Have you ever experienced the Harley Wobble. I have on the 2021 Road Glide Special... check out this video as I cover the potential reasons this can happen and what commonly happens to cause the wobble. Simple fix that is covered right here. Thanks for watching and please like, share, comment, and subcribe. Ride safe and enjoy. Rick
Purchased a Lexin for my trip to Sturgis and used it several times to keep my tires properly adjusted on a daily basis. I’m pretty anal about keeping my tires at 36 F & 40 R and I check religiously prior to every ride. Great product.
Thanks for watching and commenting. It's always good to have a portable pump in the saddlebag. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
Just purchased a 2006 Ultra Classic with 19,000 miles in excellent condition. After watching some videos, I now carry, Grease, Wrench for front axle, seal and lubes to change chain tensioners if needed on a long ride, cam bearing, new cam plate, and the title so I can sell it as soon as possible . That was $7,000 dollars wasted. Along with $550.for the Harley dealer to check it out and change the oil. Plus adding head lights for $250 you could actually see with. Harley shop said next visit they'll look at the tensioners and it would be $2,000 to upgrade to hydraulic tensioners. I guess if you're a mechanic and have plenty of expendable income these bikes are great.
Thanks for watching and commenting. The tensioner is definitely something that can go out on the pre 2014 bikes. I have heard that is a common upgrade that eventually needs to be done to those bikes. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
This literally just happened to me a couple weeks ago. I immediately thought it was my air pressure. I pulled back into my driveway, checked the pressure and my front tire was low. I used a similar air pump like yours to pump it up. Those things are lifesavers! Great tip brother!
It may have been mentioned already but I always check 3x to be sure after using a pump to be sure it actually puts the air in. You can’t trust these pumps. With that said, I do like this style of portable pump. I just looked on Amazon and this one is reasonably priced. It’s has a good star rating. I’m going to get the more expensive one. You get what pay for on things like this. 🤙

My 1200 sportster had it BAD at about 75-80. Installed a Superbrace fork brace & it’s completely gone. It also really sharpened up the steering. It’s amazing how much flex is happening on a stock fork.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Sounds like a great solution to the problem. I will say the front suspension on the touring bikes stock is spongy. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊👍✌️
I’ve never experienced it on my StreetGlide but I have on another once while trading bikes with a friend. A road glide actually. And it turns out a nail had been picked up and it was losing air. Good reminder to check your air pressure.
Thanks Ken for watching and commenting. I appreciate you sharing the tip. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Ride safe and enjoy. 👊✌️👍
Great video man and really important safety topic for sure. Glad you found the reason for it and got this sorted out and yes TPMS is good thing to have 100% helmet speaker was super cool

I've replaced everything including shocks bearings tires and still have bad speed wobble alot over 60 mph and about to just rake the front end really look8ng for answers even harley don't know but said it's a common thing 8n the fxdl
Thanks for watching and commenting. Have you had the front wheel checked to see if it's true and not out of round. HD replaced the front wheel on my RGS as it was out of round. Once that was replaced...no more issues. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊👍✌️
It irritates the crap out of me when people refer to motorcycle wobbling or "tank slapping" as the "Harley wobble". Wobbling isn't limited to the Harley brand, it is an issue that spans across many motorcycle brands and I have the scars to prove it.
Thanks Tony for watching and sharing your perspective on the topic. As you mention these situations can definitely present in other brands. I only mention Harley wobble for this video because I'm sharing what happened to my Harley Road Glide Special...so that was the perspective I could share. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍
I had 46 on front 50 on the back. Wobble wobble wobble my fat bob went. I bought a nice tire pressure gauge and went with exactly 36 front and rear 38-39ish. No more wobbly wobble
Thanks for watching and commenting with your experience. Tire pressure certainly a big factor. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍
I don't trust the air pressure gauge on an air pump. They are notoriously bad. Always double-check the fill with a high-quality pressure gauge, preferably a liquid-filled one. They are not expensive and are extremely consistent.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I have found this one to be within .5psi of the TPMS reading on the bike. Thanks for the great suggestion. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👍👊
Thanks for watching and commenting. I generally follow HD recommendations of 36 to 38 in front and 38 to 40 in the rear. These PSI levels with stock Dunlop tires are the same across the Grand Touring models. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍

I have had this happen to me several times. It's always my front tire cupping. I replaced the tire each time and it's good to go.
Yes a cupped tire can definitely cause the wobble. It's never good especially on higher speed sweeping curves. It gets a little dicey. ✌️👊👍
Run 40 and 40. Works great and the higher front tire pressure makes the bike handle better.
