Another illustration of how good of people they all are was David, the drummer, spent the first month of the Ukraine war picking up refugees and driving them to saftey
Doesn‘t david have relatives in ukraine, so thats why he used his fame to hekp them. And stop touring with your band to help people is so heartwarming. There all very good people
Funny thing is if I heard Kevin's rough vocals six months ago I'd probably would skip the song. Now, I'm addicted to his rough vocals, his clean backgrounds, as well as Nico's clean and rough vocals. The guitars, the drums (I fell in love with David's drum chops almost immediately), the bass, the production, the whole smash. Finding them is like finding a thriving secret society that you've been looking for your entire life. The day my spouse of 40+ years said, "Hey, you need to watch this video" changed everything. He often pulls me in to watch videos, but this one was different. I begrudgingly sat down to watch, and "Ratatata" comes on. I was amused, bemused, and confused, and by the end I couldn't wait to drive full speed down the ECB rabbit hole. THIS is what I've been looking for, for years . Music to be excited about. Off the scale talent performed by incredibly decent human beings who just want to make the world a brighter place by sharing that talent. I can't decide who is the bigger fan now - me, or my husband. Unsolicited advice: Take all the breaks you need. This week a RUclips creator I've been watching for years hung it up due to burnout. It was like losing a friend. You share your own brand of sunshine with the world too. I look forward to your videos. Keep yourself healthy.
harsh vocals are an interesting thing ... how you do or don't get into them. or into heavier music in general. for me, it started with Lord of the Lost. they eased me into that whole thing with their softer and more pop-y songs. at some point, I got cravings for harsh vocals haha, I'm not entirely sure how it happened :D. it's a matter of right band, right time, I guess. in my case, it maybe also wouldn't have happened if I hadn't moved to a bigger city ... the aggression I sometimes feel inside me isn't quite the same when I visit my relatives in our small village :D.
Have you watched a video of David's Kurwa Song drum solo? Not so much flashy as incredibly lyric and tasteful and full of musical sensitivity and skill and genius.
Yes! I watched it yesterday. Absolutely amazing. You know he could show off without breaking a sweat but I just appreciate the skills he brings. His fills are like joy bottled up in sound. Can't explain it. Led Zep's John Bonham could do that on occasion. Like you're waiting for that endorphin rush from a drum fill. Mike DeRosier of Heart, particularly on the song "Barracuda" hits me with the same level of aural joy. There's a RUclips video that is just the isolated drum track from "Barracuda". It's incredible. That's what I'm missing in my life. Isolated drum tracks from ECB.
I never had before. Bon Scott era AC/DC. Heavier music like NIN, some of the industrial rock bands of the 90s, along with Tool, A Perfect Circle. Nirvana. Hard rock style clean vocals for the most part with some roughness. But I always shied away from the really heavier music unless it had a guitar riff or beat that dragged me in. When I first heard Kevin, I honestly was thinking, Okay, no way. This won't work for me. But the hooks. Those tasty hooks. And Nico's vocals. Then I listened to the Tekkno album under headphones and was absolutely blown away by Kevin. Even more so when I realized the layering on some songs was Nico supplementing Kevin's lead vocals and Kevin supplementing Nico's lead vocals. Their combined vocal synergy is pure magic. I don't know how many harsh vocalists will resonate with me. I already know some who won't. I'm just more apt to give them a longer listen than I was pre-ECB.
I will die on the hill that Kevin is a born talent for opera who ended up in the metal scene because someone was not doing their job (a talent scout for opera), but THAT IS good for us music lovers because these mini arias are breath-taking...
Habibi welcome back!! ❤️😊 EC definitely has that effect on everyone that listens to their music. If I could make one suggestion, watch the vlogs that Tank The Tech made while on tour with them, they are so amazing. You really get to see that friendly side of the band and the love they have for Tank and each other, glad you are back buddy
I discoverd EC in 2015/2016 trough the Video to Best Day feat. Sido like a bunch of Germans did. Sido is a famouse german rapper so a lot noticed them trough this collab. But I didnt really followed them till Nico joined and i enjoyed almoust everything they made with Nico. My favorite is Fuckboi because my heart beats for pop-punk. I got to see them live at Rock am Ring this year and it was great. Never thougt a giant rock festival would sing a disney song all together but EC made it happen.
11:26 I couldn’t have said it better myself. I love everything about EC, crew, the fans etc etc. I have not felt more welcomed then I have in the EC community, no judgements at all. The EC vlogs also have opened my mind up more to be a more chaotic and loving person. 😂 And when you get to it. I got playlists for the vlogs and BTS with everything in order. 😄 Or they are also pinned in the discord ec chat. 🤘🏻 Edit: I made my playlists public. Don’t know why I haven’t been earlier. xD
We're thrilled to have you in the Discord! I agree so much that EC's music is like therapy. I put it on when I'm feeling a bit down and it's an instant pick-me-up.
I've just seen them on Pol'and'Rock. One of the best concerts I've been to, they're absolutely perfect live, with all the pyro and their energy. I didn't know how much I needed this concert 😂 I was happy, overflowing with happiness 😍😍🥰🥰
Yesss, As much as I've fallen in love with EC due to their funny side, Parasite is my absolute favorite song of theirs. 🤘 The Life Cycle of an Electric Callboy: First the party, the shenanigans, and the hook-ups of Hypa Hypa, Tekkno Train etc. and then the resulting toxic relationships of Hate/Love, Parasite etc... before the inevitable break-up and return to Pump(ing) it.
EC started in 2010 after the vocalists from Her Smile In Grief left, and Sushi joined the band. Immediately became loved and hated, lol. They had the whole, "not take themselves seriously" attitude back then, and were goofy but they made really great music. Then you know the history of 2020 when Sushi left, and Nico joined.
Love your reaction as always- agree with every word..Such a joy, such a medicine, where has this music been for ages (decades!) from the world, let's hope we get to enjoy it for decades to come and YES I would sell my soul to get to a concert in 2025 :)
Okay but that wedding song SLAPS and I’m just imagining it with filthily detuned guitars and…I see it. As one of the people saying „Parasite WHEN“ in every video comment section I’m so glad you have taken a listen. This song is my favourite moment in their shows, top of my playlist…the acid bass just DOES something to my 90s/2000s techno fan heart. The whisper into the monstrous breakdown…a masterpiece. It is definitely therapy! I’m on my 5th show now :) they are lovely and the community is lovely, I’ve made amazing friends thru EC ❤ Also liebe Grüße an Ramsey(?) your editor. Enjoy the translations a lot !
Hooray! You found my favorite Electric Callboy song! I can confirm that the live show is so much fun! Everyone is dancing, moshing (but looking out for one another), and singing along. Random chants erupt in the bathrooms and when leaving the venue. People are dressed as characters from the videos. Highly recommend the experience!
Agree 100%, went to EC show in Denver and left there on a natural high. They end show with 'We Got The Moves' and I swear every single person who left that event afterwards had a smile on their face.
Man, I gotta get back into the discord. I've only been there once and that was for a planned hang with the band when they first started it. I just forget it exists. ALSO. I feel the same as you, EC helps me reset. I love seeing the fans in this video.
100k already happened last Thursday at Pol'and'Rock Festival in Poland :) You can watch a video from this concert on KreciolaTV channel. Enjoy :) ruclips.net/video/KNyQP5ql6pY/видео.htmlsi=WAxippG8YOf9tgCA
How…auspicious. I had just pulled up this video and started it, and while listening to you talk about the EC Discord server, I opened a package I got in the mail, and it was the EC t-shirt I ordered! I got the Choo Choo (Tekkno Train) t-shirt.
So glad you’re back! Hope you feel rested now! 😊❤ I got late to them as as well, even though they’re from my country. It just means we don’t have to wait that long for the next new song. 😉😊
This music is absolutely therapy. One show gives me energy and good vibes for a month. Hey, can you link that wedding song? It sounds great! Hope you had a good break 👋
I think the phrase you were looking for at the end may be "decompress". To off load all the crap that's built up and face the world again. Metal has been that for me for 30+ years now. I'm so pleased you're checking out one of my favourite EC songs! Woohoo!! Can't wait for you to check out Crystals, it will surprise you 😂
The word you were looking for in english could probably be catharsis. The process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from strong or repressed emotions. Dunno if it completely fits, I'm not a native speaker either. I'm german, and according to the internet (bogus) the arabic language only has like 7 Million words up on us 😋 So, that might be an interesting tidbit of information... Or might not be, who knows
Man… two weeks ago I saw them in concert at Masters of Rock… what a show!!! They set the place on fire with smoke, confetti and pyro… everybody was jumping… WOW I sent you some footage on IG Keep it metal🤘🤘🤘
Hi, welcome back! The EC Discord is way too crowded for me, I like my Discord servers more cozy :D ... Parasite maybe is my least favorite song on Tekkno. Still good though :).
first:) i think your receptors are gonna get a beating again:)
First gets pinned!

Love your reactions , you are so into it.
❤️❤️❤️ Love from Germany
Stay heavy and happy
Can confirm: going to EC shows wasn't only therapy. It was two of the best days of my life.
Stoked to have you in the discord!
Im begging! Do Hate/Love next. Kevin and Nico scream together. It’s the first song the new iteration recorded, I believe.
I can't wait for your reaction to 'Mindreader'. It's my favorite serious song of theirs!
