I love your video. I am totally blind and you really really described everything you were doing. It really helped me. Somebody just gave me strawberries and they always go bad. I am going to follow this video instructions. I also love the way you do your videos and hope you continue to do them that way and keep speaking everything you do. I know it might be annoying to those who can see. But if they only knew. Some of us out here who cannot see are actually following along
Angie, I'm so glad you found this helpful. Thanks for letting me know. You made my day.
If you are blind, how did you post a comment? I am a bit confused.

Great job. Really helpful after a neighbor gave me so many. Now no worries to keep them fresh.

my main concern was prepping them for strawberry shortcake to have in the middle of winter your method is perfect thank you!
Glad I could help!
Frozen strawberries are not good for decorating a cake as they turn saggy and the texture is off.. but for the inside of the cake is fine
O
Thank you for this information!
Great tutorial, Shelly! So many delicious strawberries 😁👍
Thanks very much.
Love this. I don't know where you're from or if it matters but I'm from the midwest. A while ago, it had been a long while since I did strawberries with sugar so I Googled asking about the ratio of sugar to berries and the "best" I got was "1-2T:1 quart berries." I audibly laughed. When you said "1/2 c sugar" and dumped that bad boy on those berries, I said out loud "that's my girl." 😂😂 I mean, it's sugar y'all. I try not to lie to myself about my love of the ingredient, it is what it is. More sugar just means more syrup, right??
I love your cookie sheet.
THANK YOU 💟.
SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR CH

Yup I already started wash/rinse my blue berries and strawberries but I don't/haven't put on parchment paper yet t ok freeze them first I just put in a zip lock bag and flatten spread out in the bag and lay flat in the freezer works fine and blue e I don't have to cut up how I want to eat them but bananas and strawberries yes but
Where did you get your freezer containers?
how long does it take for berries to dry? :0
Can you thaw and eat as-is or do they go mushy? Is this just for when you will use them in cooking?
They will be a bit mushy when thawed. So it's best to use them in recipes. I hope that helps.
So the fresh ones without the sugar on top how long can you keep them in the freezer for?
It's best to use them within a year. I hope that helps.
Good work thank you so mush

Can i just put the sugar on berries without chopping them?
Are they mushy when they get defrosted?
They won't be like fresh strawberries but are good to use in recipes. But yes, they will be a bit mushy when defrosted.
How long can I keep the frozen strawberries in freezer?
It's best to use them within a year.
I have store-bought strawberries and I can easily just pull the green leaves right off the strawberry without using a knife.
how long can we keep it ?
Up to two weeks in the refrigerator with the vinegar soak method, I hope that helps.
For how long will they last?
That depends on which method you use. If you use the vinegar soak, the berries will keep up to two weeks. I hope that helps.
@@frugalfamilyhome thank you so much
