If anyone out there really wants a samshield but can't afford to drop $700 CAD on a helmet, check out One K! I really wanted a Sammy (everyone at my barn had one blah blah blah...) but I couldn't afford such a high price tag. One K's are very similar, have a removable liner that can be washed, ventilated, and I think they're even made in the same factory 😊 I got mine for about $300 CAD

one ks are made in the same factory as samshield and are just as "safe", just an fyi for anyone looking for a cheaper helmet!

Just thought I'd make a mention for gatehouse hats! They're my ultimate fav- super stylish in all sorts of matts, colours and diamanté but not quite as pricey as samshields (which don't get me wrong are totally gorgeous 😂)!

I have a Charles Owen helmet for shows and honestly I don't like it very much. It makes my head get super hot, because I don't think there is any ventilation. Plus, all helmets always looks GIGANTIC on my head. Its a real struggle lol.
Love this because I'm going helmet shopping tomorrow because my helmet broke so I will definitely look into this!

If you’re in Canada and want a Samshield but don’t want to spend $700, order it from the UK! Got mine for less than $400, including shipping and the exchange rate! They’re wayyy cheaper over there!

I promise I'm not trying to be rude but the Charles owen thing is not true you should buy the one that fits your and it will just mould to your head . This is just for anyone who was looking to buy a Charles owen

Yes I didn't mean to drive people away from Charles Owen, they are great helmets I just know that they do mould a lot more to your head.
i bought a charles owen from a charles owen representative that knew how to properly fit a helmet and after 6 months of using it, it got too big for my head because the foam went down because i rode everyday in it which became unsafe. I now have had my samshield for 2 years and fits perfectly! charles owen only fits a certain head shape while samshields fit all head shapes
Could you do an informative video on how to smoothly post at the trot? I have a problem with thrusting my torso up when I rise. My instructor is kind of.. a little less informative and I asked her a question before and she told me to just let her do her job. So.. could you help?
Try focusing on pushing up your hips and opening up your hips. Also, keep in mind you don't need to totally stand up when you post. Just do a nice soft push with your hips. Another tip, you could try grabbing mane when you post so you'll keep your hands down which should keep your torso down.

Yea of course! Don't scrunch up and pinch at your knees what will close up your hips. If you grip with your knees and not your lower leg it'll close up your hips and make you scrunch up.

They did a helmet safety test here in Sweden and rated them 1 to 5. Samshield rated 1, least safe.
For anyone who wants a samsheild but can’t afford lol then go to equiport.com they get their helmets for less because they are based in Europe and oh my Word I got my miss shield for $400 American and you can get a regular Sam shield for about $300 Best deal ever I highly recommend I got mine because it’s the best helmet to fit my head and the visor is so pretty
all I can afford is a$50 troxel helmet haha.

These are so expensive that they should offer insurance so you can afford to replace it when the riders fall. Just frustrated that I could work so hard to get one and then only enjoy it for a few mo.

samshield missshields are about $560-$600 x totally worth the money!
a bit of a late reponse, but it honestly depends on where you buy it. you can find a regular miss shield for 350 euros (370 US dollars) in most shops in Europe, however i've heard they cost more in the US. the fancier ones go up to 1200 euros i think :))

Oh man I just looked up these helmets and the most expensive Samshield helmet is $1,350 ...!!! It looks exactly the same as the $400 one, which is already so so much to spend on one apparel item for showing D:

That visor is really ugly btw, totally not worth an extra 60 bucks. And stop being stupid, just because samshield is $300 and a Charles owen is like $100 doesn't mean that it is safer, they ALL have to comply with the regulations in your country so they are the same, just watch Daria's video on brands, she has a troxel helmet and says she likes it better because it's inexpensive but just as good as a Charles Owen or samshield and brands don't and shouldn't matter
