@@xXJaystarXx ah, I see. I may have a reason as to why they're choosing pronouns instead of gender, but it's just a theory. See, though someone may be, for example, a boy, the person may like being referred to as 'she' or 'they' even though they are a boy. Therefore, using pronouns instead of gender gives more inclusivity and makes the game seem more alive or realistic for some people.
The Sims has always played a really big role in my life, ever since I was small and playing on console. Much like Rachael I used it to explore my identity with self sims however the pronoun issue was immersion breaking to put it very lightly.

I don’t personally think pronouns are necessary but I’ll make the best of it. It’s mostly ok except the they them pronouns as that’s not proper English when referring to yourself.
Well we do use they and them pronouns for singular individuals. Think about in a conversation; your friend says "I've started talking to this person at work and I think we could be friends in the future!" Your response might be "That's great! *They* sound really cool." Or "Someone lost *their* phone I hope I can return it to *them*" It is proper English it just might be new to you to use they and them for a person repeatedly
I use She/Her pronouns as well as They/Them and I know some people that use several different combinations as well. Are you going to make it to where you can have several different preferred pronouns at once? If you do, can you also make it to where the game selects witch one to use randomly, that way it uses all of them?

I'd just prefer if they made the pronouns less visibly obtrusive in live mode. If I understand , we'll be able to see pronouns when hovering over sims or their icons when playing the game. I have bad eyesight and a lot of sims with long names, and it is already a difficult for me to visually scan for the sim I want to select.
I assume pronouns will be integrated into gameplay through opportunity cards and pop-ups. Maybe it would be better to just include them in the sim profile and there could be an interaction to learn the pronouns of any npc sim?

Simple for you, maybe, but not for others. If you don't go by they/them pronouns you probably won't even think about the lack of inclusion but people who *do* go by they/them pronouns definitely notice, and feel excluded
So play the previous games then if it’s all too difficult for you
It’s so unnecessary
I agree 100%. Things get complicated just because a vocal minority wants to feel special and "included." Why does everyone have to be subjected to this crap?

Can you add pet grooming for Sims 4 cats and dogs? And barbers to the game? I came up with a lot of ideas and things that I liked from other games.
The linguistic aspect of the pronoun discussion was very interesting.
this whole pronouns thing is so strange. for the whole life my pronouns were I/me, how could it be otherwise?
Assuming you mean I/me/my. I think I is hard to refer to here. It looks like I refer to Vidde when I actually mean Jade, me thinks I is being somewhat confusing with my pronouns? Does that actually work for people around you?
Also did I get that right? Would not want to missgender, and have never met someone with those pronouns before
do other people call you "me"? well tha'ts unusual
If only the game worked properly on PS5.
