I'm also a Fractal FM9 user, but I still have my HX Stomp. I stayed to the end, but partially so I could tell my metal only Helix friend about the new update regarding the 5150 III. I love you guys, and always enjoy your videos. :)
I'm a Fractal user (just upgraded to an FM9) watching this out of curiosity. Yay for Line 6 finally implementing the Ecstacy and 5153 amp models into the Helix...but yes, as you said, been enjoying these on Fractal units for years now.
Hope you got the Turbo. Do the Cooper course to learn how to use the thing if needed. How much better do you like the 9 over the FM3 or whatever you had?
@@MOAB-UT Yeah, in the past I had the FM3 before, along with an FC-6, then an FC-12. Quite honestly, for the minimal price difference, the FM9 is the ticket. After a detour into plugins for awhile, two weeks ago I got a brand new FM9 Mark II Turbo direct from Fractal and am loving it.
@@chrisnaishguitar Cool. It's a great unit. I had one. Just did not care of the UI. Too much work- even when you figure it out. SOld it and did not lose any money. Bought a tube amp and some nice pedals. Enjoy it!
I have no place in the world of worship/religion (no offence intended), but man you guys have one huge thing in common… you’ve all got your finger on the pulse of current tech, and how to get the most out of it. Keep it coming!
Thanks! We actually started this channel with the intention of making content that wasn’t specifically tailored for the church/worship audience, so no offense taken at all 👍🏻
Fractal guy, ha!! Also own a real Bogner 101b with the original 4x12 cab with v30’s. If you dig the Bogner go grab the York audio cab packs. It really makes the difference for the Bogner thing. I run a mix of GNR cabs and Bogner cabs in my FM9.
Gain Monsters, the Giant of KANDAHAR/HELIXHAR has Come for sure. Super Reverb, Jensen speakers 10 inch, some came with 15 inch speakers, Probably some had eminence and Oxfords, and some guys had JBL upgrades, so possibilities are endless. Yeah I would say Andy's demo would be the Typical Super Sound. Sounded Great by the Way, love Bradford's Demos too.Brian found a beautiful Clean on the Bogner. GREAT.
3:43 Speakers make a huge difference. Honestly, if you take a similar amp tone, and switch the speakers (not to mention the mic and mic position) you can get way more variation than just switching to a different (but similar) amp. For example, if you are using a Marshal style hi-gain tone, it will make more of difference to your tone to change cabs/ mics than it would to switch to like a Soldano or something similar to a Marshall.
Idk what the bridge is cause that looks like it’s been swapped, but if the middle and neck are stock, they’re SD SSL6 pickups. Stock the DK24 comes w a full shred in the bridge.
Yes we have quite a few presets that are set up that way. The Ecstasy preset we made for this FW, as well as the Mesa Lonestar, Bogner Goldfinger, Friedman BE100, and others from our Tone match line of presets.
Pretty week update after a year. They need to step up or Fractal will continue eating their lunch- even cheaper competitors like NUX. Sounds is still too thin IMHO. Just use some good Neural Plug-Ins. They sound great and are much cheaper.
Are you looking for “German Extra”? That’s what it’s called. But if you don’t see them then it does in fact mean something isn’t updated. You have to update both the editor and the unit.
I just discovered that this is the first Helix update that will not work on Windows 7. (Yes, I am still holding on to my Windows 7 PC that I built myself). HX Edit told me "no updates available" so I went to the website and found that the 3.80 update is not supported for Win7. Very sad.
@@myronsamuels8798 I started working with Windows 3.11 in 1991 and was in the IT support trenches every day. Each new version of Windows since then had something to offer, better stability, performance, security, some compelling reason to upgrade... until they finally got it right in Windows 7 SP3. Then they started trying to sell us features we didnt want, with concealed services running in the background. Windows 10 and 11 are not improvements to 7, they just allow data mining so Microsoft can sell your activity data. I am holding out as long as i can.
@@wttone Would love to but it is raining. It's all good. Just don't keep saying WE. WE, the people find it super annoying son. Your vids are decent but a bit long winded. Land your plane. We would prefer that. Are we clear?
Thanks Erik! Seems to be a common theme where people try to use God's name to attempt to shame us in order to get something for nothing. Which to me seems a lot like taking His name in vain. But I digress... 😅
@@wttone I don't agree with the first brother but as far as Catholic church, it depends if he means modern day version or the one from the early Apostles Creed, which we would want to be part of. Signed, valuable customer of tone 🙂
Bradford playing Halo music wasn't on my 2024 bingo card but I am here for it and will now require a recreation of the whole soundtrack
That Super Reverb model sounds amazing!

Thanks so much! 5150’s seem to be getting a lot of love. Fractal also recently added some (the Stealth model, I think?)
WT tone is back! Great video boys. 🖤
The way Bradford described the Bogner was excellent.Proving Guitarist-Speak can be a great language.Well done !

Really appreciate you guys taking the time to dial in some tones for the new amps! They sound amazing!
Happy to help! Thanks!
Excellent demo on the new update as always!

Guys I watched to the very end and I almost didn't back up my helix before the update and I'm glad I did! It's important!!
Bradford's playing sample at 19:55 was awesome

bro, that pink Charvel and those Fender tones...feel like I'm back in 1986 all over again!!!
Sean getting some of those “Mick” chords in there. I was listening and not watch for part and was like… did they do a cross with That Pedal Show? Lol
I was reading your comment as he hit the that pedal show intro chord.
the bogner ecstasy is my new favorite amp model
The Bogner Ecstasy stompboxes were great. I played a blue for many years; it was a great “drive channel” for my Carr Artemus.

Love these
That Super Reverb could deliver some great Dire Straits tones I think
Dude, does Sean have a band??? I need to go listen to more of this guy’s playing
Yeah he was the lead guitar player in ERRA for about 10 years

For sure! It's a huge factor.
Long live Master Chief
@ 7:46 - Definitely some 80's vibes there - I feel like its "Forever" - Lazer Club?
Definitely some 80's inspiration on that one. It's 'The Outfield' by The Night Game. Great band!
Looks like Brian is playing Alterbridge blackbird in 6:12 lol
@wttone Just curious why you didn't TM2 the Fender Super Reverb if you have one? Is there something wrong with the cab on your amp?
Mostly because we just bought it right as we were making these videos, so we hadn’t had time yet.
Who else caught The Night Game- Outfield?
🤜🏻🙌🏻
just a great album!
Is this the John Cordy update!
Great sounds and thanks for the update information! Real question here - I am curious as to which type of worship you play at with these sounds....
Thanks! I’m not quite sure I understand what you’re asking, though…
@@wttone Possible. Even probable.
@@wttone Thanks for your tip about the SRV cabinet. I will try it with a Jensen IR.
Hoping they fix the 3.80 update fore the HX One. Got pulled for some reason.

what pickups are those in the pink charvel?

did you have to level up for this? #kemper
21:35 Yes I am, Bradford!😂
Do you think it is on the same level as the fractal?
Brian here. I think some of the amp models are at that level, but not all of them. Fractal has the edge on effects and stock cabs.
Do y’all have any patches using multiple amp channels? I almost never see people use them anymore.

how's about hearing the amp not the reverb and over the top echo,
Plenty of samples in the video 👍🏼
this time they have to bring someone out of the box to play EVH riff kkkk
