The Penrith jersey was inspired by the 2003 Jersey they had. In 2003, Penrith won their second title. So the 2023 grand final marked the 20 year anniversary of it. Also, the ref was well regarded in this game for staying out of it and letting a fair bit go so the high tackles weren't really called. Penrith fan: the Moses try a consolidation try. The 40/20 that followed, belief. Winning - Disbelief.
I don't know why NRL Didn't have Adam Gee referee Origin or The Grand Final, the 2023 Grand Final is almost considered to be better then 2015 because the ref let the players actually play
@@NREEditz I heard a report that Gee had hurt his hamstring or something but I could never find any official confirmation for that. But it was a bit of a joke that he wasn't given it. They also gave Klein origin.
Critta took the first kick because in the first 15 minutes Cleary got hip dropped he had a torn pcl in his left knee and played the rest of the game, crazy player
bros a literal demon, the most complete NRL player in a very long time, since Joey, would of loved to see a cleary v joey battle or imagine if they teamed, it's wraps lmao
yeap, and its never talked about. he had surgery afterwards and was crippled in a moonboot for half of the pre season. how the hell did he finish that game with that kind of injury
@@0xLimas bros built different he dislocated his finger aswell before hand but dislocated fingers are pretty common, then this year played with a dud shoulder and is now in the same position this pre season… healing from surgery, 👎
Panthers fan here. After the third Ezra Mam try, I conceeded that the Broncs kids had won and the Panther's dynasty was over (Luai injured, Yeo and Sorensen off with HIAs, Tago with Pec issues) and the Broncs were the next big thing. The rest of the game was surreal and had to watch it over again about 5 times to be able to properly comprehend what had happened. It was a very weird moment to be honest.
Another great reaction love watching your content on the NRL. It's always interesting seeing American's and Canadians watching our great game. Looking forward to your 2025 NRL seasons reactions. And it's good to see you have picked up a lot of knowledge of tha game plus your starting to know a lot of tha NRL player's as well.
The balls for Rugby Union and Rugby League are not the same. They are very similar in shape and are easily confused but they are definitely different and have been designed specifically to cater for the difference in game play for each code.
I was watching this game as a Panthers fan with family who are Broncos fans and I was feeling pretty bad and almost conceding defeat at 24-8 down but after the Leota try and Cleary’s 40/20 I started to believe again! It was the greatest grand final comeback ever and the game by Cleary to silence his doubters. The Broncos fans were speechless after we grabbed the title that they had one hand on!
I was at the game but at 24-14 I was feeling super confident that we'd comeback and win because in the 2020 Grand Final we almost came back from 26-0 but ran out of time only losing by 6 to Melbourne Storm. I always back my team to the end UP THE MIGHTY PANTHERS GONNA MAKE HISTORY WITH NATHAN CLEARY DAILY M YEAR AND 5TH PREMIERSHIP
Something to note, in grand finals and origin games, they are very relaxed on the rules (e.g high tackles). Which as a fan, is the way we prefer the game to be refereed. Too many penalties during the regular season
These highlights didn't show some of the big plays, big hits from leota.. the shift in momentum and the big one that it missed is Nathan clearys 40/20 right after leotas first try. Great reaction bro!
Although not my team i think this was one of the best grand final games i have seen. I would highly recommend watching the women's Grand final which was also a great game (which my team won). A great example of needing to play the entire 80 minutes. Nathan Cleary played with a huge amount of heart and led his team to a fairytale grand final win.
I was at the game behind the post where Cleary scored 😮 shocked! like all the Brisbane fans but as a neutral in awe of Nathan. I saw a cocky stadium of Brisbane fans get shook and silenced but it was the game of both teams and Nathans brilliance that made it one of the greatest gf imo.
Also will add for context, Penrith were so dominant this game especially in the first half where they were almost scoreless because of the Broncos defense, they had like a 70% possession of the ball which is insane to not score any points except for the one dropout mistake. This made those last 20 minutes easier for Penrith as the Broncos were out on their feet, had no energy.
Loved the reaction video mate! For other Grand Finals you should definitely watch I’d say the 1997 GF Knights vs Sea Eagles and the 2015 GF Cowboys vs Broncos. If you wanna watch another classic origin game I’d say 2022 Game 3 was one of the best behind this year’s decider so definitely check that one out too!
Hey Eamonn, was wondering if you were still interested in doing an nrl fantasy competition for the upcoming season. It also helps so much with knowing the names of players and the best players at each positions.
As someone who supports another team. Watching that Leota Try, I thought Penrith won then and there. My Broncos supporter sister who was watching with me, knew it was over after the next try.
Broncos and Penrith were so far ahead that season, their wasn't really much competition except between them two. Brisbane beat Melbourne 26-0 in the first week and they were probably the third biggest threat maybe warriors, but nowhere near them two. Then the falloff needs to be studied.. Probably just losing Herbie Farnworth because he was a beast in defense and a workhorse which the Bronx were missing this year.

When it was 24-8 to the broncos with still 24 minutes left I knew Penrith was gonna come back and make it close but didn’t think they would win it
Same. I couldn't see Broncos Winning.

2015 grand final is worth a watch and then you should watch the 2022 state of origin series after that. great video mate

Yessir I do plan on getting a lot more into fantasy and such for this season. I'll work on setting up a comp for my community as well.
Broncos didn't blow it, Panthers stepped it up. Same as 2024, two great teams in an epic game
Grand final is always played in Sydney
If there is a video on the history of the trophy, definitely watch it. There is an amazing back story to it
I'm not a Penrith fan but Cleary is a freak.
As someone who supports another team. Watching that Leota Try, I thought Penrith won then and there. My Broncos supporter sister who was watching with me, knew it was over after the next try.
thanks Eamonn, whats next? 2015 GF? 😭
2015 Grand Final is so Overrated it's just the the last 2 mins that everyone likes it for as a grand final in whole pretty average grand final
Check out 2015 gf. Another heartbreaker for us bronx fans
probably the best grand final ever. very close with 2015

Google Ezra mam drug crash.
Enjoy the GRAND FINAL Sir! 🌟🥰
NRL Players PLAY with injuries. NRL is not like the NFL where a Team has 50+ players...
