Lucille Ball deserved her flowers after everything she went through in the industry and her life. Without her, there would be no I Love Lucy or Star Trek today. One person you definitely need to research is Carole Lombard - she also was an actress and was one of Lucille Ball’s best friends.

Thank You so much for all of the details of her life you covered as well as the video clips and images!!! BEST WISHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People forget just how attractive Lucy was. They only remember I Love Lucy when she was 40 years old and dressed like a 1950s housewife! I have some of her early movies and Lucy was a knockout, a former Zeigfield Girl! While I can't speak for her singing voice, Lucy was also an excellent Dancer, while on the show they got laughs saying she had 2 left feet. And, even though she had competition from Phyllis Diller and others, no woman was ever funnier than Lucy!
I read Lucy’s autobiography years ago, and I think she lied a lot when she was younger. If I recall correctly, she told people she grew up in Idaho because she thought it was more exciting. Not sure if I’m remembering the correct state. But anyway, this was self professed. She reminds me of my Grandmother in that way. My Grandmother was a fun lady, young at heart, and she would tell whoppers of stories to her children just to entertain them. Anyway, that makes me question whether Lucy was actually descended from witches because it sounds exactly like the kind of story she would tell to feel more interesting.

03:24 Many of her old-time vaudeville schtick wound up in "I Love Lucy" years later. Like this swagger entrance found its way into an episode where she played "Sally Sweet, the Queen of Delancy Street."

My mother resembled Lucille Ball, so much.. I remember in 70’s watching my mother laughing this show that she enjoyed to watch. My could pass for white, but never denied her Blackness. My mother passed in 1980. When Lucille passed away in 1987, it really hurt to hear of her death on tv. I was turning 15 a freshman in High school. L O V E
One of the greatest comedy legends of all time. I Love Lucy set the standard for sit coms. Please do a breakdown for Desi Arnez. He was a brilliant tv director.
I grew up watching I love Lucy with my mom. She could make me laugh with just an expression on her face. She always did the opposite of what she was told and it got her in trouble every time. The show truly was funny . Have you checked out Katherine Hepburn?
Lucy was 28 or so she claims and Dezi was 23 but might have been younger when they met on a movie they were doing together. They had brought Dezi out from NYC were he had performed the part on Broadway

THANK YOU FOR LUCILLE BALL'S BREAKDOWN--- LOVED IT!!! Both she and Vivian Vance were beautiful! As a matter of fact, Carole Lombard, departed 3rd wife of Clark Gable gave Lucy advice not to do a scene with anyone prettier than herself. Hence the reason why Vivian was told to keep extra weight on herself and not to were much makeup. Lucy and Vivian became friends and that changed on The Lucy Show.
Big misunderstanding - the role of Vivian Vance was Ethel Mertz married to Wm Frawley - he was 22 years older and Vance was supposed to be his wife - not his daughter. That was the role. Lucy was not jealous of her but The Fabulous Four (my name for Lucy Desi Vivian and Frawley - were great together. If Vivian were to glam up would have thrown the characterizations off. Also, they were supposed to be different generations and less economically well off. On The Lucy Show - no such restrictions Vivian played a divorced woman and Lucy played a widow. Vance could wear anything she wanted, be any weight, etc
This was so interesting...such a different side of her and her husband WOW!! I Love Lucy was actually a really funny show and I loved it, even though it was wayyyy before my time.
Love your vibe and content, chill and well-made. @2:12 Are you certain that is Lucille Ball? I’m blown away by how different she looks…….. thank you for keeping glamour alive…….
NO,... LUCY AND DESI HAD MANY BEAUTIFUL YEARS TOGETHER B4 HE DID ALL THAT AND IT CRUSHED THE MARRIAGE. MY PARENTS WERE DEAR FRIENDS OF THEIRS DURING THOSE GOOD YEARS. AND THEY LIVED NEXTDOOR TO US IN SHERWOOD FOREST AND THEY BUILT THEIR HOUSE IN PALM SPRINGS NEXTDOOR TO OURS THERE TOO. MY AUNTIE LU. LOVE HER SO. ALWAYS WILL!!
I may have already posted this but when my children, now adults (my youngest turned 30 years old today) were young, my family including husband and my 70 year old father would watch I Love Lucy on Nick at Night. 3 generations rolling on the floor laughing at Lucy. Good, clean, wholesome fun. As an adult I began to appreciate Lucy's beauty and as a young woman I was like "Damn, Desi is fine!"
Castor oil is amazing for skin. My kids and I use it. It helps with dry skin and it’s helping with my babies eczema. I wouldn’t use lemon long term on my skin though, too acidic
I live in Lucy's home town. My husband's grandmother was her next door neighbor and school chum. I asked her about Lucy and she said " She had entirely too many boyfriends." 😂 When my dad was a kid his neighbor was Lucy's aunt. He was a boy Scout and had to sell Easter candy. He went to Lucy's aunt to ask if she'd buy some. Lucy answered the door, bought the whole basket and then gave it back to my dad for his 5 brothers and sisters. She was so kind.
My own mother reminded me of a cross between Lucille Ball and Cher, if you can even picture that. This was a lovely documentary of Lucy's life and career. ❤️ Edit : Lucy & Desi were a real love story for the ages. Opposites attracted, oil and water, but also moth to a flame for each other. It's been said by more than one Hollywood source who knew them, that [sic] if they're weren't trying to kill each other in the living room, they were trying to in the bedroom.
Oh my God, I always say my mom was a cross between Lucille Ball and Doris Day. The stories I could tell! LOL! I could tell one if anyone wants to hear it, it's so funny! Well?
Wow. Awesome video, as usual. I grew up loving Lucy. I hate to see she had such a tumultuous life. I remember her life with Desi Arnez being abusive. My mom spoke of it a few times. My heart goes out to her children. I'm sure it was hard for them to grieve such an iconic mom. My prayers for their comfort ❤

Yaaass! Lucille Ball ❤🔥.
Idc what she's done before stardom, she is iconic, beautiful lady
I was such a huge fan of her and her show. There will never be another show like her's
Can we get a Dionne Warwick video. She a underrated legend
She was so talented and gorgeous! She is one of my favorite actresses of all times.
I loved watching I Love Lucy growing up !❤️❤️❤️
03:24 Many of her old-time vaudeville schtick wound up in "I Love Lucy" years later. Like this swagger entrance found its way into an episode where she played "Sally Sweet, the Queen of Delancy Street."
I am impressed by the array of pictures you found of her.
I have been around a long time and I have read and watched biographies of Lucille, but I have never seen many of the photos you showed.
Such a treat!!
Thank you - really nice presentation🤗
Yayyyyy🎉Your honestly the Best Karine!! you don’t know how much you make my day when you upload your videos..I literally look forward to your videos every other day cuz I know every break down you do I will love!!!

Great research, thank you for posting! One correction: Ball was not 19 when she met Arnaz.
I've loved Lucy since I was a kid ! SO glad you covered Lucille Ball.
😢Amazing physical comedian and. Comedian Time never duplicated.
Desi was a kept boy…..you learn new things every day
I love "I Love Lucy"!!!
Young Woman, you really do your research on these celebs and all of your findings -- and your delivery -- is commendable! Thanks 😊!

Beautiful and talented lady. There will never be another Lucy. Thanks for your video. 😊👍
Lucy was a showgirl and model in NYC it was around 1933 before she went to Hollywood. Excellent pictures in your video.
10:25 masonic checkerboard
put together all of these 'facts' and it sounds like she was bloodline to me
@@vickster4474 yeah it does
Lucy was 28 or so she claims and Dezi was 23 but might have been younger when they met on a movie they were doing together. They had brought Dezi out from NYC were he had performed the part on Broadway
i’ve never watched i love lucy but always knew about her! love ur videos karine ❤❤
I PROMISE you... Funnier than ANY show today!😅😂😅😂
ALL actors on her show DESERVED to be there! ALL funny!!!
@@moniettebondu1195 i’ll start watching it! i usually don’t watch shows because of my attention span but i’ve always heard good stuff about i love lucy.
You're gonna love it 💕💯
Do a CAROLE LOMBARD BREAKDOWN TOO PLEASE!
Karine, new to your channel. I love it! Just sending good vibes and compliments. 😊😊
Please cover Bea Arthur and each Golden Girl
Lucy was my the first old Hollywood star I fell in love with. An eternal comedienne and forever trail blazer such a beautiful soul omg ❤❤❤❤
I Love Lucy has definitely gotten me through some hard times 💖💕.
After all this time of knowing about Ms. Lucille Ball I never realized we have the same birthday!! Makes me love her even more.
I brush my teeth everyday with Dr. Bromner's peppermint liquid soap. A little goes a long way.
I love Lucille, and I love watching I Love Lucy.
She was Very talented & beautiful
I never knew she had a haunted past or toxic marriage. How sad
Please can you do Katherine Hepburn, Jane Fonda and her Fonda name?
Edit : Lucy & Desi were a real love story for the ages.
Gray is my fav color and I love taking care of my teeth and feet; everything else but definitely that too. I used to love watching I love Lucy as a kid omg
