So supposedly the actual display surface below the plastic protector is made from real glass, meaning it would not be scratched by copper or maybe even unhardened steel. Did you ever try to check the hardness of the screen? I'm really interested in the actual properties of this glass, I can't find much about it online.
@@AmaiDullahan Well it's not unremovable. But it's there to stop the glass from completely shattering when dropped. For whatever reason Nintendo didn't go for shatter resistant glass.
I think the reason why it voids warranty when doing this is because aftermarket screen protectors could damage the screen when you remove it later on due to how strong the adhesive is. I had the Dome Glass screen protector on my Note and IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE OFF. I had cracks on the protector so couldn't take it off in one clean sheet. Had to use Goo Gone, blow dry, banging screen on hard surfaces to crack the protector into tiny pieces, then lots of elbow grease to pry it off.
I never had any problems removing white stone temper glass from any of my slab phones. Yes, it does crack here and there but i never have to use any glue removal substance to get rid of the loca that was used to bond the screen to the phone. Maybe you were drunk while removing it. Lol 😆

I don't dare to remove the protection because I'm afraid my insurance won't cover it... what do you think? Excuse me for my bad English. Thanks in advance 🍀
Make sure to tell them it was due to a mechanical breakdown so they can replace it for free! That happened to me in October/November and the first Samsung Care+ representative told me I'd have to pay for it, then I called back and explained again and because it wasn't my fault and I was using the phone as normal, that Samsung would cover it 100%. It just took about 4 weeks to get my brand new replacement device.
I looked at my front screen this morning and noticed a lot of air bubbles. I am wondering if there is a protective screen on it like the internal screen. I'd like to get rid of it since it's really unsightly.
I removed from z flip 3,, much faster than you, nothing happens, this is just plastic film which starts break in the middle of the crease and doesn't look nice just wipe my screen every day once or twice and quality it's much better
I already have both white dome protector kits for the inside and outside screens But damm if the protector is that stuck on there, I might just ride it out and wait until it starts looking gnarly before i replace it.
I'm doing the same for thr inner screen, but I took off the pre-installed protector on the front screen and installed the white dome one and it's so much better. The pre-installed "protectors" are nothing more than flimsy plastic film. It's more for protecting the screens during shipping than anything.

I aciddently removed all the plastic at once, freaked out but screen seems fine
Lol
Did you feel any problems after removing the screen protector?
None
So supposedly the actual display surface below the plastic protector is made from real glass, meaning it would not be scratched by copper or maybe even unhardened steel.
Did you ever try to check the hardness of the screen? I'm really interested in the actual properties of this glass, I can't find much about it online.
No have not checked and would not mess with it. Not worth the risk
Nah, there's another unremovable layer of plastic covering the glass.
@@nathansstuff1547 Wait are you serious?
@@AmaiDullahan Well it's not unremovable. But it's there to stop the glass from completely shattering when dropped. For whatever reason Nintendo didn't go for shatter resistant glass.
Did it change the quality of the under display camera?
Nah
I just has some wishful thinking lol.
Samsung can put a 30 megapixel but the picture quality will be the same as a 4 megapixel.
How did it last?
Don't have the phone any longer
Took mine off , much better , confirmed by samsung also that it has not voided my warranty and is absolutely fine
Great enjoy!
Is it safe to remove the plastic on the spine?
On the outside of the back?
@@DigitalSlang yes
It's fine
@@DigitalSlang Thanks!
Sounds like a nightmare
I never had any problems removing white stone temper glass from any of my slab phones. Yes, it does crack here and there but i never have to use any glue removal substance to get rid of the loca that was used to bond the screen to the phone. Maybe you were drunk while removing it. Lol 😆
I removed mine on flip 3 and applied another one
No problem guys it's just a screen protector sticker
Facts
What tool is that? I got a small amount of loctite on my screen and this could become a godsend
It’s part of the ifixit tool kit
@@DigitalSlang So it can't be purchased on its own?
Good video bro keep it up 👍
Didn't want to do it. But the middle started coming off by itself I thought I broke my phone. By folding it too much. Lol
Lol
Definitely remove it! My husband's phone started splitting down the center fold. He didn't remove the screen protector and it ended up cracking the screen underneath it when it finally came apart.
Hello and thank you for your video, I've had a samsung z fold 3 for about 6 months and yesterday, when I opened it, it peeled off right in the center and now my screen is black in the center (it's really horrible). And the more I try to remove the bubbles, the blacker it gets! And I can't use it anymore without the stylus.... I don't dare to remove the protection because I'm afraid my insurance won't cover it... what do you think? Excuse me for my bad English. Thanks in advance 🍀
I would take that to a Samsung store.. they will remove it for you and if they do it your still covered by the warranty
No tools needed.... Just slide a piece of printer paper under one corner and gently peel the screen protector off. Easy peasy!
I am about to replace my screen protector. T-Mobile replaced my phone the first time it bubbled up. LOL
I am going to just swap out this one myself.
Might as well, good luck
My phone just started to get a big bubble down the middle
Time to remove it
I removed from z flip 3,, much faster than you, nothing happens, this is just plastic film which starts break in the middle of the crease and doesn't look nice just wipe my screen every day once or twice and quality it's much better
Just removed mine, it didn't do bad, I lasted a year, my flip only lasted 3 months
Not bad at all
This man recorded this video with 10 cameras and STILL didn't get a good angle of the peel...... What you're doing??
😂😆😂😆😂
I already have both white dome protector kits for the inside and outside screens
But damm if the protector is that stuck on there, I might just ride it out and wait until it starts looking gnarly before i replace it.
I'm doing the same for thr inner screen, but I took off the pre-installed protector on the front screen and installed the white dome one and it's so much better. The pre-installed "protectors" are nothing more than flimsy plastic film. It's more for protecting the screens during shipping than anything.
if i take it off can i trade it in for a different phone on samsung's website?
Yep I've done it
@@DigitalSlang nice, thanks for the reply
@@goodtyme anytime
Just took mine off. I can't stand screen protectors and everything feels and looks much better. Thanks for easing my worries salute!
Enjoy
Did you ever apply another screen protector to your Fold 3 or are you still rocking it screen protector free?
@@EddieBeltranb Nah I kept it naked.
@@osirisxtv how is it holding on after all this time?
@@EddieBeltranb I switched to the s22 ultra but while it was off for the months that I had the device it was totally fine no issues at all but a good quality screen protector can't hurt.
If you wait a few months it will just delaminate itself. . .
Thank you bro
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
Try removing it on a fold 1
Lol
Why Remove It - Especially People Removing It Just To Put Another Screen Protector On It From Another Maker When Samsung Has Perfectly Placed A Screen Protector From The Factory
Glass screen protectors are miles better than this flimsy thin plastic that Samsung has placed on their phones.
@@kylerpointerify but its not a screen protector, its literally a required part of the screen
@@DeadUnderflow no it's not
@@Ltshadow1 in the folds it is
@@DeadUnderflow but no, it's not.
I personally tried sample unit and totally disagree that the stock main display protector is sticker than last year's. In fact, a lot of RUclipsrs already said this year's is much closer to normal glass in terms of touch. I don't know if you are paid to install the liquid screen protector but if you really are, you should disclose that frankly in this clip.
Lol paid to install a screen protector..
if I was paid for anything which I wasn’t I would disclose it in the video with that product. Not a video removing a screen protector.
And stickier meaning the back of the film
Even in my pho
phone after a year
Did on Fold 2 did again on Fold 3. Feel much better.
Absolutely
You might want to use a blow dryer with this removal.
Samsung didn't use super glue to adhere the protector to the screen. Lol 😆. I removed mine with no problem at all. And loving my dome silk protector.
With the original film, can your nails ruin the screen?
Nice video sry bad english
Yeah you can ruin the screen with your nails
I found the display to be shite. Removed the protector and its still shite. Sending it back 🤣.
I did it while watching this video
Thanks, I just took mine off.

Voids the Warranty head up
Nope.. does not
@@DigitalSlang it does mate
Might hurt trade in later also
@@DigitalSlang Samsung has confirmed it voids warranty
@@kelvinmorris1991 Wrong
The stock screen protector inside is way better specially using with s pen.
Your warranty is toast 🤣
That’s ok
@@DigitalSlang if you're into repairing your own phone all good, even then, parts aren't always available from Samsung. But good on you for pushing Samsungs decision to use such materials 👍
By the way this does not void the warranty.. see my pinned comment
@@DigitalSlang samsung US just stated that if I remove and replace my warranty is indeed voided and they will send device back if sent in without OEM installed screen protector. Not sure why we're getting mixed responses but just putting this out here.
Living dangerously
Just put it in the freezer closed and take it out and open it. mine peeled away first cold day when I opened it; sounded like it broke but was just so cold it couldn't flex I guess.
Say goodbye to almost 2000 dollars if you don't have insurance
Yeah your wrong
I like how you act like you know if your warranty is voided without calling Samsung she confirming it. You just go around saying stupid shit thinking you're right. I wish I had that kind of freedom.
Người ta dán chẳng duoc tụi này bóc mẹ ra ;)))
You just voided your warranty
Not to worried about it
And it does not void the warranty
worst advise ever. the z fold 3 factory protective film is perfectly fine. why go out of your way to remove something that doesnt need to be removed not to mentiom voiding your warranty?
This is your opinion. I remove protection from 2 screen on Fold 2 and did again today on home screen on Fold 3. If you try you never will get back to chip plastic screen. I spend $2 k for enjoyment not for protect stupid screen on the phone. Live to short!! Enjoy
advice?
No where in the video did I say do this
The phone literally closes and protects the inner screen. How bad at life are you that you still might scratch it? I took it off on my fold 2 and just traded it in with zero internal scratches.
Imagine being this fucking stupid.
