On Monday July 19th & the big Day July 20th, 2021 the New Jersey Transit GP40 #4109 "CNJ" Finally made her appearence on the Raritan Valley Line, first time ever for this locomotive while serving NJTransit wearing the Heritage paint has this locomotive touched her home rails of the former Central Railroad of New Jersey. Why did NJTransit finally let 4109 run on the Raritan Valley Line well a very special occasion indeed. That special occasion was engineer Frank "Jethro" Strunk's Retirement on July 20th, 2021. Frank had 53 years of service with the railroad and was liked by his coworkers, passengers, and the railfans. One other thing to mention #4109 entered service at the same year that Frank started his career back in 1968. I would like to acknowledge @TrainsOfBrazil, Nick The Train Guy check out his channel: bit.ly/2lEAtfO, & too, too many others to even start.

53 years!! Hope he's having a wonderful retirement.
Absolutely, I hope he is having a great one..
Hey Jethro. About time you retired!
I've been retired going on 21 years from NJT. Otherwise known as the hell hole. 2Shots.
I can't give this enough thumbs ups. That last audio made me tear up. I don't even know Frank and I already know I like him.
Thank you very much buixrule, same here it was a heart warming sort of moment/time...
AMAZING VIDEO ADAM!!! LOVE THE AUDIO, GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS
Thank you Rafael, yup it was a good mood vibe that's for sure.
Nice!
Thank you for watching Trenton Line Railfan, greetings from along the Raritan Valley Line.
4109 sure is a beauty, especially in that paint scheme! It’s also rare to see Geeps hauling multi-levels! Great video too! 👍🏻
Thank you for watching Ricardo, Frank's retirement made this train happen yes its rare for the Geep to have multi-levels I guess that's why they kept the Alp45dp as trailing, but rarer is having a GP40 in revenue service on the Raritan Valley Line even more so since it's a former CNJ but also being the "blue one".
Very nice catches!!
Thank you for watching Trains in Slovakia - Vlaky na Slovensku greetings from along New Jersey Transit's Raritan Valley Line.
A very nice day. Great video.
Thank you for watching Paulville, Grovemont & New Jersey RR 100% agreed, finally the Raritan Valley Line itself was being railfanned, buffed, foamed all over the whole line "Raritan-Newark" only because of a wrong shade of blue finally made it down the line!
Awesome Video
Thank you for watching Fullerton BNSF Railfan greetings from along the Raritan Valley Line the former CNJ Mainline.
Very nice video adam
Thank you Nick, thank you for posting in the group I would have never known otherwise, also some others too..
Awsome! :D
Thank you for watching Nate, greetings trackside along the Raritan Valley Line.
@@LibertyRailfan Your welcome Adam
If only they used a 7 car comet set, then 4109 could have run solo without the ALP.
We have to be grateful this happened at all. In the beginning of this video, it did come in with comets and a PL42AC, but the comets are a NYPenn set. Transit had to switch things up at the Raritan Yard they dropped the comets and the PL42 for the multi-levels and the alp45dp.
If the comets were a NY set, it couldnt have had a PL42.
@@SusanPauline365 don't know their names while I was there but one of the buffs who may also Transit, who knows the line said it was a NY set. NY set minus the Pl42
@@SusanPauline365 they snatched the comets off of a NY Electric set in Harrison Yard and put it with the PL42AC & 4109.
Great video man! Would you mind telling me what song you used in your channel intro? As I liked it and might use it for my own channel intro :)
Thank you for watching UPRailfan, greetings trackside along NJT's Raritan Valley former CNJ Main. Are you referring to the song here?
ruclips.net/video/cAM9hAq6mbw/видео.html
Yes I am
@@UPRailfan that song was played by a live band at Railfest in Steamtown, Scranton, Pennsylvania. I am not too sure who the original singer was but the song is called "Steam Heat" pretty sure it dates back to the 40's/50's
@@UPRailfan I didn't add Steam Heat song into the video the live band was playing it as I was filming the train.
Ahh okay, that’s a good song though haha
