I really have problem with this "weaker"... 😐 And I'm not talking about you, but about a lot of people who somehow are diminishing Pentagon's and some other groups performances because they didn't present a 'hard choreo' enough. That really pisses me off. Each group gave the best of themselves, they have such unique talents and Msnake decided that an elimination process would be good 🤦♀️. Furthermore, is there any rule about doing stunts and jumps like crazy to be able to get #1??? No, right? Hard choreo is great, but why only this kind of thing should be rewarded? I don't understand the system in this competition... And it's not even a competition anymore. We all know who is gonna win (and No, I'm not trying to shade the group or their efforts, they are amazing), but the competition got senseless... All of them will perform already knowing they will not win.
Considering that they put the competition aside to make something memorable and enjoyable for themselves and Jinho, 3rd is great. It means that for the small glimpse we had into their hearts, it was still very much impactful. I do think that their approach was actually the more suited to the theme. It wasn't just "my song" it was "our story", I think that's much more beautiful than a fictional concept. (Other teams did great though, they were of course more sensational and impressive)

Remember Mamamoo didnt even get 1st during the 1st and 2nd round of Queendom but they still won the Queendom. We all just need is to believe in Pentagon and see them rise. 😊😊

Seeing the criteria points for round 2, they should have been 2nd for the 2nd round's stage and overall if only they had higher Audience Online Votes. Round 2 has two criteria, first is the Self-Evaluation by the other groups' members which is 30% of the total points, and the Online Audience Vote, which is 70%. For the Self-Evaluation, they got the 2nf highest points next to The Boyz, while they got 5th in the Online Audience Votes. If only they got higher online votes, they could have placed 2nd for round 2 and 2nd overall. 3rd place isn't bad. All universes know what pentagon is truly capable of. They could've pull off a much stronger stage but they chose not to because they wanted to give Jinho a special gift before his enlistment. Honestly, I'm not disappointed at all. Great job, my babies. Next stage will be LIT ♡
On the outside, this performance did seem a bit weaker, considering how much other teams added props and dancers for their stages. But think about it, this stage implicitly may be the strongest of all seven stages. Why? It's about giving Jinho one last performance; picturing how close of a team is Pentagon, because, being in a team, it's more about caring about each other and growing with each other. Winning? Success? For sure, but a true team grows up to be a family. Pentagon showed us this with this stage, showed that their friendship was far more important than winning this task. Therefor, the "message", or the "meaning" behind this stage was so deep that it practically made this stage the strongest for this task. (Not saying that other performances weren't strong, just that if you look at the implicit meaning of this stage, it was so beautiful and deep)
Even though they couldn't sing properly in the last part of the performance (and come on, who could, right?😭) I feel that was the most great vocal performance so far in the show. Pentagon never disappoint on this... If our boy Jinho could be there until the end, I'm sure we would appreciate even more amazing vocal things. But that's OK... I'm sure Pentagon will keep doing their best. I believe that from now on they are gonna get adapted to the situation and to what this shows requires (basically performative dancing) what it's such a pity because I know they would show even more a great side of them if they were totally free to create and didn't have to be forced into a competition that is not competitive anymore. I still wish they win the show, but unfortunately I don't think it's possible anymore. So, let's at least enjoy all the beautiful stages these boys can show us. 😊
They got 3rd place just by being themselves and that’s amazing !! Taking the risk of getting lower score to give Jinho a proper send off was the nicest and purest thing they could do

Pentagon never disappoint on this... If our boy Jinho could be there until the end, I'm sure we would appreciate even more amazing vocal things. But that's OK... I'm sure Pentagon will keep doing their best. I believe that from now on they are gonna get adapted to the situation and to what this shows requires (basically performative dancing) what it's such a pity because I know they would show even more a great side of them if they were totally free to create and didn't have to be forced into a competition that is not competitive anymore.
I still wish they win the show, but unfortunately I don't think it's possible anymore. So, let's at least enjoy all the beautiful stages these boys can show us. 😊
