Thank you to my good friend Dr. Alec Brown for giving us a great tour of his reptile room/home! Don't forget to answer today's Q of the D! For more information on how to can support my animals/RUclips channel, unlock fun perks, and chat with me directly, check out: www.patreon.com/Reptiliatus!
You can tell Alec is a good veterinarian, he has a gentle cadence to how he speaks and it was really soothing to hear him explain his frogs and geckos. Always a pleasure! Hope to see him and his lovely animals again real soon ❤️
I love the contrast of the bright lighting and the clean, black rack system. The new layout is crystal, and the frogs and geckos are even better and the oophaga histrionica "pacasi" for sure is my favourite.
I saw the first video about Dr.Browns gecko breeding project when I was getting back into the hobby and was still deciding on what animals to focus on. For me, this was the one video that was like an influential "that's it!" moment. Now I keep small dart frog species and dwarf geckos in relatively big glass boxes with natural plants too, and it looks beautiful.
Alec has a very calming voice. As a vet I find if fascinating that he can find time to work the hard GP vet schedule and still take care of so many reptiles and maintain a social medial presence with reptiliatus. I certainly could not pull it off.
The set ups for the Dart Frogs and Geckos are just impeccable. Amazing little collection can’t wait to check out more of the collection in the near future 🤞🏻.
I couldn't think of a better person for endangered species and the subsequent future of the species be in the hands of. Great work Dr Brown. He's doing amazing things for conservation
Finally getting caught up on the videos. This was such a fun one to watch. There is no way I could pick a favorite but would love to add some to my collection one day.
Oh also for the QOTD, id say oophaga Lehmanni, i love the bold black pattern against the solid color :) hoping we can figure out the redness in captivity, but im actually quite partial to the orangey look, if its not a matter of health and wellbeing!
Cool herp room tour! I loved the Oophaga histrionica "Pacasi". If I were to purchase some personally it would be Oophaga solanensis or Oophaga histrionica "Blue".
I love ur collection of dart frogs dr. Alec!! I love all my dart frogs I have but I do prefer the bold dart frogs myself , they r out more the one I have just hops rite to the door ,he is a rare frog and he will get 2 inches long anyway thank u for a fun great video!!! ❤
Oophaga Bahia salono is definitely my favorite but watching this made me realize how lucky us large obligate keepers are in America because of the availability of almost every species of large obligates
@@ReptiliatusI don’t think it’s about you or a reflection on your content! They have kind of a short attention span and have to be really interested to watch a youtube video. And somehow they really connect with Dr Brown.
1.2 means 1 male and 2 females :). Any number before the "." represents the number of male animals and any number after it is female. Sometimes there is an additional number ex. 1.2.1, and those numbers represent unsexed animals. Hope that makes sense!
knowledge noboby wants to know: the origin of the name "Lehmann" is german and is pronounced almost like dayyan saying it, just the E is longer.. leeemanni or [ˈleːmani:] , if anybody can use the things. sorry dr. brown, but dayyan's the winner here :D

It's a slick rack for sure! I LOVE those frogs!
Je ne suis pas vraiment du type ''grenouille'' mais je pourrais écouter Dr. Brown en parler toute la journée. Il a une voix tellement apaisante.

Thanks for sharing! The orange ones are quite nice as well but I really love that red froglet!
Cool herp room tour! I loved the Oophaga histrionica "Pacasi". If I were to purchase some personally it would be Oophaga solanensis or Oophaga histrionica "Blue".
They were my favourite in the room! Oooo you have great taste in frogs my friend!
Where are those tanks from? And what shelving and how does it look so clean 🧼

Glad you like them! Very cool! Thanks for sharing/watching 🐸!
Where did you get those shelves? What tanks are compatible with them? If you don’t mind
I love Auratus. I have a big 48”x24”x36” terrarium growing in right now that is going to be just for them.
Very cool! 🐸
I need to know how Alec makes those mini feeding ledges for his baby geckos!!!
I'd love to get some large obligates I'm just a little to poor at current pricing
I feel you after investing in the animals I have arriving soon 😮💨!
Its hard to lell! Ave matia 9:50
Oophaga Bahia salono is definitely my favorite but watching this made me realize how lucky us large obligate keepers are in America because of the availability of almost every species of large obligates

@@Pollenoverponds I’m just teasing! Happy they enjoy him! He’s a good friend and deserves all the love and appreciation!
With Bonnie in charge, I’m sure those animals are well taken care of.
Absolutely 🐶
@Reptiliatus : I'm considering getting some dart frogs. What are your thoughts on misting systems to maintain enclosure humidity?
A must! Def worth the investment!
Crowned tree frogs are a species that I hope to get to someday, I know they’re not dart frogs but they are large obligates 😂
My favorite Dart Frog was the Harlequin Dart Frog

QOTD: Oophaga sylvatica El Pangan/Koi they are stunning
Couldn’t agree more! Can’t wait to see those become available next year (if I’m not mistaken)!
