- So tonight is Elegant night on the MSC Virtuosa, well not tonite but you know what i mean 😅
In this video we are going to Show you how Elegant night on MSC cruises works and what we thought of it.
Now if you are an experienced cruiser you may already know, but MSC seem to be alot more relaxed when it comes to clothing on these nights which people might find better if they are not comfortable getting all dressed up in a suit or a dress and heels.
We show you what kind of food you might experience on your elegant night, we also show you the Captain's speech and some clips of the entertainment in the theatre.
We also got to watch 007 himself on the outdoor cinema screen, i mean come on who is more elegant than Bond... James Bond

I’m on that exact cruise in 2024 (same time of year too) - how was it? I’ve heard it can get really busy in August, did you find drinks service to be okay, and any tips for avoiding the crowds?
Ooo, been looking forward to the next episode and here it is 🙂 I paused the video so I can peruse the menu and I would have the eggplant too. I have learnt my lesson with eating the bread first from experience. Me n the hubby went for a meal and when they brought the bread out it looked so nice, we ate the lot but then they brought out the starters and they were huge. When the mains came out, we were stuffed already. We said to the server how full we were because of the bread and she said 'Oh yes, we've get that a lot' We were like, why didn't you warn us, lol. This cruise is shaping up to be a good 'un. Looking forward to the next episode already. Thank you for sharing your hols with us 🙂

We never have our photos taken, well apart from our first cruise, you can say no :P.
Eat bread straight away and ask for more.
Glad you enjoyed the night, we don't tend to do things like this, but it's great that there is something for everyone. Some lines are definitely more strict, the rule for HAL was basically a collared shirt and nice slacks for a man, and well something nice for the ladies. also, if you don't want to do it go to the buffet which is what we normally do. We do however enjoy meeting the captain.
Some lines do offer popcorn :)

The food you had looked amazing. My favorite thing is beef Wellington and I love eggplant with a tomato sauce. Can you get both? The mint dessert looked nice too. Haven’t been on a cruise but when I go I hope the food is as good as yours. Can’t wait till you show some of your off ship adventures.
The great thing about a cruise is you can have as much as you want from the menu the waiters won't judge you 😂

I was wondering how many people dress up in black tie and long dress, would you say more did or didn't. I love dressing up but it looks very casual on this ship. I noticed on your last one people seemed to be in the mdr in very casual clothes.
Would probably say more didn't but there was still a few that did. Think MSC are abit more relaxed about it, though the option is still there to dress up if you please
Hi. We are currently in the process of booking a cruise for next year, and these vids are great. We were on Explorer of the seasons for our honeymoon about 5 years ago. We would love to know which you prefer over MSC or P and 0?
Thanks so much , we loved both but probably MSC was better suited to what we like. You'll probably see more as the videos go on though why that is. We would definitely do another MSC one next again but always on the look out for deals and wouldn't rule out P&O though if we got a good deal for a itinerary we liked 😁
What night are LOBSTER a part of menu, or which restaurant? Traveling on Virtuoso. A non food question. Going on Virtuoso. at end of year. Do you remember the cost for the streaming wifi package?
We didn't get lobster. We saw online they did lobster but maybe they didn't do it our week. No don't remember the prices for the wifi as we didn't have it
Does the menu tell you why some of them have * next to them?
Its just a public saftey advisory about eating raw/undercooked meats etc

Hi guys, we have booked this route for October on the Virtuosa with our two kids. We were wondering if the ship offers an excursion to Disneyland whilst docked in La Havre? Also wondering what the general cost of soda is & if it's worthwhile getting the drinks package or not. Any help appreciated.
They don’t do a trip to Disney but they do one to Paris

Hi not to Disneyland Paris but they do do trips to Paris was quite expensive but worth it if its somewhere you really want to go
As for the drinks package it worked out better for us to just buy when we needed as we also brought a few cans of pop back on the ship with us after we had been out for the day. If you like a few drinks like cocktails and things it would probably be worth getting the package as they soon add up. We don't really drink though. Hope you have an amazing time the ship is beautiful. Any other questions just let us know anytime 😁
Oh and sorry forgot to add the cans were about £3 each!

another couple hooked on cruising?? thanks for the blogs guys. one question..... i thought i heard you mention you paid £9 for the show.... is that right?? if so why?? with the great deal you got for the virtuosa, does that mean other stuff has to be paid for??
They have "free" shows in the theatre but they have 2 cirque du soleil style shows that you pay for. Its £ 9 each if you book before you get on the ship or £15 if you book on the ship. You get a cocktail aswell. Its an amazing show
I’m thinking about going solo crusing on this ship in September to Norway and I’ll be 20 then, would you recommend? I’m quite outgoing and will talk to anyone but is there people in their 20s to talk to?
Yes you should be fine. They have single cruiser events aswell so keep your eye out for them

Think it was the Michael buble show or something like that. It was Frank Sinatra songs like that kind of genre etc. Was very fitting for elegant night !
