Some people like content creators to just stick to the facts. But I had a lot of fun doing this video by injecting some humor. Sometimes doing these videos you have to mix it up a little and make it somewhat different, entertaining and fun to do. I personally think we just need to laugh more these days and I laughed a lot making this video. I hope you enjoyed those moments too. *Couple of extra tips* You can use Happy Campers also in the gray tank, but-for me-I prefer the following method: I have a 51gal. grey tank, so about every 3 months or so-especially in the summer when it gets hot-when the gray tank is about a quarter full or so, I take 1 1/2 cups of bleach, mix it with water in my 2qt. plastic pitcher and then pour that solution down the shower drain. The shower drain is the closest to the gray tank. I’ll let that bleach sit in the gray tank for the next few days until the gray tank needs to be dumped. This is a great, fast way to sanitize the gray tank, keep it clean and it won’t stink. When I use my wand to power wash the inside of my black waste tanks, I have a dedicated 25’ water hose for just that purpose.
As RV’ers and boaters we tell guests the only thing that goes into the toilet or heads is what comes out of your body or the paper we supply. Love your rhyme too.
Thank you Martin for the Vaseline tip on the hose ends. Last winter in Florida we had a heck of a time trying to get our hose off the black tank and the two hoses apart!
Just rebuilt my 20 year old toilet. Get a glass of water and put toilet in and stirring it and see how it breaks down. Use the one that breaks down good. I told my customer’s for years. Awesome video.
We use the wastemaster system, The Camlock fitting is much better than the standard sewer system hose and fittings. I made our sewage hose holder out of vinyl fence post. Painted it black, use a vinyl fence post cap as a cover and drilled a hole for the safety pin to secure it while driving,(same pin used like the one for the tow bar).welded three brackets to the frame and the vinyl fence post slides right through the brackets. Works like a dream keeping our hoses stored and out of the way. Thanks Martin for shedding light on this topic.
Oh that's a good idea 👍 Good job 👍👍 Being creative and thinking outside the box like you & I did is necessary to find a good solution. I think folks who store there sewer hoses in a plastic bin or a plastic bag is just nasty, let alone taking up valuable space.
No toilet paper in the tank for us. We use brown paper lunch bags for the TP, wipes, etc. and put it in the trash. Maximizes tank volume, minimizes problems, and allows the use of as much toilet paper as desired of any brand. I appreciate the advice about the mouth siphon on the hose and will stop doing that.
@@admorris11 it’s not a stay at the Four Seasons after all. And you can throw all of it in the trash. Not as gross as trying to flush it into a tank that you sleep on if you think about it. Main thing is that the TP does not trash sensors, can use as much of any TP you like, less water usage, more tank capacity.

I installed the Sea Level Tank sensors. I think it might be the best upgrade I ever made. I had Car Toys install the DC supply; I wired up the sensors. I installed the control box in the wet bay. This location works really well. It was easier to install than the ARP Refrigerator Defender. You are right though, you do know when to dump over time. I just like knowing the tank levels. I use an enzyme product for my black tank. They want you to leave about 10% in the tank when dumping. This leaves enzymes in the tank to break down solids.
After I finish with the tanks before I hit the road to the next site I add some soap powder (cloths) to the tanks with water. I use the scope from my happy camper (one scope per tank). As I drive down the road it cleans the tanks and sensors pretty good. Also adds a little fresh scent to the tank. Cloths detergent does not suds up just like in your washing machine. Once I get to the next site and set up I drain and add water and happy camper.
