The longer it ages, the more syrup it permeates, the more chewy and delicious it becomes.
You can take it out whenever you want and use it for baking.
🌰Marron Glacé🌰
1 kg of chestnuts
2 spoons of baking soda
Sugar-60% of the weight of peeled chestnuts
1. Carefully remove the tough shells of Chestnut so that it doesn't hurting the inner shell
2. Soak the peeled chestnuts in water, put 2 spoons of baking soda, and leave overnight.
3-1st. Boil the water and chestnuts in baking soda for 30 minutes. then drain the water.
-2nd. Put the water again in the pot, boil it for 30 minutes and drain the water.
-3rd. Lastly, put water in a pot and boil it for 30 minutes and drain the water.
6. Remove the tough string on the chestnuts.
7. Fill the pot full of water, add sugar 60 percent of the peeled chestnut weight and boil (medium to low heat for about 50 minutes.)
8. Add 1 spoon of soy sauce (if you have a rum, add 1 spoon) Boil for another 10 minutes.
9. Put Chestnut in syrup for one night and refrigerate them.
이번에 첨 해봤는데 용기에 다 넣고 나서 남은 시럽 맛봤더니 약간 텁텁한 맛이 입에 남는거 같아요ㅠ 망한거겠죠? 혹시 설탕은 버리게 되더라도 다시 밤 꺼내서 헹궈주고 다시 졸이면 괜찮을까요?ㅠㅠ
속껍질의 텁텁한 맛이 베이킹 소다에 다 빠지지 않은걸까요?ㅠ 밤에서도 텁텁한 맛이 난다면, 한 번 더 설탕에 졸여주면 더 나아질 것 같아요
