The Halloween Special: Calling Back the Souls

This video presents a brief account of the Chinese folklore about the underworld of the dead which was influenced by both Taoism, Confucianist ancestor worship, and Buddhism. It also presents a poem by the Tang Dynasty poet Li He 李賀 who was known as the Ghostly Poet. His poem is about the soul gathering rituals and leading the souls to their resting places. Li He's unique poetic style, again, showed a fantastic aspect of the Classical Chinese poetry!
