Hey everyone Rishabh here, just wanted to add some extra comments to the list:
Shoutout to everyone I played during the event, especially the players I played in the semi finals and finals both days, I learnt a lot from them and they were very welcoming people. Definitely try the format out the player base is very welcoming!
Regarding my list I only played 1 Anti-magic arrows because I only had one but I'd consider playing more if I had more on me, the same would go for Cross-sword beetle!

I still need to test that deck a lot more before coming to a conclusion… I think people are giving it too much hype for what the engine offers, but we’ll see :) with more testing my opinion might change

I know its like 47 or so cards but i felt like it works better.
Strategy here is not to rely on magician circle triangle. Focus here is to put the boss cards in the table as soon as possible.
If your first turn they will most likely negate magicians rod.. depending on your hand.. you either go jowgen or minerva.. if you have safe zone always make sure to place it in attack position then activate after your opponent draw to lock them. Solemn judgement negate their normal summon to keep jowgen alive or safe zone to protect it. You can use book of eclipse on your turn to special summon hopefully you have chaos angel then flip jowgen again. You can destroy all special summon including jowgen if you use shadows light. You have extra normal summon so keep it in mind.. if you think you cant protect jowgen in 1-2 turn.. go for minerva and summon muddy dragon.. with muddy dragon you can go into dragoon but cant coz im playing at master duel 😂.. so go dragon knight if you have safe zone or eternal soul at your disposal else go lubellion into mirror jade.. if you manage to have dragon knight chaos angel with safe zone.. its gonna be hard even for kashtira deck to find an out.
Can win vs kashtira and purely.. have a hard time against labyrinth.. add side decks for better results 😂😂😂
Magician of chaos is underrated but once you manage to summon him he is your real dark magician to recycle.. i did not go for link to recycle dark magician magician circle combo because.. summoning chaos angel which is easy with magicians rod -soul servant - mahad. You can recycle dark magician by summoning chaos angel multiple times (you can go for chaos angel 3 and remove chaos archiefiend). With eternal soul and magician circle you can banish 2. With shadows light you can summon minerva and either go barrone or chaos angel. You can do it with diviner as well and send kurikara to make it level 3 light tuner and go barrone or chaos angel. Chaos archfiend is not east to summon coz you need magician soul to summon dark magician and normal summon effect veiler.. but you can board wipe monsters with 4500 attack with this. I was thinking summoner monk to cartesia but theres not much space.. we can add it but we gonna need to add more searchers like small world, top share, triple tactics thrust but its gonna be more bricky like most dm decks 😂

Is this for master duel or TCG :)? I think most of the deck is pretty “safe” in a DM conversation.
I think you definelty need to consider cutting the deck down to 40, seeing engine is critical with DM, you cant put yourself in a situation where you lose to 1 interruption, and it’ll do more with consistency which is key!
But you said you play at a casual level, so all things considered it’s what you find to be the most fun :) don’t let people take that away from you!

@@MatchieYGO its master duel.. i tried 40 but there are cards you must have to compete against kashtira and purely. And yes i did consider being negated.. they always negate magician rod.. and so to counter that i use shadows light to jowgen or minerva to lubellion to mirrorjade/dragoon/dragon knight/caliga/busterblader (i sub cards depending on what i see most in the rank games.. if theres a lot of bystials and dragon links i sub busterblader destroyer.. caliga might be useful too) your end board could be jowgen with safe zone, dragon knight with eternal soul with safe zone, chaos angel with safe zone, if you add genex which i didnt mention earlier it is possible to have chaos angel and jowgen on board add safe zone in the mix.. but your ultimate board is to have eternal soul/dragon knight/chaos angel with safe zone and possible barrone and solemn judgement doesnt happen in 1 turn though.
I felt like even with 40 cards dm does brick no matter what.. 47 with the right cards is not as bricky as it seems plus you have the cards to deal with the meta.. i manage to win against kashtira and purely but labyrinth is tough match up.. have to tweak the deck a bit or you need to have lucky draws 😂😂 epidemic virus is a pain in the ass plus the card advantage is too much to handle..
Removing the ritual cards could be an option and have to move herald arc light and diviner herald out possibly.. but yea i just find magician of chaos handy at times.. and once it summoned re summoning it with eternal soul and magician soul is easy.. you can summon it and synchro into chaos angel and use him later on..
Safe zone counter negates too.. theres a game where i attack a dark monster with mahad.. they tried to impermanence and i popped safe zone for lethal.. i was reserving safe zone for chaos angel summon but saw otk.. its kinda useful to target your opponent monster with safe zone and destroy the spell to destroy their monster too..
safe zone+dragon knight+eternal soul+chaos angel are your key cards then resummon magician of chaos to pop cards, magical circle and reuse magician of chaos and any level 3 to synchro summon another chaos angel.. destroy 1 banish 2.. then can still go dharc ladder to accesscode to pop another 2 or 3.
47 cards spreads out dark magician (the bricks) which indirectly adds to consistency .. tbh dark magician spell cards are bricks as well coz you need some conditions to make them effective 😂 😂😂 just hoping for new support.. magicians rod needs more search engine i think.. small world, top share, illusion of chaos and ability to draw which is inconsistent way to get magicians rod.. soul servant if you have dm, dmg, palladium in grave.. what else.. searching illusion of chaos will get negated too.. call of the grave might help but theres only 2 of that.. sauravis is nice but if you add those cards slows down dm even more.. that is why i just let them negate whatever and just focus on extenders or short but
