- Getting the right fit on your riding helmet can be tough, but making sure that you have the proper fit is very important for your safety. Luckily for you, Julien Lecomte, the President of Samshield America, is here to show you exactly how to measure and get the proper fit for your Samshield Helmet.
Once you've got the right size, it's time to choose which helmet you want! Head on over to SmartPak.com ( www.smartpakequine.com/search... ), check out our sizing chart, and find the right one for you! You can also buy spare liners, so your helmet stays nice and fresh!

Emily A- Parker-I thought it was very interesting how he said to go with the smaller size if a person is in between sizes since the lining will form to the head and eventually loosen up and not be as tight.

Are you sure there isn't a fitting difference with your hair up or down?
Hi Ruby Lynch, thanks for your question! Each rider is different so it’s difficult to say exactly how a ponytail will affect the fit of your helmet. For many riders, helmet fit will not change dramatically with your hair up or down, and the comfortable padded liner in the Samshield Helmets does a great job of conforming to your head shape however you wear your hair. If you have thick hair that you wear both up and down, you may be able to purchase a helmet liner in the next size up to give yourself a bit more space for an up-do, depending on your helmet size.
