15:21. I’m glad somebody else sees the potential of TDM’s. My DM deck is a hybrid using Dogmatika, Diabellstar, and Restage engines in it and TDM’s does such a good job of tying all of them together. Anytime I’ve activated a Power spell with TDM’s on the field. It was just such a great feeling. Should new DM support come out, I honestly wouldn’t be against the idea of making TDM’s easier/less costly to summon.
Normally I’d disagree, but I’ve been loving the utility TDM’s offers, especially in combination with a card liek cartiesia It’s saucy indeed! Thanks for the support my friend! Much love

Great video as always Matchie! If I had 1 recommendation for preparation for YCS, I would subscribe and watch Yacine's videos. A lot of the trends you saw at this YCS were predicted by Yacine because he stays up to date on tournaments and cards that enhance the meta like Murcharmy and the Azaminas. Good luck next time though!

Since we will get a new blue eyes structure deck in february of 2025, I really hope for a DM structure deck aswell in the near future. It's right up my alley in terms of nostalgia and it's cool to see that you dedicate your videos pretty much to playing only DM.

I’m 4 mins in and like I get it, but like it’s so discouraging that Dark Magician needs like custom 5 card hands like you’re Atem willpowering every card to your hand AND winning dice roll It’s just so much has to go right and every single card in your hand has to crawl through the mud and put in waaay more effort while someone else only has to normal summon Snake Eyes Ash lol Good luck man, I hope the RNG is with you one day. You’re working hard for it
great content as always Matchie, must have been a great experience attending a YCS, I believe the deck is really strong too and has a lot of potential, i still find the deck lack consistency though. What do you think of the new Primite cards ? they have great synergy with normal monsters, can Primite and Toy Engine coexist or is it too much. We can only test to find out. Keep up the good work.
it really really sucks that it wasnt streamed, would love to so see DM in a live tourney match..,but big congrats on your feature match you deserved it!. I really love your Deck im also working with it as an foundation for my DM Deck and i get really good resolves for what it is. Im experimenting right now with legacy of the duelist (the perma spell) its small floodgate for your opponent and in combination with TDM in draw phase it feels really good plus you are able to pop yubels backr in BP (It negates the attack to destroy a backr card from your oppenent) i would love to hear your thoughts on that and again big congrats! (side note: what would be your perfect DM card that we are missing? for me personally a Dark Magician tthat is always treated as a DM , can special him self from graveyard or hand by sending 2 cards that use DM in the text from the deck and gets to search on summon)
I was really disappointed that you didn't do better. But what happened to you with the format change was my biggest fear. YCS Anaheim is the same weekend as crossover breakers release. Im going into that expecting a shift in the meta.
Just put Slifer the Sky Dragon in the deck 🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥 (i just decided to optimize slifer in Toy Box/DM and it feels like im cheating, sure I can brick but your eventually gonna brick in DM anyways and since we are running Apprentice to dump Slifer if hes in our hand Slifer isnt really a brick, if things go right i can have Shaddol Winda, Luluwalilith, Slifer with Mound of the Bound Creator, and Avramax with the protection of I:P, mound of the bound creator because with Rod and Quem can make Ancient Fairy Dragon, and ofc toy box on the field, even if i go turn 2 i play Thrust to break board or set up slifer by either grabing foolish and dumping it in the grave, or setting the slifer trap from the deck, the only way to break the board is to have Dark Ruler or a Kaiju of some sort, their normal summon has to be 2k+ in order to stay, most links get blown out, and they can only special summon once because of Shaddol Winda) i got the deck list for anybody who wants to try it out its only 42-41 cards

I'm curious if the world champ Joshua Schmidt would be willing to take your Runick Magician variant to a YCS and put it to the test. Jesse Kotton played a Snake-Eyes Crystal Beast deck and was able to make it to top 32 so I'm wondering if Joshua Schmidt being the best known Runick engine player could top with this Runick Magician variant.
@MatchieYGO Have you ever thought of reaching out to him and seeing if he'd like to do a deck build collaboration with you to maximize Runick Magician? He might be able to see lines of play you don't with his Runick expertise. I mean, the guy topped 5 YCS events, and 3 of them were with some form of Runick variant. Would also make for great RUclips content lol
Unfortunately didnt work out for you in YCS , but cool you got a feature match! Im just trying different DM decks feel like WF is the meta play at moment and gets btter with coming support also testing alot with Azamina + Diabellstar and recently been playing with the Primite cards which is not really for meta but really fun cause you actualy play DM (and its engine) as the main monster. Runick i just dislike it played with it and it good but do not like the style especially skipping battle just hurts cause it the main win condition for DM.

Unfortunately didnt work out for you in YCS , but cool you got a feature match! Im just trying different DM decks feel like WF is the meta play at moment and gets btter with coming support also testing alot with Azamina + Diabellstar and recently been playing with the Primite cards which is not really for meta but really fun cause you actualy play DM (and its engine) as the main monster. Runick i just dislike it played with it and it good but do not like the style especially skipping battle just hurts cause it the main win condition for DM.
