@MrPig208 yeh you put a camera in the car that year. awesome footage from that angle. you guys sent me a copy of it thanks heaps for that. when my wife watched it she said that she would never get in it with me again at the track lol....
Now thats what im talking about, even with one arm out the window its under control. They turn, brake steer, and dont handle like a boat. Know wonder they done so well at bathurst. Why would you even consider a ford lol. Actuaually the best ford ive seen lately had a twin turbo lexus in it. Smart man, he seen the light.
now that i think about it, if we were man enough to do these kind of competitions in america, we would have to create a new term for it. about the most we can do is a stand still burnout while an official has a string tied to ur wrist so he can call it off when he wants. aint no way in hell we would have this kind of badassery going on over here
yeah the real difference was the sound of Victors engine, the blower whine just added so much ....plus the video was filmed up much closer so it caught the sound a lot more,, plussss back then if you had a blown motor with 700 hp it was massive, now 700hp is the starter kit. From memory Victors did smoke up a lot quicker, it would be similar but I think his wall of smoke was more instant.
pretty good.... only thing missing was a great sound, even though it was V8 it didnt sound that awesome. If you could ever find a video of the street machine Nationals held in Canberra before the first Summernats Victor Bray does a power burnout with his street race 57 Chev which youd love. Not as long as this but a lot more smoke from the start.. great video, it was narrated by a few guys while they were supposedly drinking beer and getting drunker as the video went on.
Cunt you couldn’t possibly be Aussie, you’re too busy sucking off yanks to realise just how much better Aussie v8’s sound, and I mean Aussie, none of this LS or Chevy dogshit
@OlsVicDash they are both very similar. drifting is about aproach and angle basiclly the same as the powerskid except the angle is very minor and to measure distance. drifting is to connect the slide
thanks to everyone who likes or hates this car. I enjoy thrashing the shit out of my car and having fun with it. the poor old motor finally gave up during a burnout comp after 8 years of this kind of punishment.
in australia it's called a powerskid because a burnout is different. A burnout is a burnout, this is a powerskid..look up aussie burnout competitions and compare it to this..
@Yutubetopteensingers I know the video you're talking about, it's a classic but Victor did his burnout in what was bascially a side street, this is on a wide racetrack so in perspective they look totally different. Put this car in the same situation as victors and it would look just as impressive.
how many Americans just fell back in their chairs and said ,,, holy shit so that's how it done???
Puts us to shame that’s for sure!
One of my old time favorite power skids. Still the king.
that is something that toranas will always be the best at
This is the amount of smoke i want in gran turismo 5.
Most. Accurate. RUclips. Title. Ever.
Geeze, that car was faster in the quarter mile than most ricers regardless of his spinning tires the entire way.
That so good when everybody goes off cos he's still on it haha legend
The other contestants would need some aloe vera for that 'BURN'
umm....aussies?
exactly
Whom has summoned the ancient one???
smokem if you gottem thats one hell of a powerskid well done !!!!!!!!!!
couldn't agree more, if your spinning it up and driving straight you're either in a falcodore or need a new diff, cause only one wheel is spinning!
That's one way to give the entire grandstand cancer! lol!
DUDE!! Thats the sickest demo i have ever seen wish he could pull up next to me at the lights and do it F%^K YEAH
this skid is still one of my favorites, it certainly deserves the title "best powerskid"
haha 0:14 the dreaded "flash of the finger"
hell yeah, that IS the best power skid I've ever seen.
that is clearly the best powerskid i have ever seen!!!! that guy can drive. cherry should give this a shot in his clubby, 1300rwhp turbo vy R8
Damn he knows how to wheel that thing!
Solid effort man
He gave that N2o a good purge to
#yeahtheboys
#Straya

The tire industry loves this kind of stuff.
Torana's always go well in the powerskid
just about the most awesome display of power
Well, ur right, thats the best one I think, AWESOME!! Wish the USA could do events like this!!
Nice Torry mate, always liked the SLR5000 and A9X, good stuff mate, keep it up!
he never copped traction, he copped end of the straight.
@hassevonanka Um, it's a Torana. What video are you watching?
Powerskid - go look it up. It's a competition held at Powercruise events. Burnouts are a different competition.
brilliant car and great driving well built machine !!
this reminds me of when finnegan and freiburger went to 1 of these shows on MT
Yer power cruise is a big auzzi power skid event
@MrPig208 yeh you put a camera in the car that year. awesome footage from that angle. you guys sent me a copy of it thanks heaps for that. when my wife watched it she said that she would never get in it with me again at the track lol....
this car is unbelievable. i can only wish......
when I read the title of this at first I thought it said BEST FORESKIN EVER
"warmed up my tires,lets drag"
.
That's wht my dads like when he comes home from the bar!
awesome display of balls.
Now thats what im talking about, even with one arm out the window its under control. They turn, brake steer, and dont handle like a boat. Know wonder they done so well at bathurst. Title sums it up perfect!
Excellent !

the v8 heads know all the tricks from way back... like soaking their tires in diesel, putting wight in their boots etc.. thats how
Awesome video! THANKS!
STRAYAAA! Fcken oathh mate would loved to have been there in person :)
straya boy. that's how it's done
@gassedlx im not a holden man at all hence my number plates but my hat comes off to that burnout well done i cant stop replayin the video awsome work
Fucken mad powerskid haha. I love the notion that any street registered car can do that :P
FARRR OUT!!! Now thats wat i call cutting sick!
Not allowed to use the brakes
pffftt... i pull out of my driveway like that every morning lol
yeah the real difference was the sound of Victors engine, the blower whine just added so much ....plus the video was filmed up much closer so it caught the sound a lot more,,

Wish I had more car events in my country :(
I'm sure you know but in the video, that was an aussie car.
I can smell it in my room oh this smels good i love this smel!
@xXxdaguitarfreakxXx I know, but swerving makes it easier to keep the wheels spinning, becomes mre liek drifting. But like I said, still awesome.
i've seen this torana do a few burnouts on you tube, THIS IS THE BEST CAR EVER.
Now that is a good skid
pretty good....
only thing missing was a great sound, even though it was V8 it didnt sound that awesome. That is some fucking nice driving. Sideways at 60+ is a hard thing to control.
@timothyridgeothy
LOL, I had to go back and see what you were talking about. It is pretty white, but it's only the top quarter at the start. :)
Lets see a 4 banger do that with such little effort
that smoke looks yum haha
pure aussie talent :)
waiting for his tires to blow as hes doing like 70 mph and just eats complete shit and afterwards asks himself. wtf was i thinking?
no brake lights 1 phat power skid!!!!!
A whole lotta win right there
Legend performance
@OlsVicDash they are both very similar. drifting is about aproach and angle basiclly the same as the powerskid except the angle is very minor and to measure distance. drifting is to connect the slide
if this was a game, hes nitro bar would be at full by now :D
Sick as mate pump the horsepower flat stick!!
yo i wanna know who built his motor to do that
thanks to everyone who likes or hates this car. I enjoy thrashing the shit out of my car and having fun with it. the poor old motor finally gave up during a burnout comp after 8 years of this kind of punishment.
Love to see some of these aussie muscle cars in the states, I've seen 2 I think.
no way
Tires.... NOW YA SEE 'EM NOW YA DONT!
That was insane
I saw the title and thought that's a big call........ well shit you could just be right...
Faaark!!! Now that's a skid!
Awesome!!
Now that's tuff up the old holden
in australia it's called a powerskid because a burnout is different. A burnout is a burnout, this is a powerskid..look up aussie burnout competitions and compare it to this..
Forza should add this to their game mode!
i love the burnning smell of rubber in the morning =)
that is farkin insane, woo hoo !!!!!
@CichlidsRAwesome You're right:
"Damn! I thought VTEC was the ultimate!!! (Whimper..)"
Anyone know what the engine combo was? Obviously on the bottle....

I recon that was up there with some shit ive seen 'ke355' pull aswell.
from the start line at calder to the sand trap....
the American gave us Drags and Burnouts but we mixed them together
@Yutubetopteensingers I know the video you're talking about, it's a classic but Victor did his burnout in what was bascially a side street, this is on a wide racetrack so in perspective they look totally different. Put this car in the same situation as victors and it would look just as impressive.
best ive every seen
@auzziads Gups HQ is awesome too, I've been for a ride (should have taken the video camera for that LOL ), but seriously this was just so unexpected.
Looks like all American muscle cars are transporting to aussie
