I did this in the early 1980's. We called it danger jetty back then and it was kind of a right of passage for SE Texas teenagers. You had to do it in nothing but swim trunks though. It really didn't matter if you tried to start out when everything was low and easy because by the time you make itt to the end either the tide or the weather has changed to make it a hairier trip back.
been there done that not that hard well back then it wasn't . Haven't been there for years but all you need are some spike boots or some old golf shoes and the rocks wont be slippery at all. Doubt that any fat out of shape guy will make it to the end lol now that would be dangerous or maybe you con take your kayak to the end?

Hurricane Ike did a very high percentage of damage to the jetty. My question is......WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX IT!??
It was a jetty you could walk out on and now you can't because it's destroyed.
