@@RosaPantera Check out the bass arpeggios in “lucky” track 1 during the solo. She runs through a pure Lydian scale maj7#11 which is every bit as good as Monk Montgomery. The energy here, the rawness the beauty - was just fucking unstoppable.
Nah, I think this album is the perfect length. This year is, according to the Chinese lunar calendar, the Year Of The Short Album. It's true! In a worldwide musical climate where artists like the Migos, Post Malone, Kamelot, Lil Yachty, Playboi Carti, 5SOS, Ariana Grande, Drake, and whoever else think they're interesting enough to make 20-song albums, I'm glad that we have artists like Lucie,Too, The Weeknd, Kanye (and everyone else who he produced an album for/with), Nine Inch Nails, Watain, Superorganism, Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs, Wednesday Campanella, Suchmos, The Carters, BTS, etc all dropping like 8-song albums. And that's no shade, I like a few of those albums, like I heavy fuck with the Post Malone and Drake albums, but there's no denying that they really *don't* do much different throughout their tracklists. I think keeping it short and sweet is better. Quality over quantity will never really fade from proverbial history. That doesn't mean there isn't quantity + quality tho, but it's only when there really is both. Haru Nemuri's new album has 23 tracks on it, and it's probably one of the top 5 best albums of the year. Some artists just aren't that dynamic tho. I would much rather Lucie,Too have dropped this 20-minute album of fantastic music than an hour and a half album of snoozers. Sorry kind of went on a tangent there, but like... TL;DR, would much rather a small album of great songs than a long album of mostly filler in a world where the Migos think they're dynamic enough to drop a 23-song album.
I get everything you are saying and I totally agree, all I was saying is I wish the last track in general, Ripurei, was a bit longer cause I like that song so much.
Oh for sure, I just think albums this short are a blessing during a year when so many albums with huge potential end up being too long for their own good.
Also "Ripurei" is "Replay" lol. "Doramachikku" is "Dramatic" as well, idk why they're romanized instead of just translated to what they actually are haha
These guys had all the power of The Jam on opening night with “A Town Called Malice” in LA in 1979. The original drummer and the Bassist need to regroup with the lead singer and re-form this group. They will end up being like the band called Fanny that Bowie and Earl Slick could never put back together. This guitarist is also highly underrated. See track 3 solo which is primitive, but melodic and beautiful evocative of the late Nokie Edwards. Please please bring back this beautiful chrysanthemum supergroup from the gardens of Kyoto “sleeping on the matted ground”⚡️⚡️
1.- Lucky - 0:00
2.- Kimi ni koi - 1:37
3.- Siesta - 5:09

5.- Maboroshi no koibito - 11:18
6.- May - 14:34
7.- Ripurei - 17:41
