12:23 there is direct toggle in iPhone. Go to Accessibility in Settings, then Accessibility Shortcut…then check White Balance. It will activate on and off when you triple click the side button. I love using it esp at night.

I just found your channel and I'm so glad I did! I was pretty much a wizard when it came to android and what you can do but after 10 years I craved something different. So I made the jump to an iPhone 14 pro. I wont lie, it has been sitting there for days because of my intimidation of 1.Breaking it and 2. Not knowing anything about IOS. Oh my god. I have the iPhone 14pro. My first ever iPhone after a decade with android. I missed the extra dim feature so much. My screen was so bright at night even on the lowest setting. Your hack is a GODSEND. Thank you so much.

for extra dim, go to accessibility, display & text size, scroll all the way down to the bottom, enable reduce white point

To have a black screen on the Lock Screen go to Display & Brightness then Always on Display then Show Wallpaper. Turning the toggle off will show a black background rather than your wall paper.

12:25 You can also add “zoom” in accessibility shortcut so you can easily turn on the lowlight filter by pressing the side button three times
MY EXTRA DIM HACK: I work nights and so I'm usually unwinding on my phone in bed while my partner is sleeping and try to make my screen as dark as possible. I linked the accessibility triple back tap option to reduce white point (through accessibility shortcut). So now whenever I'm in a situation where the normal screen setting is too bright, I just triple tap and it dims significantly. While in this setting you can control the brightness even further using the normal brightness slider in control center. Then just triple tap again to go back to normal brightness.

I wish the iphone 14 lineup have a widget at the lockscreen as many as you want or full it of widgets
There’s another way to dim your screen: Settings > Accessibility > scroll to “GENERAL” > Accessibility Shortcut > Reduce White Point. To activate it, just click the power off button 3 times. If you have more then one Accessibility Shortcut, it would pop up a menu and you could just click one of them to activate it! To change the dimness of Reduce White Point: Settings > click search bar > search “Reduce” > Reduce White Point > Turn the “Reduce White Point” on > Change the percentage to your likings by scrolling the white dot. 😊 Now it will be set to that brightness whenever you turn it on! I personally like 75%-72%!!

You can go to settings then brightness and display and turn off always on display, hope that helped one year later 😅
All these features remind me when I had my Samsung Notes/ Galaxy phones. Except on the Samsung/ Android you could do way more then what you are showing on this video lol.

Of interest to me is the double-tap on back of phone to start camera....S Ultra=double press on/off, and then ya can speak/yell "eeee" to operate shutter.....Me fav star constellation is the scorpion 🦂 which to me looks like a flyin kite.....good review

sooo i had top widgets until the other day, the app would not launch so i went to delete and redownload. now there are like 20 apps that say top widget with a similar icon but they are NOT the same ! im frusterated i cant find the right one now

Honestly, if i could afford a new phone i would definitely go with the iPhone pro. I honestly love the new dynamic island feature. It might look so cool and cool to have in hand. Only if i could afford to get it lol. Anyways, nice video ella.

Why such a small widget area on the lock screen? (I added world time and battery status and thats it) On android I can add so many. Its good to see Apple following android on a lot of customizations capabilities👏👍
Wow. Maybe in another 10 years IOS will be as customizable as Android is today! Good job. Lol. Great video and presentation. I switched to Android some time ago and I am still happy I did. IPhones are also good phones and it really is mostly about personal preference these days. I still love the essentially unlimited customization of my Samsung flagship. Hard to give that up.
I traded my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for an iPhone 14 Pro Max (and have 4 more days to exchange it)…The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is calling me! It’s the camera for me, I’m trying to like my new iPhone and not exchange it, oye!
