He refers to most of his guests by full name though. He thinks referring to them by just first name is too familiar so it's reserved for those he is probably somewhat closer. As far as I understand

He was my spirit animal in that moment. Saying something that you kind of instantly regret...a little, because it's out of character or not appropriate for the situation. But still one of the funniest things I've seen on a talk show.

And there is some poem that's connected to Mark's off-the-cuff poke at Josh. It was all in good fun, and if you watch this clip again, you will see that Josh took it as such. And, obviously, Mark left the stage, and I believe would have stayed gone if Graham, or Josh, felt as you do.
