani is getting highlighted due to his deshi style like Harshad Mehta. In 1992 bear gang were also doing hochpoching with the system but as they're doing it in more sophisticated way they were gone away with the scams and Harshad Mehta caught as he was meddling in his deshi style.
Adani inflates the stock price by taking huge loans by pledging shares to govt banks, and again reinvest the money in adanishares to inflate the price. Also he owns more than 75% of the company through various investment firms outside India which owns substantial amount of the group.
Even SEBI has become a lapdog like others

It's interesting but when did Adani become equal to India? He's just one more businessman, why is his name being linked to a whole country?
Adani's representative played this card in his speech and all other andh bhakts followed it. I'm sure no one would have this thought before the Adani representative mentioned it in his speech. There is something called "creating distraction" in the art of war. This is what all keep on playing when they want to hide something, or crush the rising "rebels" in old days, and it's still going on.

Wait let me get this correct. A Private company imports an equipment through its other company in UAE at higher cost hence paying more on duties and uses the same for providing electricity to public through the government. All this without any specific contract or bid.. all because this group is a private group.. okay.. funny investigation i think without any specific reason.

First of all OCCRP itself is targeted attack on an indian firm who is trying to buy europian greece port. Some countries do not want this to happen.. So*rs has openly been targetting Indian govt and about this If money was sent out with some way and it comes back to the indian share market whats your loss? There are thousands of stocks where share prices are going 100 to 200% every now and then 😂😂 karo expose.. nahin aap toh top investigation officer ho ho aapko sab pata hai😂

Thanks for informative video. undoubtedly if the capital cost is inflated the tariff for power would be higher. What was the difference between the tariff approved for ADANI power and other coal based plants around that time. was it significantly different from other coal based power plant. If it happened, what was the reaction of CERC which i believe fixes the tariff

Based on My personal experience of 10 years working in 4 different vertical of Businesses: There's no way you can run a Pure Clean Business in India. Considering the fact it's an Intense country to live and cut throat competition to survive, even if you want to do something good for the society, you'll have to do some notorious stuff under the system first.
Okay having said that, Adani is not a Scammer, I am 100% positive and remain invested in Adani.
