Jimenez is hitting .524(11 for 21) since the trade! He’s locked in that DH spot in the middle of the batting order. No HR’s but simply can hit the ball past the infield, and either get on base or knock in some runs. This exactly the type of bat that the O’s needed for the playoffs.
I was skeptical about them but they are definitely continuing to play well. Efflin pitched lights out. I guess they all had to up their game to play with a team that's winning this year. The Os were struggling for a few games now they are starting to look better
If Rodriguez can be healthy by the playoffs, then they have a 1, 2, 3 punch with Burnes, Eflin and Rodriguez. Then if they need a 4th guy deeper in the playoffs, they can mix it up with Suarez/Kremer/Rogers. Perez/Cano/Dominguez can be the 7, setup and closer. The only guys I don’t trust much are Soto and Kimberly.
I know Henderson has had a few Fs of late. but I absolutely admire his confidence. I don't care if it is stretching a double to a triple or digging to do what shouldn't be done as a SS. Right now, he has to prove to me that he is not as good as I think he is.
I feel like this year we might do very well in the playoffs. If elfin is pitching like this and Grayson is pitching well like 5 scoreless innings, we can do so well. Not to mention burnes is already great. Last year when we got swept we had no pitching in games 2 and 3. This year feels different. And I feel like the amount of homers we are hitting is great. Because in big spots in the postseason, ex: 1st and 2nd two out we have those home run hitters such as Santander and Henderson just to name some who can hit big homers for us. Crazy how everyone is counting us out. When I opened up TikTok I saw so many videos saying that the orioles are way too young to win the World Series. How does young affect anything? The only issue we have in my eyes is the bullpen. I don’t trust anyone to keep a 1 run lead. If coulombe comes back healthy then u will trust him. But for now we just have to have other bullpen guys step up. Orioles for the ws 2024!!!! Don’t doubt us!

This stat requires a pitcher to have at least 50 innings pitched in their respective stadium. Meanwhile, Grayson Rodriguez has the best ERA in baseball, as well as never losing a game when pitching following a loss or a no-decision where he gave up 4 runs or more. Between that fact and the fact that the O’s need to win 4 of the 6 starts made by the trio to win a 7 game series in October, it’s starting to look like nobody is capable of beating us on our way to the Fall Classic. Plus you have Rogers in that #4 slot, and Kremer, throughout his entire career, has had the most success in the 1st inning as a starter, thus making him a great bullpen option in the postseason.

I hope Efflin can keep this up. We so very badly need more ace pitching, and with Grayson out with an injury right now, we can't put it all on Burnes.

Kinda sucks going all RH starters if we come across a lefty dominated line up but they're the best 3 by a mile.

Yet again the bullpen fails to do its job. Sure, a win. But a close game would have gone down the tubes. Someone needs to get things in order.
