Do you have any videos with tips on slicing settings for resized files? My prints are fine when I leave them as-is, but when I double the size they fail every time. Any advice or videos available?
The model is one foot already or u want to scale it to one foot? Google inches to mm, and then input the mm value it gives you for the number of inches you want. Alternatively there is an extension that will convert cura to show inches.

Maybe stupid question but when scaling them. Does the measurement start at the white box or is it the total measurement? I have a print on here and it says it's 3" tall but I can tell if that 3" from centre making it 6" total, or 3 inches total?
But once you do all that, has to be saved somehow? Because I do save the newly changed image but then when I reopen the file comes back to the original measurements.
Do I need to change any other settings? I increased on model by 25%, sliced it but the print is very rough compared to the smaller version. Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm using an ender 3pro and cura
this is a great video and really well made! i got a question though im trying to scale down a trash can and the layers become too thin and even disappear in some spots. do you know how i can fix this?
If parts of the model disappear once sliced that means those parts are to small to print accurately with your nozzle. Turn on print thin thin walls and print small features and it will help a little. But the part may not be accurate. Sometimes geometry disappears if its thinner than the layer height as well.
Oooo I have a video on that. Probably time for a new one. The basics: go into your cura profile, and find the folder with printer presets. In that folder there will, or won't be an stl file named after your printer. If you replace that stl with one of your own design, it will alter the appearance in cura. If there is no stl file for your printer. You will need to open the profile for that printer in your file explorer, under cura, and open the .xml file. If you also open the ender 3 .xml file you will find a line with the buildplate parameters, you can copy and paste that line to your printers .xml, then alter the name in quotations to whatever you set the desired build plate stl to. Opening the profile in a text editor and searching .stl is the fastest way to find the desired line.
Thanks for the video! I have a problem with Cura.. There are times when i load .STL files, that i know others have managed to print well, but they load larger than their actual size on the program! Check the physical x, y, z sizes (lower left when model is loaded). Make those numbers exactly what you want by "scaling" - that is what it is called. Good luck.
I’m a noob, but how do I know if it’s scaled to the exact dimensions as I drew it in fusion 360? It automatically scaled it to %1000 but the dimensions aren’t the same as my drawing. Thank you for any help!
If you select the scale it will tell you the dimensions in mm. Make sure uniform scaling is ticked, and type in the desired length in mm. It should adjust everything else to scale.

Click on the on the object and on the left side click the icon with two different size rhombi there you will see a percentage you can change to scale the object

after scaling a part of wing for rc plane the outer skin cant be printed it just prints the inside but before scaling it is all good, any ideas?

X,y,z width depth and height, at their maximum for the model

Good video but the colors you choose for your Cura suck Yellow Black and Grey are very hard colors to show.

I dunno if you solved this yet, but cur works in percentages so you will have to do the maths
One divided by 25 times 100 equals the percentage
i was told to scale to 600-1000%. i'm too dumb to understand how i do that in cura lol.
