At this point I'm firmly convinced they make such building mistakes purposely to push players to modify the builds and play around with build mode. There's... no other explanation.

The original build seemed more accurate to what some train stations actually look like. The stairs all around the lot reminds me of the some of the stations I see going along California. It reminded me a lot of the Santa Barbara Amtrak station for some reason.
Accurate to life is not always as good. When I look at that original build I could smell the...urine.

I've actually been to a bar like this! It's literally called The Station and it serves pretty bomb pub food. The actual train station is not in use anymore but looks this grody and smelled heavily of urine. It is a thing!

I guess the smaller room with the missing furniture was ment to be kind of a dance floor maybe? There is a jukebox on the wall so it made some sence and since there are no actual dancefloors in basegame or eco lifestyle they couldn't put one down.
They could have developed a dancefloor for ecolifestyle! Missed opportunity by EA

Yes!!! I was actually excited about the dancing space when I first went to this bar in my game
Like that space is really good for a party full of people. Like empty clubs, people need space to dance and go around, that's why the tables, chairs, etc are all close the the walls.

Build challenge: build a house using one of EA’s shell like a shell challenge. Delete the walls and then furnish it.
I do this so much, because I can't make shells myself. Also take builds from the galary for the same reason.

I thought that too, though they kept the jukebox kinda close to the seating. I figure that it's probably so Sims sitting can be in range to listen, but it still looks awkward to me.
It would make sense if sims 4 actually had dance floors like it did in sims 2. And discoballs

Hey Kayla, the seating was all pushed over so sims can dance in that room. Great build.
The porch layout is meant to look like a train station platform.
Hence why the pole/beams are in the middle as some older styled train stations do that.
Can we just appreciate the content Simsie makes? She uploads good quality content with funny commentary and also streams on Twitch and has time to be a history major. Ugh, and on top of that, she's gorgeous. Love you Kayak, keep up the good content and take a break if you need to! ❤️

I been playing rags to riches in my own game and during the 2nd dumpster dive I found a money tree seed (they give you 8k a day once fully grown) so my sims are already rich
So I got the ECO pack for my birthday from my husband...and I started my family and she ended up trying for baby in the dumpster and she had 2 girls. Trasha and Cannie

This pack has a lot of "minor mistakes" which I find pretty unprofessional for how big the game is
EA acts like they're a small indie company and it's okay to have no one check their game for mistakes before releasing it.

EA pack builders are wild. I honestly don't know how these small mistakes get passed them. Like, even when I'm making a quick build there's less mistakes than this. This is their JOB.
I agree. it’s like, how do you mess something up so bad and not notice? part of me wants to think they do it on purpose to encourage playing with build mode but just why do it that way? it bugs me so much lmao
Its their job to create the game, not to play it. They are developers, not interior designers. They don't hire someone for that, they just let some of the developers build the houses. That's why they sometimes look....questionable. I also think they sometimes do it on purpose so we have something to renovate, which I appreciate.

The weirdness of the back deck in the original build is that it's the boarding platform for the trains. We have converted railway stations in my city and they all have that slightly weird deck/stairs combo, so I think they were actually going for realistic here :) Love this idea!
How do you not notice that a window is a different swatch??? I im bothered when the woodtones don't match. Do the people that make this only get 30 min to build?
Someone said it's like they do the challenge where you can't change anything once you put it down and that's so true 😂 But I love renovating their builds so it's fine by me.

at this point i feel like they make little mistakes on purpose for kayla to fix them
One of the best things about the game is to renovate everything, in my opinion, so I always think they do it on purpose. Just let me believe, please 😂

been soo long since you've done a let's build series 🥺 it could be fun to do one for one of the community lots (the garden/maker space/market ones) you could do an ep focusing on building the structure, then three more for each of the variations

The empty space appears to me like a possibility of a dancefloor ? And if u have that pack u could add it maybe? The different color of the window... maybe should give it more flair of the "renovated train station"? The columns maybe to support the appearance of a local train station of one of the ea creator's hometowns? - I don't know and maybe wanted to give it a slightly broken look with that strange roof. So that porch, and the weird columns. It's because it's a platform at a train station, just replicated with sims conventions. Many train stations, particularly at the end of the line, have that weird uneven shape, but it's a restricted area. Maybe it's a location thing but it was immediately recognizable as a rural/regional style train platform for me XD
That back porch deserves rocking chairs also I think the paneling makes it look like a saw mill which still makes sense by the tracks

Sooo the bar looks like a European old waiting room next to the train station, where you can buy the tickets or you can wait for your next train. We have the same kind of buildings in Hungary, that's why the porch is so big and everything. Maybe they closed the waiting room and made it into a bar/pub. It reminds me my hometown's waiting room.

There's an old train station in my city that was converted into a pet store! My dad remembers when it was still a station. I'll see if I can get some photos of the place, it's really nice!

I think you definitely did well. I like how big the difference was, because even if it had a lot of major mistakes, it looked like a train station, but it's a BAR. A place can DEFINITELY be inspired by something completely different, but it still has to stay with the ORIGINAL concept, and you did just that. The BAR is a with a train station INSPIRED theme. You delivered it well, and I like the add of a logo (it makes it professional to me, even if it is just a game). You stayed with the concept, but you gave it MORE than that: personality, fun touches and details, yet kept the professionalism and sophistication a bar deserves. I really like and enjoy how you mixed YOUR personality with the game's ORIGINAL concept. Good job!

This looks like a bar we have in Windsor, Vermont! (The Windsor Station) the outside has just been freshened up but the inside was pretty much completely redone.
