I do believe you are my hair soulmate. :) i just started looking for info, because at almost 50 years old. i have realized my hair is wavy. I always brushed my hair a lot when it was drying, or blew it dry, so i never even noticed. Two weeks of playing with not doing that and scrunxhing in light hold products, and my long brown hair looks a lot like yours. It is fascinating. Loving your channel because it is about enjoying the wave and making the best of your hair, not trying to have curls tighter than the natural pattern. And most channels have people with much curlier and/or shorter hair than me.

I just started dampening my hair on day 2, and I add just a little gel, mousse what I’m using then let it dry naturally. It comes out with a more full look. Thank you for the video and hair tips.

Im watching for fun since i watch all your videos. I found my easy refresh is using a foam after dampening the hair for easy distribution and coverage. That or just braid it overnight and have beachy waves.

Thank you for the video - 2 videos in a week🥰💗
i love the wave/curl pattern you get with your much longer hair now. How long did it approximately take you to grow your hair from shoulder length to your current length?

Thank you 🩷🩷 probably about 2 years! Depends how often you trim inbetween though and how much length gets cut 🙂

💙 Awesome, as always! I finally got a diffusing dryer. I'm learning.
I think I like my NYM gel over mousse too. Maui foam mousse gives frizz the moment you step outside in the slightest wind..
It's still a great product, but I think it's better for the refresh days. I have a question; would it be safe to put gel mixed with water in a continuous mist bottle?
I haven't done it yet, but I do generally use this mix in a cheap regular spray bottle on my refresh days.

Mmm I’m not sure I guess, it does seem like you’d be inhaling it 😬 then again, aerosol exists and lots of products are used in that way so maybe it would be fine? 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@tabithagingerich oh. I hadn't even thought of that part. Hmm.. well, was wondering if it would alter the continuous misting effect, like clog it from working properly 🤔

@@OpalMoonstone247 ahh that makes more sense 🙂 it should be ok if you don’t put too much gel in there and mix it really well! But I haven’t tried it so not positive

Hi, I am new to the wavy/curly hair method. I use the rhyme & reason gel serum you have as well as a mousse. My hair is a little bit shorter than yours. For some reason the top layer of my hair falls straight compared to the underneath part. Do you know why this might be? My baby hairs on my hairline develop a beautiful curl pattern, as well as the hairs below the top layer of my hair. I’m not sure why the top layer falls straight. Do you have any recommendations for this? I was thinking maybe the Ag hair recoil product will help. Please let me know if you have any suggestions :) thank you!!🩵

Could be your top layer has more wear and tare or just genetics. It’s not unusual to have different textures on the same head of hair. You could do a protein treatment and see where that takes you. Protect your hair at night as well. Maybe a slight layered hair cut could help balance the curls. I don’t know how you style your hair but I recommend not tying it back too tight especially when wet.

I’ve been having more wet frizz even when refreshing do you know why this might happen? In between the hairs not halo

Mmm has your hair recently experienced more damage in any way? a lot of heat, dye/coloring, etc. sometimes it can take awhile to get your hair back to normal after something like that.. Or it could obviously be something totally different! Wish I could help more 🩷

What dry shampoos do you recommend? Also I’ve heard it’s bad for curly hair I guess cuz of the alcohol? Any comments or advice about this

    • @tabithagingerich
      @tabithagingerich  Год назад +1

My personal favorite is the living proof phd original dry shampoo.. I think a large majority of hair products have some form of alcohol in them! I know there are certain types that are not good for your hair, but I just usually do my best to research individual products as much as I can before purchasing!

There’s powder ones that don’t have alcohol. Lush makes a decent powder one, it smells good.
