Knicks @ Lakers, February 16, 2003 | Fifth straight 40+ point game by Kobe and 9th consecutive game with at least 35 points. Despite another 40-pointer by Kobe, it would be Allan Houston who'd steal the show with a career high 53 points to lead the Knicks to victory.

Durant?? I mean Jordan i get it, but prime Kobe would've murdered Durant. He had more weapons than Durant has

BLACKYZ92 Durant does have a height advantage. Pound for pound, Kobe absolutely obliterates KD. Like you said, more moves in that arsenal.

TOTALLY. Especially in 2003 before the knee surgery... I think he had the best footwork during that year that the NBA has ever seen. It's indescribable how effortless and balanced he was, no matter how he moved or who defended him.

@@eskimo289 people forget after 2006 and up. He played injured basically the rest of his career... Whether it was his finger or knee or ankle.. And he still was one of the greatest scores.. What if he was never injured. Hmmmm🤔

03 was his physical peak. Who knows what would have happened if his knee didn't get fucked up and he didn't have any off court issues. It took him 2 seasons to get back to his flow. His 03-04 and 04-05 seasons were good but not up to his standards. That's literally 2 seasons worth of prime athletic mamba we were robbed off.

Kobe in 04 and 05 was individually an absolute beast on the court. Recording triple doubles, dunking on so many players while raining buzzer beaters and game winners. Team success was not up to his standards, but individually he was still unstoppable on the court.

At the height of his powers Kobe was forced to use bums like smush parker and chris mihm. Lebron has had wade, bosh, ray allen, kyrie Irving and Kevin love. And still will never be the black mamba! Long live the G.O.A.T.!

Bro is it possible to get more 2003 Kobe in HD?? There's not much out here. It's all poor video quality. This is beautiful.

    • @silvershadow8405

HD didn't become the standard for NBA games until 2007 or 2008 I believe. Before that only a select few games would be in HD.
