IT'S A FAZBEAR CHRISTMAS! - Five Nights at Freddy's Christmas Animation Movie

  • Santa Claus’ Christmas magic is running out, and Christmas day is coming closer than ever! With the help of Freddy Fazbear and his friends, will Santa be able to raise enough Christmas cheer to power his sleigh in time?
Title edit: The video wasn't getting a lot of impressions, so I condensed the title to convey the video's contents more clearly (at the expense of immersion). If the video picks up some views, I'll likely change it back eventually!
    _________________________
If you’re reading this before the video premiere, I’d first like to apologise for the lateness of this upload. My original release date predictions (those being initially Christmas day, then before 2024, then within the first week of 2024) were based on my progress speed while working before Christmas. Since Christmas passed, I have experienced a severe hit to my motivation, which I was initially confident I could push through. However, the harder I worked myself, I pushed myself further into a serious artistic burnout, which impacted both the project and my mental state at the time.
When I released the trailer, my original intentions were to spend Christmas eve and day with my family and friends, before immediately picking back up work on the 26th, leaving me only two break days over the month of work I had already put into the project. As you can certainly tell by now, I ended up needing a fair amount more than those two days, and by the time I resumed work it was already the next year. After a while I realised that since the video was already late, it wasn’t going to be worth rushing it out, and I wanted to take some extra time to make sure the final product was of the quality you should expect from me. Now finally, after weeks of work, the video is here! And it’s already far too late to be remotely relevant!
Maybe just remember to come back next year…
Following this video’s production, I’ve learned an important lesson about self-expectations and, more importantly, work deadlines. Going forward, I will be better for my viewers (and I will release my videos when I promise them!)

I find it refreshing when a fanwork of FNAF actually depicts Freddy and gang as the anthropomorphic cartoon animals they're supposed to be portrayed as in-universe, and doesn't just treat the animatronics and their mascot personas as interchangeable.

edit: sorry everyone still waiting on these - right after this video was finished, i picked up a pretty big commission project, which is taking up a lot of my time! i'll get back on this as soon as i am able to. thanks for your patience and thank you for watching :)

she only has 20ish seconds of screentime, but you can tell a lot of care was put into charlie's scenes.
from the way her audio is in incredibly low quality and muffled, as though henry had recorded these lines himself in his home and sent them to the studio in charge of the animation instead of going with her. because of this and the ending card, you can assume that this was meant to be her surprise christmas present, which just adds to the sweetness of it all.
then there's the ending, which i interpreted as the puppet's face reflecting on the black screen of whatever is playing the tape. i like to think that charlie is seeing her gift again, just to relive some memories. or maybe, because of how absurdly lengthy the process of making a stop motion can be, this was her very first time seeing it. it's all too well thought out, i love it

One thing I like a lot more about it is that it’s clearly not nearly as polished as something like Nightmare Before Christmas. Not only could I imagine this being made in-universe, but I genuinely believe it adds an amazing touch to FNAF’s story. The whole theme of the story is about preserving magic and embracing innocence. Henry always wanted to make people happy first and foremost, and his writing here really reflects that. More poignantly, though, the shot of the puppet at the end implies Charlie might be using the tape as a reminder of her goals, to bring magic and preserve innocence by stuffing the dead children in the suits and protecting them as a leader. And for the both of them, the tape is a reminder for the love they still have for each other, a love that carries them on until the very end…
Oh, and the stop motion, character design, voice acting, music, and dialogue are all great as well! Fantastic Job!!!

This is like my 4th rewatch and my second comment but i wanted to just say all the little details i absolutely adored. May be out of order
Henry being on the credit list for majority of the creative roles and such, and William only being a producer.
The fact chica brought out an entire oven in the middle of the woods seems strange, but also strangely fitting.
Chester's face is adorable, i love looking at him.
Foxy's entire character was such a treat, and the gang sighing and saying "oh foxy" feels like an actual catchphrase the show might have.
"Its not like im busy decorating or anything."
The low frame rate, and then the sudden coin drop on foxy made me laugh.
Foxy's different sized pupils really gives his character design more character than he already has- i think he would've been my favorite character if i had watched this as a kid!
The direct advertising felt so sudden but so very fitting.
All of the audio quality has a slight grit to it, giving it a realistic feel that felt very cozy. Charlie's voice was more gritted, and it gives me a vivid image of her father getting her to say her lines. It makes me almost sad.
The little dings when the gifts are given. Many people are talking about the reference, but it is done so well that it makes perfect sense.
The ending parts of the props being sold made me check the description again to make sure it wasn't actual stop motion.
That was a lot, but this film was made with so much love i couldnt just not talk about it. Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece, and i hope everyone has a Merry Fazbear January :) i'll be celebrating with another cozy 5th watch.

    I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS-
All the tiny little details and references! Foxy peaking out of the hallway door when they introduce him to Santa, like he does in fnaf 1 and all the references to the freddy and friends vhs tapes! The little detail of Charlie's mic being poorer quality than the rest probably because Henry didn't want to have to take her into the studio is so cute- I also love how it's clear Henry does a lot more work when it comes to creative endeavors than William based on the credits alone lol
You've instantly made my year. Thank you.

This is officially one of my favorite FNAF related media I've seen yet!!
Each of the characters are charming, adorable, and represented in such a unique way that never felt off at all! I hope we will see more portrayals of Freddy and his friends outside of the horror concept and more heading towards the wholesome side of Fazbear Entertainment!
The Merry Christmas message to Charlie from Henry made my heart swell in a good way!! It was a long time to see some good finally come from these two after all they've been thru!! ❤
It doesn't matter if this came after Christmas, everything here is beautiful and made with so much love! Thank you for all your hardwork!!

Such a charming film! I love it! I was wondering if Foxy was going to play an antagonistic role based on how the trailer depicted him, but his harmless "giving, not getting" gag was really entertaining. I also love the ending and its reminder that this whole thing is one big commercial after all lol

Alright I watched it and it did not disappoint! It was incredible! I have a feeling this will become a yearly tradition for me to watch, the vibe is spot on, foxy stole the show, and the give gifts give life scene is heartbreaking and so bittersweet with the context BUT NOT AS HEARTBREAKING AS THE ENDING I almost cried at the ‘for Charlotte from dad’ thing at the end. (And I love how during the intro credits you also put in Henry and willaim that’s just a cherry on top) it’s so fun to see a snippet from that world, where nothing scary or strange happens, because there totally could’ve been a Christmas special like that for Freddy’s. (The no longer offer these services disclaimer part also got me laughing out loud.) the fake behind the scenes actually made me question if it was stop motion before I looked in the description, thanks for spreading cheer! And amazing work from the voice actors, music aniamtion and editing, it’s all so wonderful!!

This is a perfect, charming piece. It is making it into my yearly Christmas rotation. The way it evokes every feeling of the classic shorts, that little bit with the illustrations that was straight out of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" came directly for my heart. The way it's clear that in-universe, Henry had his very young daughter record a line for the special is a nice nod to the Charlie Brown and Rankin Bass specials also using real children for child roles. And Foxy is a genuinely funny presence and I love him. I could literally go on forever about the ways I love this, but I'm gonna just list a bunch of my favorite details. Bonnie's whiskers! The tree's eyebrows! Foxy and the flashlight! The expressiveness of the final caroling scene!

This really ties it all up in a neat package in a way where that specific stop motion holiday film vibe was nailed so perfectly! (Even down to having a narrator character telling the story!) I'm gonna make sure to watch this again once the holidays roll around! Incredible work!
Also, while i was expecting some horror. I'm actually super glad this was just a heartwarming film and still, it manages to fit in some lore/game elements with the right amount of subtlety! (Such as Foxy flinching from flashlights, Charlie giving gifts and Henry's message at the end.]
