I'm not a pocket knife enthusiast. Have been using the same one my best friend got me as a groomsman's gift like 15 years ago. lol That said, I do like the look of this one. It looks like it would be much easier to sharpen. Finally, may I request that you just re-watch this video to hear the loud banging and booming sounds your mic is picking up? It sounds like your mic is sitting directly on the tabletop and that maybe the table isn't sitting square on 4 legs, so as it rocks it's conducting really loud, low frequency sounds. Some of the sounds reminds me of when I'm wearing a big watch that keeps hitting my desktop. I think just adding some sort of padding under the microphone would help dramatically.
I too am not a fan of most Gerber knives as well. But every now and then there is an exception... Personally I like frame locks as well as open pillar construction, but you'd be better off with a Kershaw variant of the same design as well as steel BUT with a speed assist.. For example the Kershaw Cryo 2, or better yet, the Misdirect, or the Oblivion... Great review!
This my first knife. Tbh I didn't know what I was getting and I was pleasantly surprised. After about three days opening it has gotten easier but I dunno how well it'll break in.
I've been tempted by this knife... I really like the aesthetics. The fliplock lever in open looks like a hinderance for me - i like to get in closer for more control when using a blade. I think it'd be more useful if the blade was a bit thinner. I'd prefer a lanyard on it rather than a clip and perhaps scales both sides. It's an interesting design though and something a bit different which is cool.
Your videos are pretty genuine, and I like that

I like mine, action smooths out in time. Oiled my bamboo would and make it literally razor sharp

Did you figure out that it will open that package better than the one you opened it with?
