I know this isn't the most recent video, but I have gone through most of the existing ones I find interesting. I just wanted to let you know, you're kind of part of a nightly routine of mine. I get a cup of warm tea, I dim the lighting in my room and I watch one of your reports late at night before going to sleep. Your reviews hold a very high quality in my opinion, but are also quite soothing and relaxing to watch. Thanks!
Paul, your editing and content presentation keeps getting better and better. Again, you're thorough, and touch on important aspects of the airport terminal, lounge, and aircraft carrier. Gosh, we even got to read the wine selection! Well-done! Thanks!!! P.S. No more feet shots, please. 😊
What I've seen so far seems like a great way to crawl to Australia on cheap business class flights and see parts of the world you possibly haven't seen before. Probably good way of gently easing yourself into the time difference as well. Food for thought, thank you Paul!
Thai was always one of my favourite airlines when I lived in that part of the world. All Asian airlines compete on friendly, efficient service, but I always found them amongst the most genuine and elegant in their delivery. The orchid for every business passenger has always been a nice touch. Glad you enjoyed your flight.
I've flown Thai a few times, all on 777's always in economy and every time the thing that impressed me most was how attentive and friendly the crew was. Thai is an underrated airline.
The Thai lounge at KL definitely looks much cleaner then the mess at BKK. Thanks for yet another amazing report Paul, really seeing forward to the next one. Cheers
Adam depends on which one you are in at BKK, Lounge A (domestic) is ghastly. C lounges (at least that’s what I find with the one near C2) aren’t terrible, Royal orchid lounge opposite D3 is the best, Royal Silk Lounge opposite D1 not terrible, a bit dark imo, E “Royal Silk” Lounge isn’t too good, Not sure about E “royal orchid” lounge because I’ve never visited it lol. Fun fact: SQ and BR (EVA) lounges are both catered by Thai Airways, by the same kitchen. I noticed even the omelettes were the same. Funny enough TG’s own lounge catering can sometimes be sub-par (not the case with new lounge but okay)
KUL bought back a few memories for me , lovely to recall . Very nice video as usual Paul . I’ll be interested to see the Scoot video as I fly them in October from SYD to SIN . Thanks for sharing .
great to see another vlog paul wow now you are going back on yourself down to singapore changi which is a super vast airport. the lounges should be great there.
Lovely work sir! My dad would definitely struggle with the position of those controls, he can’t use the armrest on my car without randomly opening the window!
I think the best livery I've seen so far on your trip is the Vietnam airlines plane. That looks beautiful. I am glad the trip has gone decently well for you.
Hi I know this is an old video. I've flown Thai Airways a lot and you're right the attendants are very attentive. I can also say the same for the ground staff. One time I had forgotten to padlock my bags in Bangkok and I quickly went to find a rep and told her my problem. She and the ground staff were very helpful, they found my bags before it was loaded in the plane. I was able to ID them from the bridge entrance as I was not allowed to go to the tarmac. They were kind enough to lock my luggage for me. I gave them a good report. Also in one flight from Bangkok to Manila one flight attendant was going around asking more than once if people wanted red wine or white wine. I decided to test her asked for brandy instead. She gave me two shots! Needless to say I was a wee bit tipsy at immigration. 😅 Glad you enjoyed your flight.
Definitely agree Paul amazing how many larger aircraft are used short haul in Asia. Last time I experienced that was an a310 Lufthansa Frankfurt to Nuremberg in 2001/2
I wanna try Thai over the Pacific after your review, I usually fly Cathay or Korean First over ocean flights from SFO My next trip to Thailand I will definitely be trying Thai. I've just started watching review videos and I think your videos are the best. You review different classes and I like that because I don't always travel first class, usually if the flight is under 8hrs I'll fly business or premium economy. Next the fact you review budget airlines excites me, although I steer clear of US budget carriers; whenever I plan to spend a month or more in Europe I usually fly Easy Jet and Ryan air, it's the best for quick hops I love it. The fact that you are reviewing Asian budget airlines is opening a door for longer stays in Asia.
Another great video! Wonder if you've heard from any others about leaving more of the takeoff sequence in normal speed -- at least until the plane leaves the runway? It's always a great, vicarious experience to see that...
Just flew Thai in First from BKK-SYD. While the lounge isn't anything noteworthy it was quiet and empty. What was noteworthy is the 1 hour complimentary massage in the Royal Silk Spa. If you're connecting to a flight in First they will meet you on the jet way and drive you to the lounge.
Some years ago I was traveling to K.L. often via Singapore. The smallest aircraft Singapore had at the time was a 777-200. As I recall the flight from Changi to K.L. was about an hour. It actually took longer to get into K.L, from the airport than the actual flight.
Paul, that chicken stir fry dinner with the omelet looked delicious! For future videos, can you link the full take off/landing portions of the video in the description for those of us that like that to watch those? Thanks!
These are really great man...thanks for posting them. I feel bad that you can't (or don't want to) spend some time in each place you fly into. Just take care of yourself....easy to get lagged and sick if you aren't careful.
I’ve watched this whole round the world front to back and the one question I had is how many days were you away from home on this trip. The itinerary is amazing.
You are so young - how do you find so much $$$ to travel round the world in business class? I wish i have your formula 30 years ago. I'm too late now....And Paul, your videos are so well edited, I'm a fan after half a video and I hit the subscribe button after watching 5 minutes. Keep it up!!!
Fantastic video as usual Paul you are getting better and better at these somehow. But you have to try Aurigny Air Services at some point. On their Embraer 195 too! Gatwick-Guernsey. Whenever you get a slot in Europe that links up with something else please go for it! :D
You should try Bangkok Airways too! If you're flying from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, you'll have to make a stop at Koh Samui. It's an island airport. I think you'll like; if it's not raining.
The airport looks quite cosy. Nothing wrong with that :). Lounge looks weird, haha. Somehow a charming though. And that is a gorgeous livery indeed! Three point seatbelt? That seems highly uncomfortable at longer journeys. Got to love them taking a picture, haha. The remote looks like a cheap Playstation Portable knock-off. That arrival/gate information in the end is really smart! I'm surprised no one came up with that sooner. Buttery landing. Seems like a nice flight.
The three point seatbelt isn’t worn as such for the whole flight - the lap belt part can be separated and that’s fine for the cruise. You just need the three point bit for takeoff and landing!
I was actually wondering about that. That makes sense. Still surprised about the three part though, I don't see whiplash or bashing your head into the dashboard happen in a plane anytime soon. If you ever find out (or already know) the logic behind this, I'll be glad to hear it!
The Rolling Troll Three point belts are required in Thai’s long haul Business Class seats as part of a regulation in their air certificate to keep the passenger safe. Though as Paul said it can be detached during the flight but you have to wear it as 3 when you’re taking off or landing.
Thank you for your ever increasing quality content. I am making presumptions based on previous videos, but I'm guessing you're based in the MK area? I will be up there on Tuesday and would love to grab a coffee if you're up for it? I'd like to explore a book project with you. In any case, thank you for all your incredible videos. They keep me hugely informed and entertained.
Flew that route a few years ago with Air Asia (The Official Airline of Manchester United as we found out ), when the rail link into Thailand closed due to the riots and civil disturbances. An Interesting experience, given that we had to book the flight at the last minute in the Railway station shopping complex, and even though the travel people had both my wife and my passports, the names on the tickets bore no resemblance whatsoever to what was on our passports. I had become Todger Willi Cortez, so how we managed to fly!!!!! security not up to much, but in retrospect, probably better than the rail journey had been.... Singapore to KL, miles of factories and fields of Palm Oil Trees....glad your experience was better than ours...cheers Roger.
Thai Airways - I've never had a bad flight, Economy or Business Class. Superb service for the price and the staff are quintessentially Thai (thoughtful and kind).
Interpaul81 Yes. 777-300ERs are reserved for high demand domestic/regional routes and long haul routes while the 777-300 is an older configuration with seats from 2006 which are deployed on domestic and Asian routes.
Paul, the unmarked 747s could well be for Malaysian Hajjis on the way to Mecca chartered by the government from a leasing company. Remember seeing a similar pair at Muscat International Airport, Oman, around 15 years ago, sitting on the apron.
No, they’re (probably) owned by a cargo airline. They are not airworthy and haven’t moved for years. Google “Kuala Lumpur abandoned 747s” to see more about the mystery surrounding ownership.
Hi Paul, nice review! What do you think of KL airport security? My impression is that the security checks are just a formality there. The officers don't pay too much attention to the X-ray screen and don't stop people if the metal detector makes a sound. There is another security check before boarding, but it's pretty much like the others.
I have always enjoyed my trips on Thai usually Brisbane to Singapore or Bankok, always a great flight with friendly service and I found their business seating to be very comfortable. KL domestic is not on par with the International terminal, I did KL to Sandakan on Air Asia interesting flight.
Paul you forgot to mention that the Thai lounge at KUL lacks toilets (and showers) meaning you have to exit onto the upper concourse to go to the loo. Weird. TG is indeed a great option btwn KUL and BKK esp. compared to Malaysia Airlines. Dont overlook Royal Jordanian on this route. Pleasant surprise.
Hey Paul, I suggest that you fly Philippine Airlines to Manila in economy, Then fly to Dubai or Hongkong in Business. I recomended them as they Are a 4 star airline and that they have good service. Aside from that you'd expect some short delays. But you will enjoy overall.
Hey Paul, At 0:43 as of now, those “unowned” Boeing 747-8s were meant for Russia’s now defunct Transaero Airlines but are now being converted into the replacement aircraft for the United States Air Force (USAF) to replace the current “Airforce One” 747-200’s also known as VC-25A...
Think you might have things confused there Caleb! Those are fairly elderly, older model, 747s in the video, and ownership is claimed by Swift Air. The new 747-8s weren't delivered at all to Transaero, have never been to KUL and are brand new. The aircraft in the video are not airworthy and nothing to do with Transaero or the new Air Force One programme.

Paul's Trip Reports yep, I’m here!
Yay 🙌🏻
I'm a Patron from Patreon! Just saw the video... great job... very informative! Thank you!
Great price too! Wow!
Thanks Jose!

I'm really enjoying the voice over rather than the txt info on screen. Good move.
I agree id rather here a voice than have to read feel more in touch with the video hearing a voice
I so enjoy your travel , shows as you talk us throughout your journey.
Anyone watch these because they’re calming and have good visuals
Cool to see the Sepang International Circuit featured briefly, always nice as a motorsport geek.
Mate the voice overs are bloody good! Very well spoken
"No Shirt , No Shoes , No Service ". That sign should be posted on airliners .
Why?
Mark If you have to ask, then no one has the time nor the crayons to explain it to you.
At least wear some socks, it's pretty gross
What I've seen so far seems like a great way to crawl to Australia on cheap business class flights and see parts of the world you possibly haven't seen before. Probably good way of gently easing yourself into the time difference as well. Food for thought, thank you Paul!
In less sane moments I have toyed with the idea of going around the world on only narrow body aircraft 😬😬😬
You made a good decision by introducing the voice over, it's very clean and informative.
Very nicely edited and informative review Paul. As you say it’s always nice to have a wide body aircraft on shorter routes. Looking forward to scoot!
For some reason the narration on your videos reminds me of the educational videos we used to get in primary school.
Thai was always one of my favourite airlines when I lived in that part of the world. All Asian airlines compete on friendly, efficient service, but I always found them amongst the most genuine and elegant in their delivery. The orchid for every business passenger has always been a nice touch. Glad you enjoyed your flight.
Yes, I agree the mood lighting is spot on on Thai Airways!👍
I do like Thai airways. Not just a bus trip in the air but a short experience of Thailand.
I've flown Thai a few times, all on 777's always in economy and every time the thing that impressed me most was how attentive and friendly the crew was. Thai is an underrated airline.
It's very nice indeed.

Great trip report Paul! Can't beat the sound of those GE90s :)
Great video Paul. Really enjoying watching your world tour of 25 legs. Its pretty amazing.
Best trip reports on RUclips. Greetings from Halifax, Nova Scotia, canada
Brilliant vlog Paul. I'm here from Patreon. Great initiative to release your Thursday video 2 days early for your patrons. Much appreciated
Thanks so much for the support Ryan!
Nice Paul - really starting to enjoy your new format.
A real wonderful and honest review. I was on the same flight yesterday KL to Bangkok on Thai Airways. They have done well!
Keep it up man!
Thanks for the shout out, Paul.... glad to support your work :-)
Great video Paul! Cool to see all those short-hop business class reports.
Thanks Cole!
Another Great Trip Report Paul!
Love the voice overs instead of the text :)
I love the videos with more narration such as this. Very enjoyable to watch.
KUL bought back a few memories for me , lovely to recall . Very nice video as usual Paul . I’ll be interested to see the Scoot video as I fly them in October from SYD to SIN . Thanks for sharing .
6:07 ahhh music to my ears , great report Paul !
Loved the video, you are one of my favourite. Your so down to earth and honest with your review. 🤟
hope to try thai business class from jakarta to bangkok this year. nice report paul!
I remember my first arrival at Bangkok airport, in those days it was final approach over the paddy fields that bordered the runway too.
Wonderful content Paul. Love binge watching your trip reports.
great to see another vlog paul wow now you are going back on yourself down to singapore changi which is a super vast airport. the lounges should be great there.
My first time watching your reviews and I enjoyed it! You earned another subscriber!
As always sir
Nice job
Greetings from Oslo,Norway
Lovely work sir! My dad would definitely struggle with the position of those controls, he can’t use the armrest on my car without randomly opening the window!
Thanks Phil! Yes, not sure what they were thinking with the seat controls...
I think the best livery I've seen so far on your trip is the Vietnam airlines plane. That looks beautiful. I am glad the trip has gone decently well for you.
Nicely done! It was odd to see you board without a proper welcome.
Superb video Paul

As always a fantastic review Paul!!

Next time you transit KL have a wander round the tropical garden Paul. You filmed it just before you headed up to the lounge : )
I find so many people interested in VN's dark green delivery 😂
Another great video! Wonder if you've heard from any others about leaving more of the takeoff sequence in normal speed -- at least until the plane leaves the runway? It's always a great, vicarious experience to see that...
Another nice video Paul. Looking forward to hear what you make of scoot's 787 and Changi. I had a great experience with both a couple of months ago.
Excellent Paul. Thank you for sharing!!! :):):)
Thai has to be my absolute favourite airline and that’s just using their economy class, one day I’ll head back and fly business. Such a great service
Another brilliant video in your Round The World Series.
Just discovered this channel, looking forward to watching your videos
Just flew Thai in First from BKK-SYD. While the lounge isn't anything noteworthy it was quiet and empty. What was noteworthy is the 1 hour complimentary massage in the Royal Silk Spa. If you're connecting to a flight in First they will meet you on the jet way and drive you to the lounge.
I flew this flight a year ago and although a 777 was scheduled I flew on one of their new a350s 😃
Some years ago I was traveling to K.L. often via Singapore. The smallest aircraft Singapore had at the time was a 777-200. As I recall the flight from Changi to K.L. was about an hour. It actually took longer to get into K.L, from the airport than the actual flight.
Great work as usual Paul. There seems to be a yellow tinge to this video, something in the carmera settings maybe???
Always interesting. Thank you.
Nice Review Paul!😀.
Yes Paul
Looks good👍

Just another Great Video TYVM
I have been traveling through KLIA regularly since 2007. I have been seeing those two jumbos there at least since 2014.
Looking good Paul.
Nice video mate. Seems like a pretty decent product!
I’ve watched this whole round the world front to back and the one question I had is how many days were you away from home on this trip. The itinerary is amazing.

For what you paid in business, I paid more with Vueling from BCN to BHX.
nice review paul
Very interesting world tour - I hope his itinerary allows him time to see many of the places rather than just be passing through
Fantastic video as usual Paul you are getting better and better at these somehow. But you have to try Aurigny Air Services at some point. On their Embraer 195 too! Gatwick-Guernsey. Whenever you get a slot in Europe that links up with something else please go for it! :D
This report is so nice ... Good job as other followers said their is dramatic improving in your vlogs that is awosome ...
You should try Bangkok Airways too! If you're flying from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, you'll have to make a stop at Koh Samui. It's an island airport. I think you'll like; if it's not raining.

I have to ask... so you spent one night in Bangkok. Was the world really your oyster? :) Thanks for another great video!!
Thank you for your ever increasing quality content. I am making presumptions based on previous videos, but I'm guessing you're based in the MK area? I think thwy did very well 👍 food looked very nice . You looked comfortable in your seat and i lijed the mood lighting. Very relaxing 💙👍
fantástic vídeo Boeing 777

Thai Airways - I've never had a bad flight, Economy or Business Class. Superb service for the price and the staff are quintessentially Thai (thoughtful and kind).
This is actually a 777-300ER, which has the 1-2-1 configuration in business class. The 777-300 has the 2-3-2 configuration, I think.
Interpaul81 Yes. 777-300ERs are reserved for high demand domestic/regional routes and long haul routes while the 777-300 is an older configuration with seats from 2006 which are deployed on domestic and Asian routes.
I love Thai Airways I've flown with them SYDNEY to BANGKOK return in economy 10 times now and ive got to say there economy product is outstanding
Can you please include the full engine sound on take-off? I'm sure many would appreciate it!
Crazy in the US that same flight will run you $500.00+

If you thought the seat buttons were badly placed on Thai just wait until you fly Scoot😂
I recomended them as they

@@Paul_Lucas I love your videos great video as always! 😎🎺👍 Cheers! 🥂
Have you flown on Malaysian recently? I’ve used them quite often and reckons their meals were some of the best and biggest I’ve ever encountered.
Thats great value for a BC flight.
Where do you download the background music from, quite funky!
They finally updated the arrival cards to easy english.
